You can never go back to the past and start from scratch, however you can always start from this moment and make a better ending for yourself. Life is way to short to be crying over spilled coffee, if you fall get up and try again and again, as many times as needed until the moment comes that you will have cleared all the bad things getting in your way. Your life has not fallen apart, it may seem that way, but the fact that you are still breathing lets you understand that the fight must continue. Cowards run away from their problems, heroes run to them and face them head on, after all its the only way you will come a winner. Dont feel sorry for yourself, wake up, snap out of your self pity, new day, different issues to tackle. At the end this is what makes life worth living, the challenges you will face and overcome, i guess what im saying is that one must face pain in order to really understand and appreciate happiness. Keep your head up my friend, life will get better. I know i been down bottom.

Me and my best friend got drunk about 3 weeks ago. Now my dad absolutely hates her and calls her a druggie and an alcoholic just because she drank once which was with me. My dad is very strict and very controlling and he's not the kind of guy that should be a father. He used to hit me when I was little and I'm deathly scared of him. I told my school guidance counciler(sp) about how me and my best friend did that and how my dad and mom knows and she says that they should be forgiving because I learned never to do something like that again because I didn't like it. So now i dont know what to do. My dad won't even talk to me and when he does he gets in my face and screams at me. even threating to bash my skull in. I told him he makes my life miserable and he said "NO I FKING DONT DONT EVEN GIVE ME THAT" and i said "how can you tell me if you do or dont" and he just said he knows he doesn't even though he makes my life a living hell. I got about two C+'s on my report card and he screamed at me and said "WHY DONT YOU GO STUDY YOU DUMB SH-T!!" my best friend can;t even go on our huge school fieldtrip becayse my dad called the school and told him I wasn't aloud to be with her. I tried talking it over with him and he just screams at me. On top of that, my mom comes home drunk every night and I don't even want to be living here right now. Does anyone have any help for me? Im no expert on this topic, however, now that im a litle older i see things in a different perspective..Everybody is quick to judge the father, even go as far as saying "hes not the kinda guy that should be a father". Last i looked you are the one that got busted drinking alcohol, got c's on your report card, and yet when your dad sees this and gets mad, its his fault? I dont know what else goes on in your life but from what im reading maybe the problem is that you are doing things that you shouldent be.
Think about that and try to change your ways, maybe your dad will change his.

I am looking for some advice on what to do about this situation. I am in my mid 20's and have a friend who lives with her boyfriend. She pays about 80 percent of all the bills-and works two jobs to do it. The problem is taht her boyfriend is always putting her down and calling her names. There have been a cople of times where he completely explodes at her for some stupid reason and they get into a huge fight where she ends up crying. This happened the other night and she let it out that he has hit her before. After these kinds of fights I have the usual talk with her and tell her that she needs to get rid of him, that she can do better, and doesn't deserve this treatment. The thing is, the next day she will act like nothing has happened and it's never mentioned again.
The thing is, I really don't know what my place is in all of this. My mom said I should mind my own business and that it must not bother her if she hasn't left in the 3 years they have been together and my brother said I should just leave so I don't end up getting hurt. But this is my best friend and I hate to just sit by and see her put up with this. I can't believe that she can just forgive him for how he acts because I certainly can't and it just makes me seem like a jerk! What should I do? (link)

ive heard of some cases were people allowed abusive behaviour to happen to friends because of the fear of losing the friendship...thats all fine and dandy but in every case the extent of the abuse escalated into death threats and such and eventually death.
Now im not saying this will be the case here, all im saying is give it some real thought, your friends life could very well depend on the actions you choose or choose not to take. Get somebody involved, her parents, brothers, anyone....and if push comes to shove get the police in all of this...maybe the friendship will be over but at least you will know that she will be safe.

Hi! Yes, this is another relationship question... but it is different, so stay with me! Just read over my situation and tell me what you think! I'm 20/f by the way! Thanks! :)
When I was a senior in high school I met a guy, and we hit it off really well and ended up in a 2 year relationship. We broke up at the beginning of my 2nd year of college because we began to fight a good bit. We fought because I wanted to experience the single college life, and he was a year older than me, but not in college, and didn't know what he wanted to do with his life. We stopped talking for 4 months, and it was very hard at first but we both got over it after we cut off all contact. In December he left for the Army, and he called me to tell me. I wrote him a letter, and he called me. 4 months later, we now talk on the phone all the time. He is currently stationed about 700 miles from me, and is getting deported overseas soon. But our feelings for one another have come back in full swing now that we talk all the time. The differences we had are no longer there. We always say how we miss one another and this and that... but we both know that a long distance relationship for the next 4 years while he's in the army is unrealistic.
So basically our plan is to contunue talking, and emailing, and he will come home and visit as much as he can... and when he is home we will basically be together all the time, have sex... basically act like a couple. We can both see each other married in a couple of years, but do you think this is a good idea? We really care for each other, but is this worth it if it's going to make our lives so much harder? I mean it will be so hard having to see him for a few days, and then watching him leave for months. Do you think it is a good idea, or do you think cutting off all contact and taking the "easy way out" would be better? What would be the best thing for us? I appreciate your opinions... thank you! Well i can honestly say that im kind off in the same boat right now, minus the long distance. Me and my gf of 3 years broke up because of schooling reasons, she was almost done university and i got kicked out. So to make a long story short, we cut all ties, minus the phone once in a while, its been 3 months and we are now talking a litle more everyday....I can honestly see myself with her forever cause i love her, and as much as people tell me to get over her and get with some one else i refuse to do it because like i said this girl i smy soulmate....All im saying is a few years from now when i get married to this girl i will look back and realize that every litle sacrifice was worth it at the end...If you really feel for this guy, dont let distance get in the way of what might eventually turn out to be a life long commitment...Love is a hard game to play, however if the right partner has been found, fight like there is no tomorrow to make it last.

Im not gonna beat around the bush like previous people have done. im a 24 yer old male and ever since i turn 15 i have had a one track mind. It is common knowledge that all guys need and hope for sex. In my opinion 13 year olds should not be dating anyone let alone a 20 year old man who has nothing in his mind other than sex. I understand you might feel like you love him, however you need to realize that for every action there is a reaction and in most places if a 20 year old man dates a 13 year old girl, i believe the term used is statutory rape. Do both of you guys a favour and give up on your "love " quest....and if you really need to love someone, get some one your age.
on a side note, about 3 weeks ago in my hometown, this 21 year old guy was given a 3 year sentence in federal prision for having sex with a 14 year old girl...do the math avoid everyone the headaches...be smart about everything you do in life

I just started seeing this guy not too long ago, and last night at his house we were talking about sex and I asked him how many girls he'd been with, and he said 10. Then he just told me (I didn't ask) that he lost his virginity when he was NINE years old! I guess I started freaking out a little, and thought he was lying and I blurted out "How could you do that?! You were still a little boy!!" And that really hurt him and he got this sad look on his face and I just wanted to shoot myself for being so mean to him. He kept saying it was okay, but I will still never forget that look on his face...
Well later that night he was driving me home and ALL I could think about was how young his was. I don't know my feelings about it fully, but I know that no 9 year old should be having sex or even thinking about it. I don't know why I'm still bothered about this, I'm trying to look past it but every time I think about him, I think about this. Damn it really pisses me off when I read some of the answers this know it all people give...Who the fuck is all of you to even beging to speculate what happened to the dude when he was 9 years old? I believe its a case of too much television and not enough education. Anyways back to the question...there is nothing wrong with a guy having ten sexual partners prior to you, i mean some people are just magnets to the opposite sex, and all guys love sex. I agree that it is a good thing to know about such a complicated topic like sex, however, 14 years is way too young for you or any one else to even be thinking about sexual activities. My advice for you and all the thousands of bored litle girls is to respect yourselfs and your moral upbringings and concentrate in school or some thing similar, rather than worrying about something that was put on earth by God for adult people to do. I dont know how old any of you are and honestly it doesnt matter. My opinion in all of this is for you to get rid of the loser. He obviously has a grade 1 mentality and therefore does not comprehend the meaning of not telling anybody. The way I see it if he told everybody about your litle "get together" he will do it again. This in the long run can cause you headaches in the sense where all guys will want to date you cause you alow them to touch. I dont mean to sound like an ass, however as a guy im telling you the way we behave, so do yourself a favour and ditch the dork before reps get made if you get my drift.

I've been going out with my boyfriend for a little over two months and everything seemed great, but for the past week or so it just feels like I don't love him anymore. We mostly talk online and when we do I don't say much to him and I get aggervated a lot with him. When I do get to see him it's basically the same, I don't feel anything for him. I don't know how to tell him I wanna break up with him cause I think it would hurt him because he tells my best friend that he loves me so much and would hate it if we ever broke up.. so I'm not sure what to do. Considering you are a kid yourself I dont believe that having a kid would be a wise move in your part. Ive know people whose entire life has been altered by having a baby at young age. No school, no social life, responsibilities..etc.
I seriously believe that you need to get your head in place, you are only 14 years old...Do things that you need to do and when you mature in age and mentality and find the right guy, than consider having a baby.
Smarten up, go to school, graduate and get a degree and some finacial stability and than and only than should u even consider the possibility of getting pregnant. I have lost a large number of people who were very important in my life. I do know that forgetting is impossible and not recomended. There are times where i feel depressed and missed my love ones deeply, but I come to the conclusion that they are in a better place looking down on me and I realize that me crying is not what they wanna see.
I find that best way to deal with a loss, is to think back on all the good memories shared, will you cry? yes but after you will have a feeling of closure and satisfaction. Keep living your life, dont allow circumstances to keep you down.
Time heals, people get taken from us, however, memories last a lifetime. and honestly i wouldent want it any other way.
Be strong, I guarantee you will be alright

me & ryan ex boyfriend, we're realllyyy close. we used to hang out everyday and always talk on the phonnee. then about 2 months ago we stoped. he stoped calling and stoped hanging out with mee. then about 2 weeks ago a girl who likes everyone, started to like him. and i thought i could trust him and no that he wouldnt like her. well he told me he didnt and was pretending then 5 days after this girl sent me proof. a myspace message that he sent her. it said blahblahblahblah i love you. =[ it made me really sad because i knew he wasnt kidding. and he wasnt. i talked him about it and he was like "im sorry for lying and messing things up but there nothing i can do now to make us the way we were. so this is bye." it was very hurtful.=[ then 2 days after that day. i was walking in the hall (in school) and then he was behind me so i tryed to walk a little faster then he was saying my name i knew i shouldnt of awnsered. but i did. i turned around and was like yes... and then he just told me an inside joke he had with someone. i was like okay. but i think he kinda did that just to talk to me. but then that same day on the bus (were on the same bus) me and him were talking and i was like can i just have one more hug and he was like yeah. then while we were hugging my best friend emily said "do you still like her" and he shaked his head no. but he always says he doesnt mean anything he says when were in fights.
so im really confused. should i try to get over him. or maybe talk to him about this.. or something =/

I dont agree with first answer about bringing back memories. The way i see it if you have to resort to that for making him like you again, you are better off without him. You could try talking to him or writing and explaining the situation. You should be able to come to a conclusion of where you two stand, if he says he isent interested in you, i suggest you move on. Will it be hard? yes, unfortunately in life, in order to find the beauty of love, your heart needs to suffer from time to time so that in the end real love is truly apreciated. Trust me, time heals, and life goes on.
