hello!! okay in my school there is this girl who thinks she is al that because her dad is "in the mafia" she has to have been like "my dads so busy cuz hes in the mob" or "im a mafia princess becuz my daddy is in the mafia". so the other day she sid "my mom was showing me this picture and she was pointing to all these guys and she was like 'hes in the mafia, and him, and him, and him too....' and then i asked who they were and my moms like "oh theyre your uncles" so i was thinking SHUTUP! in my head but instead i just said "right..the mafia" and she gave me this look like "omg" and like a really snotty look!! but i mean she ALWAYS talks about her dad being in the mafia! its so annoying she has to have said it like 20 times already im NOT kidding, i sit right behind her. Okay so heres the story...
Im only 14 but my boyfriend and i are convinced that we are both in love for the first time. I wanted to ask you this because i need a guy's point of view so i know what he is thinking. We havent had sex yet and we definately dont plan on it until we are older, maybe even married, but we do make out alot and we do go to "2nd base". He never seems interested in other girls and always tells me how wonderfull i am and everthing but I guess my question is, does he really mean it or does he just want action.. because he sounds serious when he says these things but some of the guys i have dated before were just jerks to me and used me. well, going by what you say, he seems to be cool with stopping at 2nd base, so judge him by his own actions, not by other guys' actions. listen to him if he says you're wonderful. you say he doesn't look at other girls, and you seem like him alot so i think he means it.

Heyy, I wanted to ask you a question b/c you have good ratings, and you're a guy.
Let me tell you the reason I'm having a problem first: I go to a mostly girls school and so I never really had the chance to converse with guys, and I don't really know how to talk to them. And I am 17 years old if that helps :)
1) Is it weird for a girl to just randomly walk up to a guy in public and just start a random conversation??
2) How come if a guy sees a "hot girl" he'll just go straight up to her and talk to her, but if he sees a nice girl who's a little overweight he won't talk to her?

before i answer these questions, let me first say that the best places to meet new guys (or friends in general) of substance are in classes, clubs or extracurricular activities, as corny as that sounds. having something in common like that automatically sets up a conversation. that said...
1) yes and no. don't walk up to a guy in the mall and ask if he likes apples, at the risk of looking mentally challenged. DO approach a guy in public and tell him you like his shirt/jeans/hair/other and ask where he bought them. see, if you aboslutely have to approach a random guy in public, at least find something to seize on to start a conversation that isn't random. like, if you see a hot guy in a bookstore checking out a book you love, walk right up and recommend it to him. the less random you can make the encounter, the less awkward it will be.
2) you answered your own question, babe...if a guy thinks someone's hot, he'll approach her. life isn't fair, but men also can't read minds. how would a guy know the overweight girl is nice from across the room? that aside, just because the opposite sex isn't lining up at your door doesn't mean they're not interested. i've only been approached by one or two random girls in my life, which means i've had to do most of the initiating myself.
sad fact it is, but everyone judges by looks at least when they first lay eyes on someone. your best bet is to be as smart and charming as can be and not rely on your looks (pretty as they may be) to win him over. yes, it is possible to become sexier or more attractive to someone physically without changing your looks.

here's the thing, my answer depends on info i don't know. the amount of space is dictated by the length of the relationship, really...if you guys have been together for a long time (a year or longer) or you sleep together, then i can help you, cuz i can say to you, spend some nights alone, have a few days in the middle of the week where you guys can relax without necessarily being together every time you have free time. if it's early into a relationship, and you guys only go out like, every friday night or once a week, i don't know what dictates space. i fear she might be trying to break up with you and not being able to put it in words. did she actually say to you "you're violating my boundaries" or is she just giving off hints? your best bet would be to do what she says...give her space, even if that means going a week or two without seeing her. if you give a her a week or two though, call and have a phone or IM conversation at least once so you can keep up with what's happening while she's taking a breather. i don't see why professional help would be in the equation unless you've entered stalker territory.

My best friend "Cara" is honest. A little too honest. In that sort of brutal way. She tells everyone the truth, but she does it in such a mean way. Me, Cara, & our other friend "Kandi" all went shopping one weekend for swimsuits. I tried on a bikini, & Kandi said I looked great, but that I should get a blue one instead of a pink one. Cara, on the other hand, said that it made me look chubby (even though I'm super thin) & that I should get a one-piece, like she is. Later that day, she criticized me & Kandi bcuz we were pigging out on pizza, while she only ate a salad. Another weekend, me, Kandi, & Cara went to see The Stepford Wives. On our way to Kandi's house, Cara was whining the whole way there. Even Kandi's mom agreed that Cara is a pain in the @$$. I have to see Cara again on Friday. Throughout my whole life, I've always been kind of 'pleasently plump' so to speak. Now, being thirteen, I was uber fat in elementary school, I've gained about twenty pounds since fifth grade, but I've grown a good seven inches. Is this healthy? My 'extra weight' evens out pretty well on my body..I'm five foot five and I weight about one fourty seven or so.
I have wide set hipbones, I'm a "WIDE" person..But I know I couldn't change that even if I tried, that's just my body type. SO should I even concider diet. Oh, I'm already a vegetarian...

you have to weigh the pros and the cons. they want to make money off you, just like you want them to spend money to make you a star. you'll have to reach a compromise on many things, and if you really don't think it's worth it, get yourself dropped. but think about it this way, isn't being signed and doing a few things you don't wanna do better than getting a boring-ass real job? do what they say for a little while, they're the experts, and if you start to make money, start saving it up. later on you'll have more freedom when it matters.

try writing some secular stuff. something you wouldn't normally write about. maybe you can try both sides of the coin and write about something from a christian perspective that isn't talked about much, like sex, violence and politics. what is the christian perspective on those subjects? what are your thoughts on them? think about what's currently bugging you lately, and write about your feelings.

I have this problem you could say, but whenever I find a neat, original band and I put their song in my info or something, somebody always steals it. Not only that, they think they know all about the band because they know part of one song. I know this is very selfish of me to think one band is labeled "mine", but I can't help it. One of my friends stole 10 bands that I once liked. Every song that I listened to, she went off and downloaded. I know most of you are going to say "well take it as a compliment, she likes your music", but the thing is I don't take it as a compliment at all, it's quiet annoying. Does anyone have any advice on this? Do you think that what I'm doing is as stupid as I think it is? (link)

let me give you the cold hard truth and say nothing's original anymore. you weren't the first to discover any of those bands, so wouldn't you think it's silly if someone complained you were ripping off their style? the best you can do is enjoy the music for what it is, and if other people start taking after you, what can you do? if your group of friends ends up liking the same stuff, you guys could make plans to go to shows together. it isn't "stealing" as you put it, because they're simply taking your recommendations. take it as a compliment if your friends are following your taste in music. i'd kill to have my friends give a shit about the last few cds i've bought.

All throughout my life I've broken every set of headphones I've ever owned. I really dont know what the deal is. They always seem to lose connection on the right side. Does this happen to anyone else? Anyway, I kind of borrowed some headphones from my sister and now Ive found that I've broken those too. .. Anyone know how to fix it? i've had the same thing happen alot, and i've sort of deduced to stay away from COBY headphones and Panasonic. more expensive headphones tend to stay together for longer, so bite the bullet and get yourself some $30 sony ones, trust me you'll save money on all the new 'phones you won't hafta buy.

hi i've been searching far and wide looking for downloadable mp3's from the band new order. i've tried dogpile, google, altavista, singingfish, just about anything you can imagine. the weirdest things is that dogpile used to have a load of links, but now the majority of the results aren't even relevant or play short clips of the songs.
