I heard on the radio that Amy Winehouse (sings "Rehab") died today sometime! I'm way shocked, if so because she looked fairly young to me. I mean, I guess it could be drugs, suicide, or murder but...still! Wow.
Is it really true?

Is Tofu good? What does tofu taste like?

I am thinking about becoming vegetarian but I don't know much about fake-meat products. I'm sure there are more faux-meat other than tofu but it's the first that comes to my mind (and probably the first that is offered at restaurants). Does anybody know what tofu tastes like? How would you describe the taste and texture? Does anybody like tofu?

What are some fun, cheap things to do with your boyfriend?

My boyfriend and I are pretty low on money. We haven't done much this summer and I thought it might be nice to make a date weekend with him or something. The only problem is the money! I was hoping that somebody has some neat ideas for activities we could do together? You know, to like, bring us closer together and have fun. Thanks!

I have 3 long haired cats. They shed evvverywhere. I am trying to clean my blankets..especially the fleece ones because they are covered in hair...is there any trick to getting rid of all the hair...or at least most of it?

I got a job but they want me to pay $400 first...normal?

ok, so I applied for a few jobs and one replied back to me and so I had to talk to them in an interview today. They said by the end of the week I would have the job but I have to pay out of my own pocket for a background check, finger printing, and a full physical (including lab work, tuberculoses TB test, and xrays)--all of which total is estimated to about $400. Is this common for an employer to ask? Should I just tell them I can't afford to do that at all? Ideas? Thoughts?
The job pays $8.75 with no benefits. It sounds weird they want me to pay them so much for these checks right off the bat, but I've never really been employed at a different place than where I have been working for a few years...so what do I know, ri...

Where can I get help making a resume (a place that I don't have to pay)?

Anybody know a place that can help me make a resume without having to pay for their help or the finished product? I am trying to get a job and I don't know how to create a resume at all! It's really stressful and I feel absolutely stupid since I don't know how to even start a resume. Maybe somebody here knows or something? Please, any help is appreciated!

Okay, well me and my ex boyfriend still talk. We text eachother and we still want to be friends even though we arent dating. We broke up about 2 and a half months ago. okkay so ive had a boyfriend for about 2 years now and im starting to think hes the one. Except for the fact that he will randomly ignore all my phone calls and everything for like a week and then blame me for not calling or asking to hang out. and everything good that happens and i try to tell him and all he sayd is yeah whatever. I heard this song today and it's totally awesome. Okay, so I've heard it a couple of times but I can't figure out who the artist is. It sounds like more than one person--a man and a woman maybe? I don't know for sure! Anyway, the lyrics are like:

What is Obama's health care plan?

I've read a few news articles about President Obama trying to make a new health care plan since it's very expensive here for decent health care but I haven't quite grasped the whole plan of action as it sits so far. I feel stupid for not quite understanding what is suppose to be happening with the health care plan or what Obama has really said about it. Can somebody kind of fill me in on the details in words I can actually understand? I know the health care bill is really important and I really should know what is going on...

Boyfriend and Gifts

Okay, let's face it. My boyfriend's family is from certain wealth, and it doesn't help that he has a very high paying job.
He wants to buy me stuff, expencive stuff. Like a new laptop and he wants to pay for the internet connection, things of that nature.
I was not born that way. I've had to earn everything I have and it makes me feel a little uncomfortable having him buy me all of this. I know it's practically pocket change to him, but I still don't like it.
I know it hurts him sometimes to have me argue with him over this, but I'm just confused now. What do you guys think? Should I just try and not argue over this anymore?

What is high fructose corn syrup? Is high fructose corn syrup bad for me?

I work as a cashier in a big grocery store and I am seeing a lot of products saying things like, "No high fructose corn syrup!" and stuff. I don't think I saw it a couple of years ago and it's making me curious what the stuff is and if it's bad to ingest. It's like the companies are advertising it because it's a super good thing that their product doesn't have HFCS.
The packages are from big name companies too like Pillsbury (cookies), Snapple (natural teas), Miracle Whip, and even Pepsi had these new throwback drinks that didn't have it in the mountain dew or original Pepsi.
So, what's this high fructose corn syrup stuff and why are they getting rid of it in products?
