My friend
..okay i know this is really long but i really need advice!! well this girl is one of my best friends..she tells me everything..well about a month ago she told me she was going anerexic, because she thinks shes fat! She is really skinny..!! I told her not to because she is really skinny and that is sooo unhealthy..and its stupid! She doesnt believe me whenever i say shes skinny..she just thinks im being nice whenever im really not! Everyday at lunchtime she would get a bottle of water..and if one of the teachers made her eat she would go to the bathroom and throw up! One day i followed her without her knowing. Well I didnt know what to do so I went to the guidence counsler..and told him what was going on..well he called her mom..but didnt say i said anything. i am not sure what her mom said.. so my friend found out it was me because i was the only one who she told. and i didnt know that! so she got mad at me and i appologized and we made up..and today in school she said she was doing it again?!??!?! i have talked to her a million times but its not working! i dont know what to do! i already told the consler the last time she did it..what should i do?! please help!!

Show her how much you care, don't just go around telling everyone else so they can help her, the best help she can get at the moment is from you, you can stop it from getting to bad. Let her know that your there for her, tell her she's beautiful, whatever she may say to knock it down, just keep going, if she says "your just being nice", say something like "it may be nice, but its the truth, and nice guys dont lie" or something like that. Just always be there for her, reassure her about how gorgeous she is, and prove to her, however possible, that she's perefct the way she is. It's just a phase, hopefully it doesnt get to serious. hope i helped. Good Luck :-)

You wanna help her and I know it may have consequences but istead of the counslers callin her mom why dont you go and talk to her mom so you can both help her out. Tell me how things go! bye*

OMG my friend did that do but she was also cutting herself!~! so a couple weeks after she started cutting more like her wrist the she did her stumach. i went to the councler and she kalled her mom and she has counceling still but she still does it! so y dont u just keep talkin to ur friend and say hom you feel and everything u can thing of that may make her feel better!! but after she throws up all the time it will start happening w/ out her like puttin her fingerr in her mouth
so turn her into the councerler agin

go to the counselor again. your friend may end up being mad at you, but its better that you have her be mad at you then her being really sick.

....The thing is sweetheart. You can't stop her from doing what her mind is set on doing. Best thing to do is talk to her mother in person. You may ruin your friendship with her, but you'll most likly save her life. Don't hesitate. Do it now.

It sounds like your doing the right thing. If you are the only one that your friend told then she must feel close to you and trust you. If the counsler knows about her problem then he will do somthing about it. Just keep telling her that she is not fat and going anerexic is soooo unhealthy. GoOd LuCk!!

go to her mom...bitch at her mom until she gets it in her head that if the mom or dad doesnt do nething about it, then it will be bad later on for their daughter. u did awesome by goni to the counselor...keep doin it and keep tell ur friend.

She needs to get help. Tell her mom to get her counsling. Tell your friend that the acid from her stomach that she throws up is going to slowly burn away her esphogous(sp?) away and mess up her teeth. If she gets any worse she needs to go to a hospital.

Have you tried telling her your feelings? Something along the lines of, "I'm worried about you. You're my bestfriend and I don't want you to hurt yourself"? If talking to her isn't working, you could talk to her mother in person, or you could ask her to go the guidence counsler, and offer to go with her, so she dosn't have to go through this alone. Even if she does get mad at you for doing this, you'll probably feel a lot better with her being mad at you and knowing you helped her, than to live with the fact you didn't help her, and she almost kills herself because of anorexia. Just keep telling the counsler, or like I mentioned before, talk to her mother IN PERSON. That has a much better effect than her recieving a call from the school.

You really need to talk to her. If she is so skinny, have other people tell her that. Like say, hey tell that girl how beuaitufl and skinny she is! To people in the hallway, or to her other friends. If that doesn't work, you need to get help. Talk to your mom and counsler again. She needs help. Please write to me in my column. i really would like to know how it works out. HAng in there!
