I would cry too. You're nowherr near selfish! You've gone through a lot and sumtimes crying helps! People shouldn't care that your the only person wita wheelchair.. yoo can't help it. God makes everything happen for a reason..All yoo can do is pray.. Oh and i'm sry if yoo don't believe in God but i do.. and thats wut i believe.. so cry you're eyes out.. yoo have a reason to.. you're wheelchair should matter to no1.. you'r still a person!

It is never wrong to cry. You arent being selfish, and youre not a cry baby. I can see why you are sad about this.. You arent able to do the things you love to do. And its okay to cry.

No,you have every right to be bitter and sad. I'd be sad if that happened to me,too. You were robbed of your legs and I'm really sorry. I can't relate to you obviously, but you have my sympathies.

of course you are not just being a cry baby. You are incable of doing the things that you used to that you love. There is nothing wrong with crying when you think back on them sometimes. but you do have to learn to accept how you condition has made your lifestyle, and begin to realize all the good things you still have. Appreciate the fact that you are still alive. But I am sure that rehab will help you understand and get through life better. Good Luck! :)

chaos answered Saturday July 24 2004, 12:39 pm:
All right I am just adding a bit. It's hard when you feel like you can't do something you used to do normally. I hurt my ankle really seriously 3 months ago. I am 90% better now, but I had some terrible days of crying, pulling my hair out, and asking why me.

Try to focus on what you can do. There are places on the internet and people who have wheelchairs, and how they coped. Look it up on yahoo or ask jeeves. There are also information on sports and wheelchairs. There may be something close to your town if it isn't in it.

You are going to rehab. That's a good thing. They will help you do things you can't do now and you will be stronger. It was actually fun for me. You get out of whatever you put into it. The harder you can stand to work without hurting yourself, the more you can do each day. Some days you do more than other days.

Mercy_x_Me answered Saturday July 24 2004, 12:17 pm:
no, its absolutely not wrong to cry. I am so sorry whats happened to you. Yes, it is quite sad and its worth crying but it doesnt ever limit you!! I was in Boston and I saw someone on a WHEELCHAIR wind surfing. Maybe you should get some therapy. It must be sad to miss all those things that you used to do. But dont give up hope!! People in the OLYMPICS play on wheel chairs. There is so much you CAN do. And i dont know how bad your case is, but maybe sometime, or someday you will heal. And if not think of yourself as the start of something. When you grow up, whether or not your in a wheel chair, you can find new things for people in wheel chairs... like rides for them... and huge research on how to heal peoples legs... or anything really. your options are opened. So even if you cant play sports now, there are plenty of things you can do. Remember, the sky is the limit....

Feelin Blu

I would cry to if that happened and stuff got to me but really just because you can't do some things like sports and rides you can always have fun doing other things and helping other people cope with being in a wheelchair and be a good role model and get into a good college...get married and everything else that comes along the way...

Hope I helped

These things happen and as horrible and unfair as they may be, theres not a lot you can do about it. It's absolutely alright to cry, some people say it doesn't help anything but every now and then things do build up and you have to release it some how. Your not a crybaby and if it makes you feel better than more power to you. If you ever need someone to talk to im on AIM or MSN messenger as much as I can be so don't be a stranger.

Well, I don't think you're being selfish at all by crying. Sometimes you just need to let that out so don't think you're a cry baby. It's ok to cry when it gets to you. You have the right too! I hope this helps to make you feel better.

awee im soo sorry.. and no way!! its okay to cry sometimes but maybe you should talk to an adult about it.. i know theres not much any one can do right now but i'm sure you could be comforted! i know its gotta be hard but you just gotta live through the difficult times!! - thats good you go to rehab in a few days.. maybe they'll help you out and you'll be able to walk again or at least get better! as for sports- i know if you get into basktebal theres a kind that you could play.. just talk to your gym coach or w/e!
