periods.

Question Posted Thursday June 28 2007, 11:06 pm

Is it 100% true that your period stops in water? Or is it just a myth? I'm afraid to take any chances... =/

It's a myth, but you can go swimming w/o a tampon- I have done it on the 2nd day of my period& no one notices it because it normally doesn't start back up for about 10-15 minutes. :)

but you can use a tampon or do that, I can't put tampons in(because it hurts) so I have done that& you won't noice the blood.

i agree with the person below.
it is a complete lie.

the water will stop it a little bit, so you could go swimming without a tampon on the last day of your period when it is really light, but anytime before that and you're going to get blood everywhere. Using pads in the water does not work either.

Use a tampon. Trust me they make life easier. I was scared at first to use them, but once i did I was amazed at how much easier having my period was. Now, with tamposn its no big deal and I feel a lot better cuz i dont have ot worry about leaks.

Go with a tampon or dont go in the water at all. You dont want an accident or to get embarred do you?!

Myth!!!! Even if it were true, which it isn't, the second you come out of the water you're going to start bleeding.

Most people think it's true because they think that water pressure stops your period - but whether or not it does, like I said before, you'd start bleeding DIRECTLY after getting out of the water. (I'm assuming you want to go swimming or something of the such?)

But please trust me on this one MYTH MYTH MYTH MYTH MYTH!!!
