crunches

Posted Friday August 15 2008, 10:35 pm

i've recently started doing crunches every day [by recently i mean today being the 3rd day]. I do 50 crunches every morning and night, 20 without weights, 20 with two 3 lb weights, and then 10 without weights. I was wondering, if i continue to do this consistently, and occasionally add some push-ups or planks, how soon can I expect to see results, and what kind of results?

question for dancers

Posted Friday August 15 2008, 10:28 am

this is for dancers:
i have a lot of questions, so i'll just say them all and hopefully someone can answer all of them.
i can't seem to keep my left leg straight when i do left pique turns on pointe, what should ? i can do them fine slow, but when i have to go fast i get all messed up. any tips on getting better turning leaps? because i'm not very good at them. also, tips on having higher attitudes in front and back and tips on getting better switch leaps, because i couldn't do switch leaps if my life depended on it. also, how do you torres? my last question is, what are brushaes? i don't know how to spell them, but they are pronounced like broo-shays. i couldn't do them in ballet and i want to practice them but i forget how to do them. thanks!

I heard somewhere that you shouldn't do crunches or any other ab workout until you have burned off the layer of fat on your stomach. Is this true?

taking pictures in a bathing suit

Posted Tuesday August 12 2008, 4:24 pm

so im pretty skinny, not a twig but my stomach is flat for the most part. i see tons of people taking pictures in their bathing suits and the pictured come out fine, but when i do, i look fat, well not fat but like it looks like all loose skin which i dont have. idk if it has something to do with my chest, im a 34c and im 4'11" so it doesnt really fit on me haha but is there anything i can do to make my stomach look better?! its like the camera does add 10 pounds.

any tips?

Sweat and Hives

Posted Monday August 11 2008, 8:53 pm

I'm a 16 year old female and I'm new to the whole working-out thing. I've been doing pilates and running for the past year but I do it randomly, so it doesn't count much.

Whenever I sweat, I get hives on my knees, thighs, and arms. I do have a skin condition called "Eczema" but, as far as I know, that doesn't have much to do with hives. I'm allergic to peanut butter, cats and dogs, and that's about it. So why would sweat trigger hives on my skin?

Dance skills

Posted Sunday August 10 2008, 3:58 pm

this question is for anyone who is in high school and is a good committed dancer:
i LOVE to dance, but i'm not very good. (pointe, ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical) i'm not BAD, it's just that everyone else who's in high school is in the highest level and i'm in the 2nd to highest level with girls younger than me. everyone always thinks that i'm younger then i really am because i'm in that level. i try SO hard to get better and get into the highest level but every single time i try something in dance i get rejected, and i'm NOT even kidding. for example, like getting good parts in shows, and moving up in classes. i've never gotten what i wanted in dance, yet i still do it because i love it so much. so i was just wondering, is there anything i ...

loose weight

Posted Saturday August 9 2008, 9:43 pm

I'm 17 F/145lbs.
I'm not fat, I'm pretty strong for a girl, so muscle weighs more then fat. But I do have the "lower tummy fat" and would like to get rid of it. How?
Regular crunches aren't working. What are some ways to get that lower fat gone.
Ab things I could do in my room?
If you lost a bunch of weight, how did you do it. My stomach is for the most part, flat, but that little fat area, I would want that to be gone.
Also my hips are kinda big I think its fat, how can I make that gone too?

I'll be going on a diet with my boyfriend here next month, and until then we are running about everyday, and riding bikes. thanks
