College Homesick

Im a freshman at college this year and i've been here for about a week. I was fine at first, but now i'm getting more and more homesick. I really miss my parents. I've made a couple good friends but no like a big group which im sure is what is adding to my homesickness. How can I get over this? becuase while my parents are coming for parents weekend in october...i wont be home until thanksgiving.

I had a really roller coaster sorta love story with this guy. He knew that I love him. I did a lot for him, even gave him a cake in class.
He let go of me for his friend. I was hurt.
I planned for a surprise on his birthday but now, I'm having second thoughts on even greeting him on his birthday. He explained to me that he le me go because he don't want to see me hurt anymore. He loves me enough to let me go.
Will i still prepare for his birthday??
Better question, will i still hang on for him??

me and him are really close. we hang out all the time and just always have a good time together. the dumb thing is that people think that we are dating! uhm hellooo? he is my COUSIN. people keep telling me, "you need to stop hanging out with him, people are starting to think you two are dating" and tonight my uncle was like youre not dating him are you? and i started laughing because how rediculous is that? and he was like see you cant even look at me and say youre not! i was like honestly, do you think i would ever ever EVER do that? its not like we flirt with each other, thats disgusting. we're just always together. whats so wrong with that? apparently there is something....

So I was raped like a year and a half ago... well the last thing the guy said was if you tell anybody you dont want to know whats gonna happen. Well I ended up telling someone which got me nowhere. I havent had a nightmare about is for a while now and today I woke up and shaking and crying for a dream that he came and got me. He made me call my mom when I had a gun pointed to my head and tell her I love her and I am sorry we wont be able to see each other anymore. Well my mom called the cops and someone ended up stopping him before he shot me.... right before i woke up he said... I will be back. Im so scared and depressed and I thought I moved on? What does this mean?

Ok, so my dad called me yesterday and told me he proposed to his girlfriend of a year and I think most kids would be happy but I'm not. This is his FIFTH wife. I think she's cool and all but I know he's gonna end up cheating on her and divorcing her and putting all his kids through this stuff again. What should I do? I tried talking to him about my feelings but he just got mad. Please help me!

Expressing myself through a computer screen Is very hard to do.So sharing info with random people is something i have never done in my life.But im just screaming for help and I have to be heard in one way or another.And im not here to be told that im just overreacting or that i just have to never give up because i've heard it all before and my pain runs so much deeper then that.So listen and just try to spare me the tough love and just help me by giving me the best advice possibly because that it what i really need right now.

Getting Marriage License in Iowa, Ceremony in Michigan

We are planning on getting our Marriage license in Iowa and it's good for 6 mos and I was wondering if we can still have the Ceremony in Michigan where our family is. I know a judge there and I would like to perform it in MI at a family members house and that way our whole family doesn't have to fly to Iowa...can I do this? Thank you.

Can anyone find me online magazine articles (credible ones) that exceed 5 pages in length? I'll take as many as possible on just about any subject, but psychology is my passion so if anyone finds anything about that, that'd be great! I know what websites to go to, but I can't quite find any that are long enough.. Oh, also, they should be from this past year.

Blocked phone calls

I live in FL usa and this person called my at&nt samsung cell phone and used *69 so i didn't know who it was. They used a voice disguiser... i think. it was deep and scratchy like bad connection. i think he said my name so it might be someone i know but idk im sooo scared it freaked the crap out of me and im a paranoid person so i think it may be a stalker but it probably isnt. what do i do? i don't think it is any of my friends and i don't give my number to a lot of people. HELP!!!

parents being unreasonable

My parents are really being unreasonable. They refuse to approve of my boyfriend because he's not from the same group of people as us. He's puerto rican and my parents dislike him because of the reputation they carry but what upsets me the most is they are judging too quickly.. They haven't even met him in person to be making judgements. And my father refuses to allow me to go out with him anymore. This isn't the only thing they dislike about him.. He's 18 but could pass as a 20 yr old and my parents claim that if I bring him over the house there going to ask for I.d to prove his age its completely nonsense !! I just don't know what to do anymore I refuse to bring him over because I don't want them to scare him away an...

Help with problem employee

I (25, female) was recently promoted to manager at my small business company. One of my employees (56, female) that I am responsible for has become an issue. Examples of what she has done include:
- mismanaging client accounts (all small amounts, but it's important)
- badmouthing me behind my back to to other employees and then denying it when confronted (at the same time being super-nice to my face)
- insisting that I have the problem with her
- refusing to complete all the duties as outlined in the job description
- taking longer on client outings, which hold up other clients for hours
- taking a valid criticism (she is always late for work) and turning it into a personal attack (I expect perfect...

Boyfriends birthday

Hey, so my boyfriend is turning 17, and i wanted to do sometihng really special for him. we have been together for around 10 months now. I have a pink helmet with flowers, which costed about $5, because its a joke me and his family have because he got hurt, adn his family jokes that they want him to wear it when he drives, and a $50 gas card. I want to give him both those on the 18th because thats when his drivers test is. ok so there is this guy at my college..... I really like him and I'm not sure if he likes me. We sit down and watch t.v. all the time and talk and laugh for like hours. He always looks at me in this way that I don't know how to explain it but he's sooo adorable. He makes me laugh like crazy and is a really good listener to. What should I do?
