Why do you have to go to the gynecologist once you've had sex?

Why do you have to go to the gynecologist once you've become sexually active?
I'm very curious. I've read everywhere online about the gynecologist and when you should go, and it says once you become sexually active you should go see the doctor each year (even if you're under 18). Why? I thought you only have to go if you're having problems or something.
Please help! I'm getting confused.

What can I bring on an airplane? (traveling overseas)

I'm going to be flying overseas soon and I was wondering about the things I can take on the airplane. I know there are strict carry-on policies now and I don't want to be embarrassed.
Can someone direct me to a site that shows me what is acceptable as carry-on material when flying?
Specifically, can someone tell me if these (below) are acceptable to carry on?:
-Nintendo DS Lite
-Nintendo DS charger
-A couple of Nintendo DS games (Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Kirby Super Star Ultra, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Mario Party)
-battery charger
-digital camera
-adapter
-8GB iPod Touch

Is it inappropriate for my girlfriend to be tickling my best friend?

My girlfriend of 6 months just recently started tickling my best friend and acting goofy around him. We love each other and I don't think she would ever cheat on me, but I think she's doing it for my attention as I talk to her friends sometimes but never physically touch them. It just makes me uneasy seeing my girlfriend giggling with my best friend, but I don't want to act jealous because I don't want to start any drama as she probably doesn't mean anything by it...
How should I handle the situation (because this is making me really uncomfortable)?

Are white people dirty?

I was out with some of my best friends yesterday. Some of my friends are black and others are Mexican (yes, from Mexico) and I am white. I'm the only white girl of the group.
Anyway, we were walking and talking and the racial subjects came up because I said this guy that passed us was really hot (and he was white). They were like, "Ewww...gross!" and so I asked them why they thought he was not hot.
All of them agreed that "my" race was nasty. They said that white people are dirty. I shrugged it off (though I was offended) in the end but then I got to thinking...
Do you think my friends think I'm dirty?
Why would they think that Caucasians are dirty people anyway?...

Crazy question

I come from a very boring town that has no clubs but tons of bars and restaurants. People ages from 18-21 get bored, what are we suppose to do? This area, believe it or not, has about 140,000 people and no clubs. Who would I contact in order to see if this has been or could be a consideration?

I'm 16 years old and I have a boyfriend. We have been going out for 7 months. I also have a best guy friend. He doesn't live near me anymore because he moved. But he recently told me he loves me and has always wanted to go out with me but couldn't. He has also told me that he is very depressed because a lot of bad things has happened to him. He is suicidal. I have been trying so hard to help him get better but he still cuts himself and suicidal... One time I was really desperate to help him, so I flirted back with him and told him I loved him. I don't know if that was a good idea because I'm not sure it's love but I didn't want to see him get hurt. Now when I'm flirting with him, he seems happier. But I don't know what to do. I haven't told...

I feel like I constantly eat. All day everyday. and I always feel hungry or when im bored Ill eat. I can see the how much my body has changed in the last couple months, and my body discusts me! I want to stop eating so much. I dont eat breakfast (no time to) at lunch i always get nachos a milk and a cookie. Then when I get home from track practice i eat like a ham sandwhich, usually a poptart and lately Ive been drinking diet soda instead of my usual water. How do I get that feeling or always being hungry to go away, I just eat way too much. Thanks

So there is this guy I really like. I met him about 4 days ago and we kinda started a fling. There is just ONE problem. He kinda has a "stalker". She like tells everyone he is in love with her and all this other stuff... and I mean the girl and I USED to be friends but now all she wants to do is create drama and thats something im not dealing with right now; i just wont have it. I am not sure whether I should just go TELL the girl we are gonna date/are talking about dating or let her find out by herself via someone else or facebook. I dont want to create any drama, but i really DO like this guy. WE just CLICK- in every way possible; mentally, physically, and emotionally... so I dont want to NOT date him just because of this jealou...

Foreign men

I have been dating this man from India for a year now, but he still doesnt want to be in a relationship with me so he says. We started off as friends and moved up from there, but he cant be with me because I'm white and american, and it is socialy unacceptable in his culture. Around his friends, I have to act like we are just friends. We cant hold hands around other Indians, which is ok to me because I respect that that is how it is in India. He puts flowers in my hair (which is a big deal to Indians) and does nice things for me. Im not allowed to date other people even though he said we are not in a relationship, but he wont admit he loves me. I love him. I feel like Im around for his convinience, not mine. Am I wasting my time?

Constant stomach pain

I am 23 F. I have been having weird stomach pain for a year now. I have tested my diet, but I still seem to get very nausiated even if I eat a piece of fruit. Anything I eat or drink will cause me to vomit or have severe pain like I just got kicked in my stomach. I have lost alot of weight very quickly, and I faint because of loss of nutreints from not eating. I have been rushed to the hospital many times, but they refuse to help me because I have no insurence. I cant work because I cant even stand up straight. I cant get medicaid or ssi because they said Im not blind, so Im not disabled. I am at my end, and I just want to give up. I am basically dieing by starvation and dehidration. Does anyone know what I can do?

i want to start surfing, i'm 17 though. would that be too late to start?? because, like ballet, if start late it'd be kinda impossible because you wouldn't be as flexible or something.. and are there any exercises i can do to make the first experience on a surf board easier? thanks.

I just got a canon a590 camera. The pictures it takes are okay, but I'd like to change the settings to make them look better and more professional. Anybody know what I should change them to? Or does anybody have this camera and some tips for professional looking (photography-like) pictures?

Ok. I have been struggling with my weight and self-image for almost 6 years now. I am going to college in the August (FALL 2009) and want to know if anyone knows of a good diet/workout regimen(sp) that seems to be working or that has worked for them. Im trying to lose about 50 pounds... and FAST. So any good ideas is appreciated. =]

Age Limits in Dating

What do you think is an appropriate age limit for dating? Like how many years older should it be and how many years younger. I am 18 years old and I have come to the realization that I need to set a date age limit... so any ideas would be lovely. Thanks. =]

Anti scarring treatments

Im using an anti-scaring gel called 'Dermatix' for scars i have on my arms.
I've been using it for weeks but I havent had any results, the scars arent really fading at all.
Has anyone used any anti scaring products that they have had success with?

Okay, so this is pretty embarassing. I've never talked about this with anybody. (16/f)
My dilemma is pretty simple, I want to masturbate because I hear it relieves stress and of course, the pleasure. But I'm just not sure how to stimulate my clit?
