hard getting into relationships with guys.

Question Posted Tuesday July 18 2006, 12:10 pm

I used to go out with this guy named Josh. I loved him so much, & when he broke up with me -- I thought EVERYTHING would change. & I never thought I'd find myself in this position.

But now I met this new guy named Ralph, and whenever we go out on dates, or if we just talk on the phone, I always unfortunetly find myself comparing Josh to him. & How great Josh was, and the little things he did that Ralph doesn't do.

I don't want to do that anymore & it's really getting on my nerves. I won't be going back out with Josh again, but I can't help but think about how perfect he treated me, and then I just compare which really sucks.

Is it wrong to compare?
Does anyone else do it? I don't want to feel like soo horrible about it, but I just think I'm trying to get over Josh.

Thanksss.

no;it's not wrong at all.
i've been comparing a guy i'm going out with to one of my exes for the past week.
the problem is,it fills you with doubt, and makes you miserable.
just start trying to focus on all the stuff he DOES do for you, instead of what he doesn't do.
and if it isnt working out, don't drag it on,it'll just make it worse.
hope i helped.:]

its pretty natrual to compare it is just because maybe you just can't stop remebering all teh good times but if you guys broke up that means there is someone way better out there just waiting to be found eventually you will slow down on the comparing just don't worry about it I know many people who do that too

No, It is not wrong to compare boyfriends. I do it all the time with mine. When you were treated so good by your past boyfriend you expect your recent ones to do the same. Its just like he has spoiled you. Hope I have helped. :]

that's pretty normal. a lot of my friends that had multiple bfs, find themselves doing that, even if they only had a crush on them. i think it's natural to do that. you juss have to realize that josh & ralph aren't the same person & they won't act the same. don't try to turn ralph into josh, ya know?? you shouldn't feel horrible about it because a lot of people have that problem. stay focused on ralph. like you said, you aren't going to date josh so you should try to move on. plus, ralph might have different characteristics that you like that josh doesn't have. juss wait & see how you feel. if it gets worse, you should probably talk to ralph about it.

-hope that helped!♥
