Okay, i'm trying this new thing were everyday i think of the good qualities of myself. And it seems to be working, i am more confident in everything! So then everything is great, until i get to school. I Love my friends. But all they do is put themselves down! One of my friends the other day, all she said almost all day was "Im Fat. I need to lose weight." and i kept telling her she doesnt. But when she keeps saying it, i feel the need to put myself down aswell, like say, "No your not, i am". And i want to be able to stop doing that. I dont know if this question makes much sence, but i tried. What im bascially saying is, How can i get myself to stop putting myself down infront of friends who put themselfs down.

A moisturizer with SPF that isn’t greasy or heavy (WON’T CAUSE ME TO BREAK OUT!) and can be found at stores like Target, Fred Meyer, etc. It can’t clog pores
Hopefully one that would give me a glow/bright look….

So tomorrow is the last time I'll see this guy I like cause its summer vacation right, and we just go in for a quick second.
I've been crushing on this guy for a long time now but we've never really had a long conversation or talked to eachother, outside from the classroom work I guess. But I always catch him looking at me -especially at the last school dance, then there was that one time he sat behind me during a presentation and he kept nudging me in the back.
Whatever, I figure "hey why not? If its a yes, then BOOYAH, if its a no then you have 2 months to get over him" sorta thing.

New Hairstyle

I'm 14/F and chinese. I don't have the straight black hair. After showers, I love my hair. It's curly and very pretty. When it dries up...its like a sponge...it's all dried up and huge! Normally I just put it in a ponytail...that's all I can do! I have bangs which are to my chin...Not a lot of bangs but med. amounts of hair...if you understand. When I straighten my hair...it's still kind of big but not as big so I tend to put it in a half pony tail.
My question is...what can I do to my hair?

i'm pretty good, except for one little thing
little bit of backstory here:
a couple of years ago *two, to be exact* i volunteered at a camp so i could get my 20 service hours for 8th grade *i ended up with like...100*. well i met this girl that was also volunteering there, and we became friends over the summer, and did some things as friends with a group until around christmas. then we sort of just stopped talking- we weren't mad at each other, we just became really really busy. so i saw her at random places throughout the last year and a half or so, but never really talked to her a whole lot

basically i suck at holding a conversation. whenever i talk to someone, i come up short for things to talk about. and when i do talk, its usually about something boring lol. so what im asking is for advice on how to create conversation and keep it going so im not boring. thank you!

Make-Up Questions

Hey, I'm 14/F and I'm Asian. I want to look good when school starts so I want to begin with a new style kind of. Something refreshed!
I do put on make-up but not a lot. I have small slitty eyes an on the eye lid (it's very small), I put some dark colored eye shadow and my friends love it. It's simple. However, I want something a little different. Something that will make me look a litlte older. Also, get me ready for the homecoming.
I once in a while put mascara but it never turns out good. I have small lashes and no one can hardly see it! I'm too naive to put on eye liner. What do I really do? Also, what kind of color blush should I put on or should I not use it? Lipstick color? Thanks for all the help!

ughh i want to get my nose pierced sooo bad. ill be 17 in like 2 months and i wanna get it done for my birthday, but my mom is sooo against the idea. i told her i just want a tiny little pink stud. she just thinks its horrible. its just nose its not like i want a tongue piercing or anything! how can i convince her? thanks!!

ok well in one of my classes there was this cute guy well i kinda liked him but whenever i did he had a girlfriend then he didnt but then i started talking to a guy i had liked for a year and a half but that didnt work. then at the end of skool i kinda liked the guy in my class again but my teacher wanted to set him up with my friend and she had just got rejected by her guy. i am all like ok whatever i will let her have him but then my other friend got involved and started talking to the guy from my class and then she started liking him and he started liking her...so my two friends didnt talk for a while because one was hurt...well then i am trying to get over that guy i have liked for a year and a half so the friend that got hurt tried set...

Breasts/Period

So I want my boobs to get bigger but I'm really small and I've read that one way to make them bigger is weight gain but I've tried to gain weigth and it doesn't work at all. My dads side of the family are late bloomers, and are tiny but I'm still afraid that I will be very very small chested when I'm older even though my mom isn't. I'm 15 too and haven't started my period I mean I have pubic hair and I discharge but haven't started it's a little embarrasing!

well before my and bf started going out he was about to go out with this other girl. but we ended up being together anyways. one time i got on my bf's myspace and i was 1st on his top but then the other girl was 2nd. i shrugged it off. now i just added that girl as my friend on myspace and her name is 'summer_love' and everything on her page is about love love love and guess who 1st on her tops? yes, my bf. i dunno if i'm just paranoid or something's up. any advice?

Okay, so i really really want to learn to play guitar. Could someone give me as much info as possible to get me started? Like, what do i look for when buying a guitar? and how much are they usually? How should i go about learning? My family doesn't have a whole lot of money, so i'm not sure that i could do expensive lessons. I just need something to get me going. would a book be able to help me? if so, which one?
