minor muscle pain

Some nights i get these straining feelings in my calves anyway i get them every once in a while like if i work out that day and i didnt stretch enough...but i havent worked out in like a week and i have been getting them a lot more than usual...they really hurt...it feels like someone is trying to pull my muscle out, i have to stand on my leg squeeze my calf hard before it stops. there is an after ache and it lasts days later....does anyone know what this pain is, how it is caused and how to prevent or minimize it?thanx!

No worries!
If your muscles havent been used to much, then they need time to get back into routine.
So give it some time . If that doesnt work , then you may have strained or pulled a muscle.
But the best thing to do is maybe soak it in hot water to loosen the muscle.

Try to work out more regularly, like on a daily or weekly basis. And make sure to stretch really well before you start.

There are many different causes for muscle pain, so with just one symptom its heard to pinpoint one cause. I would talk to your mom or dad or whoever about it, just tell them its hurting. They might know something. Wait another week. If its still hurting, I would book an appointment with a doctor.
