i got my period when i was 11. i'm 17 now and just barely 5'4", do you think i'm done growing?

I'm 16 and 5'3 and 3/4. I've been in the 5'3" range since I was 11. I guess I started puberty early, because I got my period a week after my 10th birthday. I dont remember how tall I was then, but in 2nd grade I was 4'8". In second grade I was also size 8 shoe. Now I am a size 10 shoe.. which is weird seeing as I'm pretty short, and people with those size shoes as girls are almost 6 feet tall.
I really want to grow taller.. is it going to happen since feet grow before the rest of your body? I play volleyball and even though I have good hops, I won't be able to go far with it competing for a spot on a team with taller girls who will reach the top of the net faster since they are closer to the top of it. So I weigh around 110 and I'm 5'5.
I'm not fat and I know that, but just my stomach bugs me. So I just want to be healthy and find someway to lose most of my stomach.
I know I should eat healthy. I just don't want to have to do the whole counting calorie stuff. What kinds of food should I stay by and what foods should I stay away from? Also, what snacks are better to eat? And exercises? Thanks!

so lately i've been excercising 15-20 minutes of jogging and i eating more healthier and smaller portions. it's only been a few days so i have't seen much results but i was wondering ever since i'v been eating smaller portions i've been hungrier like every hour so i munch on stuff each hour or have little healthy snacks or small meal is that ok if i want to loose weight? i think its my matabolism has been up the roof everytime i eat something healthy i get hungry then next 2 hours or hour and then i eat small portions again. thats ok not fattening right?

Hi,
So I've been in university since September, and I gained about 8-10 lbs, I'm at about 135-138 lbs now.
ANYWAYS, the food in university is too tempting, all the pasta and carby goodness. I'm thinking about just eating salads, fruit/yogurt, cereal, sushi and peanut butter/jam english muffins for the rest of my school year (obviously not in the same day). There really isn't any meat, unless it's fried chicken or inside the pasta. Please do not suggest to me that I buy food from a grocery store because I have no refrigerator/freezer.
So yeah, I want to get down to 125lbs by the end of April or mid-May, & hopefully a size 4-6. Since my schedule is pretty great compared to others, I'm thinking of exerc...

i am having a really hard time with weight. im overweight i need to do something about it for my health! i just dont know where to start. i stopped eating for a bit but was getting bad shakes and hunger pains. i know its wrong but i dont know what else to do please help!! i have been exersising tons i just need help with eating! i need to get fit and healthy! help please thanks.

Here's my info.
I am 14,5'6", about 115 pounds. As you will probably say, I'm not fat. And I know that. I'm actually on the skinny side.
My goal is to BE skinny. Especially in the leg area. That's basically the only body part that I'm not happy with. My thighs and calves. They're definitely not fat, but I want them to be skinny.
I want to thin out my legs without gaining too much muscle. So basically, I don't want them to be stronger (which will make them look thicker, which is the opposite of what I want), but to look thinner.
But my problem is my eating habit. I have a MAJOR sweet tooth. I can't control myself when it comes to food. But I've been wanting to fix that. I'm trying to eat less junk and...

my friend said something the other day about her thighs not touching, and she seemed kind of annoyed by it, i guess? anyways, ever since she told me this, i can't help but notice that all of the girls i go to school with, all of my friends, my family members, etc, all of their thighs touch. in case you don't know what i mean, when you stand up and put your feet together, your thighs touch at some point below your crotch. mine don't. i'm pretty skinny, and that might have something to do with it, but i've seen people skinnier than me and their thighs touch. and i just can't help but feel that i must have chicken legs or something and i feel incredibly self concious. are there any exercises i could do to make my thighs more...muscle-y, i gues...

Im not overweight but i'd like to lose a few pounds and tone up before summer and graduation. i live in a small town so a gym is out of the question. Im gonna cut in half what i eat everyday and cut out sodas and stuff but i have no idea what to do about getting toned? I live by water so its SUPER cold right now. any advice?

sorry this is so long and whiney...
I am a 16 year old girl, i'm a 4'11 and i weigh about 125lbs. I feel like my weight rules my life, i think about my weight constantly. I want nothing more than to be thin, i'm so self-concious about my body and i really think that being thin would make me so much happier. Sometimes i feel pretty depressed but i dont take meds or anything like that and i cut myself sometimes. Sometimes after trying so many outfits on i just start to cry because i can't stand to look at myself. When I look at my body naked in the mirror I hate myself. My parents and my two brothers are all great athletes and are very thin and fit. My one brother struggled with his weight when he was younger but is now so fit...

Ok I am working out, but I am doing things differently this time, this time I am weight training and doing cardio. So here is what's going on, for like the past month and a 1/2...I've been like this, Lose 5 lbs, gain 3, lose 6 gain 2, lose 2 gain 4...so Like I'll look at the scale and at the begining of the week I'll be 215 and by the end of the week I'll be 210 and then i'll be back up to 212 and then i'll be at 209 and then back up to 212 and then 210 and then 214 and I can't seem to get it to go down and stay down. So I don't know what to do, I don't know if it's reading my muscle gain and then maybe inbetween the time i'm doing cardio it's reading my cardio loss? Does this make sense? I was wondering if I just need to tough it out or if...

I just had a baby, and over my pregnancy my thighs got huge! Now that I've had the baby, I've lost very little thigh weight. What are some ways that I can slim down my thighs? And how long/many do you have to do, etc?

Hello im 18/f i want to start working out and eating healthier. The thing is i cant find motivation to work out! I keep saying im going to but i dont want to, and i know i need to. I cant set any goals because i dont care to meet them but i really do want to work out just need the extra push i guess. The main thing i want to do it tone my legs and my stomach a little bit. Im 5'6 and 140lbs. Im not fat i just want to tone up and become healthier. I noticed im getting cellulite on my legs. Also stretch marks are a problem for me i was in cheerleading and i worked out so much i got massive stretch marks on my thighs. Is there any way to prevent that. Any certain excercises you would recommend?

18/f. I'm a runner, I play tennis, and I'm at a normal weight for my height. But when I wear a bikini, it seems like my ass hangs out everywhere (even though I don't have much ass to begin with). It seems like squats and lunges haven't done a whole lot to tone up my posterior. So, if you've ever been in my position, what has worked for you? I'm looking for exercises that work... or if you can recommend a swimsuit that is cute and would actually cover my ass then that would be great too.

so i'm trying to loose weight and i've bee using these dieting pills that were recommended tro me by my aunt. i'v been taking them around 6pm at night right after of before i excercise and then i noticed that on the bottle for the pills it says you should take it before breakfast but i always forget because in the mornings it's a real rush for me. so i was wondering if it really matteerd when i took them? and does it still have the effect if i take them at 6pm when i come home from work?

Hey i am 18 and i am looking for a good workout program. I was wondering if you could give me advice on a decent workout timetable. like do this for this long and so on. I want to work my arms and where my six pack should be(lol)

i started a routine will this work to getting the slim figure i want?
-healthy cereal for breakfast
-small meal for lunch(ham sandwich)
-a fruit (apple)
-20-30 mins of excercising
-and a small dinner
not eating any junk food or chocolate or anything like that and only drinkin water?

Weight training to lose weight Posted Wednesday December 16 2009, 11:01 am
I have some concerns and I just want someone to maybe help me ease them. This is the first time I am weight training to lose weight, and I am just concerned that since I am not doing as much cardio and since muscle weights more than fat that it's going to be hard for me to tell if I am getting results. I heard from the trainers that if I do a good solid weight training for 30 min of almost non stop weight training that I will lose about 500 calories per session and that those calories will continue to burn over the next day or two, where as with cardio that wont happen, as soon as I stop it's done. Now I am definately sweating way more than when I just do cardio and I can really feel my body working, but how am I going to be able to tell if...
