I don't understand where the hymen is in the body. How does it not pop everytime you put in a tampon, like how is that different from a guy putting his penis in you? Is the hymen in your uterus? I'm so confused, can someone give me a link to a diagram or something? Thanks, 13/Female.

Everyone is different so the thickness of the Hymen changes. The penis ususally streachs the hymen because it is much wider than a tampon.

Some have it far enough down that putting in a tampon can break it and some have it so far up that it breaks when you have sex for the first time. The difference between putting in a tampon and having sex is that his penis is larger and goes farther up inside you. I hope that helps. [ ashlynn's advice column | Ask ashlynn A Question ]
