camp I have been told that I am a very gifted actress, and my drama teacher said that I should get into theatre camp, but I live with my dad, and money is tight. I really want to go to theatre camp, but all the places I looked at are day camps that cost way too much money. (my dad has a tough job and cant drive me to and from camp so it would have to be an overnight camp) any ideas what I should do?
HELP ME!!!

Once you have saved money or gotten a scholarship, talk to the camp. Maybe there is someone you can share a ride with for a small fee or trade for some chores. ]
If your acting talent is really advanced there are a lot of charitable corporations that might sponsor you. Ask your guidance counsellor at school or even your drama teacher for help finding one.
Also, contact the camp and explain to them about your financial situation and they will certainly try to work something out. ]
Depending on your age, you can get a job and help out, or arrange allowance. MAybe you could pay half and your dad could pay the other half! ]
Lots of camps offer financial aid. Try looking up theatre camps on Google.com. If you are really determined to act, they will give you financial aid. ]
Often camps will provide scholorship oppertunitys that you can get the camp paid for with. As for a ride do any of your friends have cars, if so ask them to take you a good friend would be willing 2 help u out

I think that you should get a job or offer to help around. Do you have neighbors that need yard work or need their pets taken care of? Or are there nearby stores that you could work at? try to find a job that you will enjoy and at the same time will earn you enough money to go to camp. As far as getting there, as your neighbors. If you do all that work for them, they can't help but say okay.
I realllly hope you get to theatre camp!! Good luck!! and if you get there, HAVE FUN!! ]
Look into scholerships like someone else said. Also if you have time get a part time job and start saving. Maybe if you can fund part of it your dad will fund the rest. ]
You should look into scholarships that some of these camps give out. Research all the camps and maybe you will find one. GOOD LUCK! ]
I have the same problem with singing camp. you should get a job that pays about 50 a week like waitressing or just do a lot of babysitting. Some camps only cost about 100 so if you just work for a month, u could seriosly get some realy cash. Don't spend it on anything else though

A lot of performing arts camps offer scholarships to kids who need financial assistance. Most of these camps have websites, and you should be able to find out there if financial aid is available. You should get right on that, though, because the deadlines may be coming up.
If you can't get a scholarship through the camp, organizations in your community may offer something. Ask your drama teacher, or your school guidance counselor, and see if they have any tips.
Depending how old you are, you might also be able to raise some money by getting a job for after school, and for the part of the summer that you wouldn't be at camp. I doubt you'd be able to pay for the whole thing yourself, but you could probably make a bit of a dent. ]
