Well, umm you can talk about things you both like. You can make things exciting. Tell jokes. Tell them what you saw on t.v or anything, don't just THINK of what to say. Just say what you feel at that moment. Hope I helped.

talk about stuff you like, see if they're interested. then they'll talk about stuff they like. & bam, conversation.

sometimes it's the person.
either they just suck.
or you have nothing in common, so the conversation would be awkwardly silent. :)

Let the oter person keep the conversation going. Ask and open ended question and let the person answer. For example: "Who is your favorite presidental canindate and why?" I doubt you'll ask that, but it's just an exmaple =]. That way they can keep talking and in turn they'll probably ask you questions.

Talk about:
- Music.
- Sports.
- Movies.
- School.
- Friends.
- Family.
- TV.
- Life.
- Personal Interests.

There's a lot of things to talk about with each of those subjects, so there'll never not be anything to talk about.

There are several things you can do to strike up a decent conversatiion and even more so, to keep one going and interesting. Starting with small talk/chit chat is good at first. When you are conversing with someone, try:
- telling them a fun story about an experience you've had
-find something you may have in common and branch off from there
-food is always a good tangent to go off on
-anything about pop culture
-ask lots of questions.(don't be intrusive, rather, curious/interested)
-listen (that is probably one of the most important elements)
-try not to think about it too much, just like it flow.

:)
