my friend and i recently became closer friends. and he told me that he used to burn himself and cut himself and that he attempted to commit suicide three times. he told me that things were better now, but im still worried. he hasnt burned himself in six months. and i told him i'd always be here to listen. if he confides in me that he is suicidal in the future, should i tell someone. he told me no one can know, but i'm scared for him. i know he's fine now, but what about if he gets depressed in the future? what should i do? please help me.

I am on my second month of birth control. I had sex this past month about a week after my period ended. Though the previous week before i had sex i had missed a pill but took two the next day (that's what the instructions said.. they said to take it is soon as you remembered then the next one at your regular time but i took them both at the same time/ my regular time) I have been taking the pills at a fairly constant time give or take an hour and he used a condom. He did ejaculate though, but the condom didn't slip or break. Then about a week and a half ago we nearly had sex. his tip penetrated but didn't go all the way in because i wanted him to stop since we didnt have protection. I am now taking the pills where my period is suppose...

I know this make no sense, but I was wondering, why is it that people who have lost so much in life whether it be a parent or somthing can love so deeply and live, but the people who have suffered so little cannot?? If this makes no sense I'm sorry, then just ignore my question. My friends dad committed suicide and I just can't understand how anyone can commit suicide and leave the family behind and not know the damage it has caused. It really gets me when people on this site are asking how to kill themselves, b/c don't you know that suicide temporarily solves the problem by permanently destroying lives?? Gosh, I just don't get it. I want to know what would posess someone to commit suicide, problems are so temporary thats why life is called...

im an 18 year old female.
i've never had sex before, and don't plan on it anytime soon because i just haven't found the right guy, the one i love. i was just wondering though. how can people enjoy sex? i hear its a wonderful thing but all i can imagine is me being so worried about getting pregnant that i couldn't even enjoy it. i am currently on birth control (for my period) and have been for about 2 and a half years. i know i am going to make him use a condom, no doubt. i just can't see myself enjoying it though because i will be so worried about getting pregnant. i just wondered how people enjoy it so much, without thinking about getting pregnant the whole time! thanks [:

A few nights ago my family had the first actualy sit down talk all together that we have ever had. In this talk everyone including my two brother cried along with my Mother and myself. My Father walked into this talk like he has nothing to change, but slowly discovered that we all had a problem with him and they all seemed to be the same. That my Father doesn't care. He doesn't care about his children, or his wife. My brother Scott is 20, and currently staying at my house for free. Only because my brother Jason is 18 and does not have a job at the moment. Ok.. so normally i get really wet but last night me and my boyfriend were having sex and it hurt and i had A LOT of i guess u could call it discharge it was wark i couldnt tell you if it was clear it was dark but pretty sure it was clear but it felt like a gush kind of like when you get your period i used a paper towel to like wipe and it soaked the paper towel.. what could be wrong with me i never had that happen before.

Usually I'm the one advising in situations like this, but I'm too close to the person to have an objective viewpoint for this...so I need your help. He's 22. I'm 21.
As concise as I can make it, when he was younger, he had major depression problems, where he considered ending his life, until he wound up on antidepressants for four years. I met him in the last year of his medication stint. We dated while he came off of his pills, "broke up" when he wound up depressed again and went back on pills, and have had a very complicated relationship/friendship for three years.
