Go for it, I dislike Spanish... I quit, if you rather do something else that you enjoy good, go for it... you can always go back to Spanish latter… in college if need be…

I before E, except after C, or when sounding as "ay" as in neighbor or weigh. Hmmm, let's see.
TecHnically, I would advise you against it. I can understand a few typos ( some, I make myself ). But for you to write this and then boast that you need no help in the homeowrk fIEld frightens me. And then to fathom "persuiting" a carrer in movies? I may be wrong, but I think you meant to write PURSUING a carEEr in movies.
Honestly, I'm not saying your not the foremost thespian in your school ( la escuela, for those who dropped spanish ), but, if you do seriously plan to pursue such a career. Take your time, become as diverse as possible. Take anything that may be of help ( clase' de espanol ), and that can only serve to benefit you when you ARE ready to grace the silver screen. Break a leg.

Celena answered Thursday December 4 2003, 1:18 pm:
Alrighty, babe. You may think you need no help in whatever this hmwrk field you're jabbering about is, however in todays job market you're more likely to end up flipping burgers at Joe's Grub Shack than you are making movies with that attitude (and that spelling!). To be in movies takes more than a pretty face and a flippant attitude. Granted, a lot of the stars you see on TV aren't the shiniest pennies in the roll, possibly in the whole bank, but it takes time, effort and determination to get yourself under the eyes of the agents and publicists who are putting people on television and in the movies. Personally, I think you should pay more attention in English class, but your lack of propers spelling and capitalizion are probably not helping your Spanish work either. Personally, I think you need to let your ego drop some, and stop counting chickens. Somewhere along the way you are going to have to support yourself before you make plans to crash down on Hollywood in a blaze of glory. And in order to keep yourself alive, healty and supported in the meantime you are going to have to find an alternate job. The current job market is harsh enough on people who graduate with bachelors degrees. Much more so on people who drop their acedemic goals with the intent of seeing their name in lights.

Focus more on your school work and less on your designer jeans. It will get you farther in the end.

I think this is a little something you need to talk over with your parents. If people in hollywood accept your aplication I think thats great. BUT an education is always better. Try finishing school and then take up acting. So if that doesnt work out you'll always have backup.COLLEGE!!!

That depends on you, not what we think. Are you really interested in Movies? Go for it! Do what your heart tell you to do.

Well, if you're good enough, go for it! But if you're so-so, don't try. Spanish will be much more useful in your life.

I think pursuing a career in movies would be exciting. HOWEVER, I do NOT think you should drop Spanish. Movies are really, really hard to get into and you'll need some non-movie-related classes before you get your big break.

Break a leg, hope to see you on the silver screen someday!

Dear Classroom,
If it is what you really want to do, I would follow your dreams. Were you good at Spanish? If you were good, I would consider going back, but if not, good luck in show buisiness!

Turc answered Monday December 1 2003, 1:40 pm:
If you're good at Spanish, stick with it, because having knowledge of Spanish will help you in almost any career INCLUDING acting. If you stink at it (like me, heh), play to your strengths and go for drama classes.

Good luck!
