I'm 17 F/145lbs.
I'm not fat, I'm pretty strong for a girl, so muscle weighs more then fat. But I do have the "lower tummy fat" and would like to get rid of it. How?
Regular crunches aren't working. What are some ways to get that lower fat gone.
Ab things I could do in my room?
If you lost a bunch of weight, how did you do it. My stomach is for the most part, flat, but that little fat area, I would want that to be gone.
Also my hips are kinda big I think its fat, how can I make that gone too?
I'll be going on a diet with my boyfriend here next month, and until then we are running about everyday, and riding bikes. thanks
The answer to your question is (unfortunately) very simple. You can only do it by lowering your overall body fat percentage. Genetics will determine if one area is emphasised over another.
To promote sustainable weight loss you need a good balanced diet that is a few hundred calories a day less than you burn. Starting by eliminating all the "crap" is a good idea (i.e. things with sugar added, things with significant amounts of saturated fats, processed foods, etc.).
Exercise of all sorts is great, but cardio is the most important. So, what you are doing with the running and biking is very, very good. If you want to incorporate other exercises, dont just focus on the abs. For best results try to work as many muscle groups as possible.
ashmoe2 answered Saturday August 9 2008, 11:15 pm: ok well for your abs i do this awesome workout.You take a chair and sit sidways on it so your side is facing the backing of the chair. get something or some one to hold down your feet. i usually tuck my toes underneath a door or dresser. Lean back about 3/4 of the way down and come back up. as you do that try to use your stomach muscles to pull u up....not your back. for your legs i have the same problem so i don't know about that. i've tried everything [ ashmoe2's advice column | Ask ashmoe2 A Question ]
