This is not a hard computer question so don't get scared away - on my laptop, when I leave or go somewhere I wanna leave AIM up and stuff. To do this I have to leave my laptop open but my dad wants me to close the lid because it's healthier for the computer or something. When I do that, it logs me off (which I don't care about) but it also shuts off AIM. Is there anyway to adjust anything on the computer so that AIM will stay on when I shut the lid? Thanks.

i like my nieghbor chris...but im not really sure? i mean....i love him soo much but i feel nervouse to do anything because im not sure if he likes me back..he said to my stept bro (hes my stept bros friend..and im friends with chris's sis whos a year yunger than me [im not using chris's sis mckenzie though]) that he doesnt want a girlfriend...but he said he doesnt want to say he likes me. one tiime (a week ago) we played truth or dare (t.o.d) and they dared me to kiss him.... before i go anyfurther, may i mention i have never kissed anybody in my life before him.....

I used to go out with this guy named Josh. I loved him so much, & when he broke up with me -- I thought EVERYTHING would change. & I never thought I'd find myself in this position.
But now I met this new guy named Ralph, and whenever we go out on dates, or if we just talk on the phone, I always unfortunetly find myself comparing Josh to him. & How great Josh was, and the little things he did that Ralph doesn't do.
I don't want to do that anymore & it's really getting on my nerves. I won't be going back out with Josh again, but I can't help but think about how perfect he treated me, and then I just compare which really sucks.
Is it wrong to compare?
Does anyone else do it? ...

just looking for tips

i'm a sophmore and i'm probably transferring schools next year. but, this year, i have to go to the open house/take enterence exam, etc. but, the thing is, it's the rivalry school of the school i am in now..... i don' t think the people in the other school are as mean or will treat me bad because of it. but, this is my oppertunity to start over. and everyone will know me because they are both private schools. but, i'm just looking for tips to make new friends and fit in and stuff
any ideas?

I'm scared that my Best friend doesn't like me anymore. We're both 13 years old. She never calls me any more and when I asked her about it, she said that I don't have to worry about it. She said that we would hang out a lot over the summer, but I've only seen her a few times. I think that she's busy, but I dont know. What should I do? I really want to stay friends with her.

i don't like health food. i want to be healthier but im more into snacks. i don't eat them all the time though. i went on a diet for the past week and my weight stayed the same. also i exersize at a fitness gym too. what my question is, is what foods would help me and what kinds of workouts should i do or some type of schedual should i have. thanks.

ive kissed/made out before, but when frenching, it says you have to swallow because spit builds up.
so like how do you swallow, because when you swallow you normally have to close your mouth, right?

Okay, theres this guy, that i talk to on myspace, and we go to school togeather, and i talk to him there to.
ANYWAY, whenever we talk, we always end up "fighting" but its SOOOO fun to fight with him, and i just love annoying him, and he's the same way with me.
My friends say that this is flirting, but i dont see how it is. Cause were just pretty much arguing...
Anyway, I really like him, and i'm not so sure if he likes me, but he can be a real jerk.
So, the quistion is, should i go after him, even though he seems to only like to use me to argue with?

OK, well, I've always had a problem getting soft contacts in...i could put the hard ones in because they're small...since i want to get day and night contacts and i want to get contacts im sick of glasses//taking them in and out every day does anyone have any like techniques for putting them in? thank you!

lately ive just been so FED UP with my appearance i hate looking in the mirror because its not what i want to see =( everyone else is so much prettier than me or thats what i think. my hair bugs me it never stays right i wish i was tanner i wish i was everything else..
i know im not DEPRESSED or i dont think so but maybe just jealous of every other girl. and i really like this kid but he has a girlfriend and it kills me everytime i hear her name because i know that i cant have him
also my parents have been telling me that i need to go do other things rather than come home go on the computer go to my cousins (my best friends house) and then when i get home get back on the computer! they are telling me i need to ...

I had two assignments for the subject. For one of them, I recieved a Credit which is 60 - 70 marks. That assignment was worth 30 %. For the next assignment, I recieved a Distinction which is 70 - 80 (or 85) which was worth 70 %. What did I get out of 100? The reason I ask is because they say that I should only get a Credit overall for the subject and I'm just wondering if this is right??

minor muscle pain

Some nights i get these straining feelings in my calves anyway i get them every once in a while like if i work out that day and i didnt stretch enough...but i havent worked out in like a week and i have been getting them a lot more than usual...they really hurt...it feels like someone is trying to pull my muscle out, i have to stand on my leg squeeze my calf hard before it stops. there is an after ache and it lasts days later....does anyone know what this pain is, how it is caused and how to prevent or minimize it?thanx!

im 16f and all my friends go out with lads...but i seem the only one not 2...i havent had my first kiss yet and that makes me feel more down and like that no one would ever want me (yes i no its sounds stupid but thats how i feel) i talk to lads but they dont seem interested or anyone who does like me are ugly and i dont like them or there too young...
is there a way too make lads like me or talk to me more often so they start to like me ?

Hey I am going threw a horrible brake up and I had this dream. I believe that dreams mean alot. I always have a dream that hints to whats going to happen, but I cant figure this one out.
In the dream I was listen to my brother and x talking on the phone, I was using the phone in my room and my brother was in his.
