I'm so confused. I hang out with my friends and stuff but I don't really have a best friend. I feel like when I'm with my friends I'm just a third wheel or somebody thats just there. PLease give me some advice people! (link)

It's ok not to have a best friend!!! You just don't like to pick favorites and that's fine. You aren't hurting anyone. And if your friends hang with you, you're improtant to them , don't worry.

She might have been trying to protect you. Maybe she got scared when she heard you did that and she told. I thik she told on you cuz she luvs you.

I have a friend that I've known since like 3rd grade. I'm a sophomore now and lately she's been driving me crazzy. She's my bestfriend and I don't have another bestfriend, i have other friends but I dunno she's always been my bestfriend. So, yeah.. she's been reallly annoying me. Suggestions?

Well, why is she annoying you? It might not really be a big deal. If she's your bestest friend then stick with her. Talking to her always helps. If you're really a good friend, you won't diss her or ditch her. That, or maybe you two shouldn't be BEST friends anymore.

All right, I have a friend Lizzie, and we are really close. She has a group of friends that I always knew didn't like me that much, and that never bothered me. but all of a sudden she's telling me that she can only hang out with me on the bus on Thursdays, and doesn't talk to me anymore. Well if she was that mean, maybe she isn't the person you thought she was. Girls are like that, they wanna show off to their friends. But you need to move on. Don't crawl back to her, because that's probably what she wants you to do. IF you say, "Fine whatever" that won't be the answer she wants. Maybe she'll react and crawl back to you. okay.. my two bestfriends do not like eachother and i dont know why but they cannot be around eachother. When I hang out with one of them the other one gets mad cuz she says I always ditch her. And if I go places with them together the one person will start talking about the other person and the other person will get upset. I've tried talking to them both but they won't be friends!!!! Well, maybe when you hang out with one friend, don't tell the other. Hang out with them both equally. If someone gets mad for hanging out with the other, say, "I hang out with you just as equally as I hang out with you. Why are you so threatened when I hang out with tmy other friend too. She's my friend, you may hate her, but she is. And I love you both the same" Something like that maybe. Hope I helped, and hope it works out!

well today wen i went to skewl mi 2 bffs nd i were outside in the parking lot nd evrything was going great until mi one friend (let's call her jill) sorta made fun of mi other friend(lets call her gabby) because gabby likes this boy in my history class. jill kept trying to apologize to gabby because gabby got mad at jill,but jill just made things worse. soo im stuck in the middle while mi 2 bffs are fighting, then gabby sed that she hates jill and never wants to speak to jill again. then in tech. class, jill sed that she "absolutly hates gabby" i dont know what to do and now jill isnt coming to hang out w/ us on halloween just because gabby is going to be there! what should i do!?!

This may suck, but you really can't change how your friends feel about each other. Maybe you could take them both aside and talk to them about their argument. Either that or keep them away from each other. They might just not be a good match. If Jill is going to be that immature about Gabby, then show her you like Gabby too. I think Jill thinks you're going to tag along with her and ditch gabby. That's what she wants, so don't give it to her. Say, "Gabby, if you're going to be that immature, go ahead." Let her know NOBODY pushes you around. Just a note, don't play sides. it'll causde more problems. (not saying you wil, just a reminder)

My brother got in some mess with some people.They are the type that do drugs have gone through lost of shyt in life.Well my brother did something and they took it very personal and came down to our house and began yelling at the door.but we have a gate so he couldnt come in but he was real ruff he also came with his older brother; i guess thay wanted to fight.Well the younger one which is 17 busted out with im gonna kill you or something like that and that boy is known to have a dangerous background.im really scared i dont know what to do.im very confused my brother tells me not to worry but how am i not suppose to.plz help me!ive thought about calling the police but i dont think i can go through with it until that boy took some serious actions. Next time they're at the door, call the police. Or tell someone. You need to tell somebody right now, police, parent, someone you trust. Just, don't mess with them, and try to avoid them.

Be honest on how you feel. Tell her if she's gonna be that way, it's time to let go. I used to have a friend like that at my old school. It does stink. one mintue she hates you around her "friends," then she loves you when they leave. UGH! Either hold on and work it out, or let go for a while.

Make her a special card too. If you want to by her a present that would be cool as well. What's her favorite treat? Treat her to ice cream? Have a fun sleepover or something. Maybe you two could go skating or bowling, or a funny movie. Do anything she thinks is special she'd like. Good LUCK

Oviously she really looks to you as a role model. And I think that's great. She thinks you are, and you probably are, a great person. But If you really don't like it, in a calm voice say, Listen, I'm glad you like to do things I do, but can we take it down a knotch? I'm not mad, just, please stop copying EVERYTHING i do.

..okay i know this is really long but i really need advice!! well this girl is one of my best friends..she tells me everything..well about a month ago she told me she was going anerexic, because she thinks shes fat! She is really skinny..!! I told her not to because she is really skinny and that is sooo unhealthy..and its stupid! She doesnt believe me whenever i say shes skinny..she just thinks im being nice whenever im really not! Everyday at lunchtime she would get a bottle of water..and if one of the teachers made her eat she would go to the bathroom and throw up! One day i followed her without her knowing. Well I didnt know what to do so I went to the guidence counsler..and told him what was going on..well he called her mom..but didnt say i said anything. i am not sure what her mom said.. so my friend found out it was me because i was the only one who she told. and i didnt know that! so she got mad at me and i appologized and we made up..and today in school she said she was doing it again?!??!?! i have talked to her a million times but its not working! i dont know what to do! i already told the consler the last time she did it..what should i do?! please help!! You really need to talk to her. If she is so skinny, have other people tell her that. Like say, hey tell that girl how beuaitufl and skinny she is! To people in the hallway, or to her other friends. If that doesn't work, you need to get help. Talk to your mom and counsler again. She needs help. Please write to me in my column. i really would like to know how it works out. HAng in there! Well i am 14 years old and I am a female !! If I were you, I wouldn't mention it. But if it really is bothering you, try talking to her. You're friend is still a great person. Remember it's who they are, not what they are. Be cool and don't embarass her!

I have all different kinds of friends in such, but i hang out with 2 of them more. Im not a girly girl( and im not a lesbian) i hate wearing skirts and dresses and i really dont lyk really preppy people tha wear houchie skirts and a half a shirt, but maybe tha's juss some of the girls that go to my school. I just don't understand why people wear that stuff when you know its unconfortable. Why wear high heels to school them you could be confortable. THey only dress like that to get guys attention. I don't like cheerleaders either they annoy me. I'm kinda skater and like to do things that girls normally don't do or arent that good at. Me n my best friend r crazy at those kinda things and fit in real easily with the guy crowd. Every place that i go i always get mean looks from preppy girls cuz i don't dress lyk a brittany spears wannabe. Why do you think people corner me cuz im skater and not a barbie doll? (link)
