K3587 answered Sunday May 16 2010, 2:22 pm: Because I'm too lazy to research it, as apparently you are too, I'm going with common knowledge. Vomiting constantly will damage your esophagus and your teeth, what with the stomach acid not being where it's supposed to be. Consistent laxatives will likely mess with your digestive system, cause constant cramps, and basically destroy your ability to hold it in. So which is worse? Fucked up teeth and a dilapidated throat? Or stomach pain and uncontrollably shitting your pants? I see no clear winner. [ K3587's advice column | Ask K3587 A Question ]
laynemayhem answered Sunday May 16 2010, 12:54 pm: i would think throwing up. laxatives just make you have to go to the bathroom before you're ready to. i know there might be some colon damage there, but with throwing up, your body can't absorb the nutrients from food and it makes you weak and fragile.
i hope i helped, but i also hope you didn't ask this question because you're trying to lose some weight. its not worth it in the end, trust me. take care. [ laynemayhem's advice column | Ask laynemayhem A Question ]

SeXyLaCi_XoX answered Saturday July 31 2004, 12:13 pm: They both are horrible. If you make yourself throw up, you can burn a hole in the espoghus, get stomach ulcers, and it will eat away at your teeth from the acid. It also will make you ahve bad breathe. If you take laxatives, then you are forcing your self to have to be near a toilet for a given amount of time. That's not healthy for your body either because the food is getting all digested and when its about to be absorbed it is gettin flushed out of your system. You could end up with a long term problem with your intestines for not letting them do there job. So there are my reasons of why they both are bad. You can't really pick which one is worse when they both are horrible!
spacefem answered Saturday July 31 2004, 11:19 am: Both of them deplete you of nutrients, but if I had to pick one I'd say throwing up was worse because the stomach acid eats away at your teeth and esophogus until you have no way to eat. Laxatives will make you more dehydrated though, so you'll feel worse. [ spacefem's advice column | Ask spacefem A Question ]
ballerina04 answered Saturday July 31 2004, 10:14 am: they're both bad. throwing up can make the stomach acid come up and that'll ruin your esophagus and your teeth and mouth. i'm not completely sure what laxatives do, but i definitely know it is not healthy. please, if you need anymore help, send me a message
bl0nd3en0ughx3 answered Saturday July 31 2004, 8:39 am: Well taking Laxactives is VERY harmful to your body. If your throwing up while your sick its okay. But not if its for an extended time and uncontroablly. Go to your doctor for that. Or the emergency room, Hehe. [ bl0nd3en0ughx3's advice column | Ask bl0nd3en0ughx3 A Question ]
TheAdviceGuru answered Saturday July 31 2004, 8:31 am: Throwing up because what happens is your stomach acids eat away at your esophagus and that can lead to cancer. plus it can cause severe tooth decay. But no matter what and whoever you are i hope you dont devide to do either cause both are unhealthy [ TheAdviceGuru's advice column | Ask TheAdviceGuru A Question ]
