I'm sort of stuck. I go to this church that the rest of my family likes a lot, but i don't. I really like my old church and I really want to go back, but the rest of my family doesn't like it. i don't know what to do! I told my mom about it and asked if i could go to church with one of my friends, but she got REALLY mad and made me feel really guilty. Does anybody know what to do? Thanks!
I've been through this except it wasn't a new church. I just liked my friend's church a lot better. You need to explain to her why you like your old church more, stress to her that it's not the people you go to church with, it's about what you get out of it, sit her down, talk to her. Make sure it's not yelling and try not to get angry. You need to prove to her you're adult enough to decide what church you attend. Well, good luck!

okay. i'm depressed. yesterday was the worst day ever. it was two of my sisters birthdays. my youngest sister passed away before she saw her first birthday. my older sister... well she was like drinking all the time and sneaking out of the house al the time and sleeping around. well she moved down to my dads and upset the whole family. yesterday just reminded me of all the bad things that happened and i was really cranky. i yelled at my b/f and best friend and now i feel really guilty. how can i make it up to them when i'm so upset?
We all have our days. I don't think you should worry about it too much. These people care about you, and if they know what's going, they'll understand. You just need to talk to them, let them know you're not angry with them. It'll all be alright.

I know how this goes, and love, there's nothing you can do. For the sake of the friendship, be patient with her. It's possible that you're both at different times in your lives so she's just looking for someone else to talk to. I'm sure she hasn't forgotten you, but in the mean time, try to find your own friends. Try to do your own thing for a while. I think you'll be surprised at how good it feels. Well, good luck!

You should just be honest with him, tell him what's going on. You think you two are ment to be, take a chance. It can't be worse than listening to stories of all his other girls and knowing in yourself how much better you could be for him, right? Me and my family have been spliting apart this past couple months, my mom left my dad and found someone else. Im not sure how to accept this because it seems like she left my dad to be with him.but here lately my dads been tryin to but all the pressure of his on me and trying to make me feel bad about it and it works i dont know what to do about it though.
At a time when everything seems to be falling apart, you have to be strong. You need to tell your father this isn't your fault, and he needs to step up and deal with his own problems. Make sure he knows you're willing to talk to him, still love him, all those good family things, but you are not the cause of these problems. My dad has tendencies to do the same thing, but you just have to be assertive about the situation.

Yes, absolutely, choose a crazy fad-diet that cuts important things out of your diet. The key to any good diet is balance. You need to cut back on things that are empty calories and junk while replacing them with fruits and vegetables. That crazy food pyramid we're always having drilled into our heads? Yeah, using it might behoove you a little. You need to exercise! Your body doesn't want to lose weight, it wants to maintain the stableness it has going on right now. You need to exercise in order to let your body know that everything's going alright still. Plus, exercise makes you look and feel just amazing, and it can really be a lot of fun. The exercise aspect is just like the diet aspect, you need a balance. You should work your arms, legs, abs, heart. Alright, so basically work everything! Diet pills, skipping meals, puking, starving yourself and fad diets are all over the news for a reason--they're not sure if they work. They hurt your body even more than being overweight would, and they're just one big mistake waiting to happen by someone vulnerable to get sucked into a seemingly promising deal. Alright, I had a friend in a very similar situation. Let your parents get to know this guy, and make sure they trust you. If they believe you're responsible and they like this guy, you won't have any problems. It'll make the relationship a lot more fun. You won't have to be constantly worrying about being caught. Ok this is weird but i want to get my ear pierced and my friend has a peircing gun. But my parental unit had a problem with it. But i am 17 i should be able to pierce my own ear. So the question is should i just go pierce it and come home to see what happens or not?
Okay, your parental unit's worries might not be so illogical. You're 17, not a legal adult yet. Don't go against their word because when they find out, you're going to get into trouble. It's a parent thing, so insanely predictable. You've waited this long, you can wait a little longer. That or just talk to your parents about getting it done in a safer, more professional manner. For the sake of your own social life, don't go against your parents.

Alright, so we've decided that you should talk to this boy, right? Now the age old question, what do I say to him? Start simple, a little small talk. Ask him what his new school's like, is he making a lot of friends, what are the teachers like. It's something you can relate to your life and some great conversations could stem from those questions. Eventually, you can tell him you like him still and why you're stilling talking to him, but start small at first, let it get to that point. As for your friends, they'll get over it. You should tell him how you feel. Maybe he doesn't understand that you don't like being the person doing all the communication. He could very well think you like doing this so he's backing off to make you happy. He might be shy about making the plans as well. Maybe he doesn't know where to go or what to do. It could be easier for him to leave that to you. I think there's nothing wrong with calling your boyfriend. Sweetie, you need to distance yourself from him. It's not going to be easy because you like him and because he might not take well to you leaving him. You can do better, and you need to not see him for your own safety. A guy like that will mess with your mind. He can make you feel worthless, and he can ruin your life. It may sound like I'm over-exxagerating, but sticking with a guy who beats you could lead to this. You can do so, so much better; You really can. Alright, if you can't change the situation, adapt to it. Join clubs, make friends, swallow your pride and just get along with these priniples you dispise. Just make things as good as you can for yourself. Find refuge in books or writing. If you can get to this new school, that's fantabulous. I just hope that things go better for you there. Alright, you like him. He likes you. You're in a situation where you really miss this guy, and you want to see him pretty badly from the sounds of things. I think you should go for it, but procede with caution. Make it clear to him you want something more than just sex. You have to set clear and distinct boundaries for him, and if he crosses them, you have to make sure he realizes you're serious about them. Alright, I can tell you where your problems is right off the bat. "My friend told my other friends" Why didn't she just tell you straight up? I'm not trying to incinuate you have a bad friend. However, I am incinuating that this may be meaningless gossip. If this kid's crush is serious, he will tell you straight up. Until he does that, there is no need to make the situation anymore confusing or possibly break someone's heart. Give her a little space for a while. This can't be easy on her, especially during the holiday season. Just let her know that you love, and you'll stand by her no matter what. I am 35 and my older sister is 37.
I am a creative, intellectual type and she is a practical, common sense type. She does not understand me or why I love to read so much. She considers my creative writing a waste of time. What I love, she has no value for. What can I do or say to help her understand me? We are so different. She is a great sister otherwise.
Do you have things she does that you don't understand? Compare those things for her. Let her know that it's all relative, maybe she doesn't understand that. Also, if that doesn't work, let her know that your time is your time. However you chose to spend it should be respected by her. It's not her choice to make on what's good and what's bad. I guess the subject line says it all. I constantly flip-flop between Christianity, Atheism and Buddhism. I like a little of all, and I can't seem to choose one faith. I always change my mind. Is there something wrong with me? Am I flaky? It's just that a faith is an important choice, and I'm afraid to make the wrong one.
I like all three, but I know I have to pick one.

Okay, you need to follow your heart. You might like all of them, but you need to really go with the one you can see yourself celebrating the most. It's normal to flip-flop. Eventually you'll decide something. Religion is a constant thing throughout all of our lives. However, I disagree with just about everyone who posted here. Choosing one religion and sticking with it is important. If you're a Christian, you are NOT a Buddhist. You can believe in some of the zen qualities and ideals from Buddhism, but you can not take their gods. You'd be contradicting your Christian believes. I don't even know how you'd be a Christian Atheist or a Buddhist Atheist. That's like an awesome oxymoron. If you follow your heart, you're making the right decision.
