Hey everyone. I was wondering what YOU think is cute to paint or re-arrange your room, because my room has no windows and its always so dark and depressing down there and i was just wondering if you had any ideas to spice it up a bit at low costs? i will rate for effort.

Well DEFINITELY do not paint it really really dark colors because it will make your room dark (duh) and even more depressing and it will also make it look smaller not that that really matters. my advice would to pick a more light color(s), like PINK! and then get lots of pink stuff - rugs, pillows, comforters etc. (it doesnt have to pink though, like the color you choose).. also, buy posters of things you like and hang them up!! but most importantly, make sure you have enough lighting since you have no windows, that will probably be the most important thing, plus theres all kinds of funky lamps and stuff!! I think that you should add Christmas lights to your ceiling and also paint/have someone paint a realistic painting (doesnt need to be that big) of a window view. Hope I helped. :)

A great way to brighten uo a dark rooom is to pur mirrors on the walls to reflect the light coming form lamps...this is very fung shuei by the way...and you can get some inexpensive mirrors at places like Ikea (www.ikea.com). they have DIRT cheap mirrors and room accesories that could do your room good. and if your are going to paint your room, do a very light subtle color sicne your room is so dark, the paint will appear the perfect shade!

get bright-colored sheets at a cheaper store like Ross or TJ maxx. also paint some pictures or draw and hang the drawings/paintings on your walls! and get some cheap movie posters or something to put on ur walls. anything thats colorful will make ur room less depresseing

Well at the home depot they have this cool colorful lamp with about 5 lights and you can move them around and not that expensive. i have it and its great

If you have no windows then you need to have lots of lights in your room! humm for color going something vibrant taht will work with your furnature and your lights. Just stay away from dark colors casue then it will be a lil scary. But for your lil closet or w/e maybe you should get some dressers { if your room is bigger} ot makes your room look more complete and it keep everything organized!

well.. no.1 get urself some secondhand storage.. thats normally pretty cheep if you know some rellies.. as for the dark and depressing.. put in some light colors greens.. pinks.. yellows... and some neon lights will help heaps.. but they can sometimes be quiet expensive.. but yeah maybe paint your walls a nice bright color..
a couple lava lamps can really spice a room up.. maybe one of the wax ones in one corner.. and a glitter one in the other.. what you think? i got my nephew (11months) a lava lamp for christmas coz he likes bright colors and movement and i picked it up for AUD$25

YELLOW!!! i just painted my room yellow!!! ok trust me yellow will lighten up any bedroom!!! its a bright color and it makes small enclosed rooms look much bigger... white furniture... any light colors... if you dont like yellow go for light blue or something... light light light... and light furniture... another amazing way to make your room seem bigger is mirrors... do like a fun collage of mirrors on your wall or something... and to fill up the walls, make collages of pictures of your friends and things that are important to you... personalize! hope i helped!!! =)

i think it would be cute to have your room pink with zebra stuff in it. if you don't like that you can always just paint it a bright color to make it more happy. put cool stuff in your room that matches like lamps and furniture that matches what your going to paint your room like. just be creative. i hope i helped!

Put some mirrors in your room, they should lighten things up and make it look bigger. Try a lot of things that are really airy looking and light. It's like spring time in a room, kinda. Well, good luck with your room!

this idea might be totaly off of what your thinking but i think it would be totaly cute. Okay since you dont have a window herws what i wouold do. MAKE ONE and i dont mean like place one in your wall i am being mroe creative then that.
Find an empty space on your wall where you would want a big one. then you know like those over head things and you pull down. You could like do that but have like a drawing of rain or snow or sun on it! One of each wheater and make it look like a window... then according to the wheater out side just change it. Its kind of hard to explain but i think its better then nno window. Also make sure there is coor in your room
like lttle colorful things like lamps or carpets... etc. paint your room a brither color but not super bright 2 give it a happier tone to. hope i helped a little bit. i could help more if i knew liek the size of the room etc.

i love pastel colors! .. they're really cute i just paited my room tinkerbell green and it really brightened up my room. so try livley colors it makes a big diffrence. <3 jazz

I would say pick a lighter color for your room if you paint it because the no windows thing will make things really dark with dark paint. Umm. What I would do is go to Ikea. They have a lot of cool ideas (they have rooms set up on display and none of the ones i have seen have windows in them) and you could get many ideas from there. They have great prices and really cool stuff. my whole room is pretty much done from there. good luck.

You should paint your room a bright color like yellow and buy some furniture from Ikea (they sell everything for such a low price!!) But the most expensive furniture is from Bassett

I have 1 wall banana yellow and the 3 other walls pink. Get a light. A cool one anyways. Ask the wal-mart people if they have the light that is blue, red, yellow, green, and white. Its a really cool light and has 3 diff. settings on it. Get that.. it'll be cool in your room and will help with light. Get a bed canopy and cool pillows. Lil trinkets work well. Put pictures of friends all over. Get a cute rug. Sorry im describing a really girly room im doing my room. I hope i helped though!!-trixxy
