Ok here goes im 17 theres this guy that i dated awhile ago and i cant seem to get over him and we always end up goin back to each other to mess around n stuff but i want more than that and i finally told him how i felt and he said that he wanted to be single for the rest of the summer because he has a bet with his dad which he does because i talked to his father... (im really close wit his fam) and he said that we will decided what we are gonna do when school starts again but im sick of waiting im scared that hes not gonna wanna get back with me... he says he does but i dont believe him... ive waited around soo long and i dont kno what to to help

Mp4 player downloading music

Ok, well I just got a new mp4 player that is LIKE an Ipod nano, but not actually an ipod, but I want to download music that I already have on iTunes. The user manual I got with it doesn't explain it at all, and I can't figure out how to put music on it. It's called an iNova. If anyone can tell me how to download music onto it, that'd be awesome, thanks!

Stolen camera?

I think one of my friends might have stolen my camera when she visited us on vacation. I asked her to put it in her purse, because I didn't have mine with me. She has already gone back, but the last thing I remember was giving her my camera. I called her, and have been harrasing her, even trying to guilt her about it. I even went to the store we went into that day, but NO ONE has seen it. What should I do? It's been about a month, and my parents won't let me get another one because its my fault its gone.

feeling self consious

i dont know if i put this under the right category or not..but..my friend from school is having a little going away party for her..and theres gonna be guys and stuff and i just got the invite and it says, "COME READY TO SWIM" and the last party we had for the end of the year party..i didnt go to becuz i was self concious..now im 115 pounds and im 5'3 but i still feel like im wide and from the front i have all that lower tummy fat..and like everyone of my friends are skinnier than me and i just cant go to swimming parties cuz im always so down on myself! i dont know what to do! all answers are appreciated! thanks!

How come my column is not showing up?

I recently got onto advicenators today, and my account is not showing up under "SEARCH COLUMNISTS" and then "NEWEST". Because of this, I only answered one question to a person who put it on a public forum type thing like this. I really want to help. My column is AskGenevieve.

If there is such thing as reusable pads and they are suppposed to be so comfortable, why don't that many people use them, or at least I dont hear of very many. I want to know because I was thinking of buying them, but I want to know why most people don't use them.

I don't understand where the hymen is in the body. How does it not pop everytime you put in a tampon, like how is that different from a guy putting his penis in you? Is the hymen in your uterus? I'm so confused, can someone give me a link to a diagram or something? Thanks, 13/Female.

Itching

I was wondering, what are some of the reasons why I am itchy 'down there'. It started being itchy about a week or so ago, and I don't know why. It's off and on and I should be getting my period sometime this/next week. Don't suggest going to the doctors or to my mom because those aren't options for me, I want to know what it could be. I'm 13 and obviously female and this afternoon I started getting cramps. At first I thought it was just a stomach ache and maybe I ate too much, but it felt kind of different. My mom suggested that I was going to get my period soon, and I already had boobs, hair on my body, and discharge. 3 hours later, when I went to the bathroom I noticed a big dried up brownish spot on my underwear. There wasn't alot of it but it wasn't liquid. Could this be my period? I don't know because people tell me the very first time you get your period you dont have cramps and you don't get cramps until like the 2nd or 3rd time. I didn't feel any blood coming out either. Not to gross you out, but in a way it looks like dried up poop but in a really light brown color.

Addicted to Gatorade

I'm kind of "addicted" to Gatorade. Everytime we go to the store, I buy it. And, instead of buying cokes to keep around the house like I use to, I now buy Gatorade.. and drink atleast 1 a day. Ok, my question is.. Is Gatorade bad for you? And is drinking this much harmful? Should I cut down on any/all/how much?

I am just going to start taking birth control and I am sexually active, i know that i have to go to the gyno and I recall hearing my doctor say something about what week of the month it would be best to go..it was somtime like after my period, but i just don't remember...do you know?

help i need pads

my mom is sooo annoing with puberty and stuff. she acts all embarresed when i talk about it (which i hardly ever do cause since her behavior it makes me humiliated) and she reminds me of a 3 year old. I told her i had my period and she's like ok put a pad on and then for the last 2 days she has been acting all weird to me. We had like 3 pads left when i first got my first period and that was 2 days ago and i still have my period. So right now i'm on my last pad and i've been wearing it all day cause i'm way to embarresed to ask my mom if she can buy more cause then it will be awkward and the awkwardness is just beginning to wear off from when i told her i got my period. and also i'm extremely embarresed to go to the store and buy pads mysel...
