Where can I get help making a resume (a place that I don't have to pay)?
Question Posted Monday July 27 2009, 10:45 pm
Anybody know a place that can help me make a resume without having to pay for their help or the finished product? I am trying to get a job and I don't know how to create a resume at all! It's really stressful and I feel absolutely stupid since I don't know how to even start a resume. Maybe somebody here knows or something? Please, any help is appreciated!

First you make a cover letter, with your full name on top. And basically a paragraph or two explaining why you want the job and what your prior experiences are. Also state if your a responsible person, and have a good work ethic, etc. At the end, write,
Thank you for your time,
full name.
Then for the resume, put your whole name on top, and list your prior experience, and some references of the peoples names phone numbers, and what you worked for them as. Make sure there not family.
Add any other additional information , such as charities you have donated too, and volunteer places you've worked at.
Make sure to have it look nice and neat with proper formatting and absolutely NO spelling errors, that's one of the first things a business looks at. Have your parents/friends proof read it.

They'll also have very detailed explanations of how to create one, it's quite simple once you read up on it. Also if you have Microsoft Words, Microsoft Publisher usually has already made resumes where you just input information.
