If there is such thing as reusable pads and they are suppposed to be so comfortable, why don't that many people use them, or at least I dont hear of very many. I want to know because I was thinking of buying them, but I want to know why most people don't use them.

Basically with the reusable pads once you change the pad, the old one is wrung-out, rinsed, and then washed in the washing machine on high-heat. So your hands do briefly come into contact with the blood.
Reusable pads are a LOT cheaper in the long-run since you only have to buy them once instead of once a month, and they are a lot better for the environment. Some people think it's gross to rinse menstrual blood out of reusable pads, well I think it's a lot less gross than the prospect of used disposable pads and tampons washing-up on a beach after having been dumped in the ocean!
To be honest, I don't know why more people don't use them! Menstrual blood is not dirty, and that's how women did things before the advent of disposables.
