Highschool...new friends
i recently moved to a new town and dont know any kids here im going to a new highschool starting 9th grade in 2 weeks but im scared i wont make any friends...is it easy to make friends and meet people there???thanks

you are lucky that you are starting 9th grade. in highschool they make sure that freshman make lots of friends... its extremely easy!

Chances are there will be other kids that are in the same situation as you. So just look for anyone who looks as lost as you feel and go up to them and start a conversation.

I had this exact same problem because I'm going to a new school and I know no one, but since I play soccer, they had a summer soccer league and I met alot of new friends, basically the whole team is really nice and cool, and they are now my friends. Just be nice and friendly and have an open mind, be outgoing and go up to random people in the hallway and be like "Hi, I'm new and I just moved here do you mind showing me around?" or go up to someone and pretend that your lost and say "I excuse me but I am new and I don't know where I am going do you no where room 5987639876 is?" (I just made up a random number)

First of all just be yourself .. everybody will love you, then maybe try joining a sport or club to meet new people, and try not to be shy, because if you see someone you might want to be freidsn with go up and say hi .. hope i helped

yes it is...because since highschools are so much bigger then junior high and elementry.....you have much bigger classes and you do alot of group work which allows you to meet new people!!! and there are alot of freshman out there just like you who want to make new friends....so your set!!

The best thing, in my opinion, is to be yourself. You will most likely find someone who loves to be around you for who you are and those are the best types. Be as positive and patient as possible. Try to consider other peoples feelings and opinions. And also remeber, just relax!!! You will do perfectly fine!

Yea!! You'll meet tons of new people in High School. High School is FILLED with tons of people. Just be patient and positive. Just be outgoing and sweet and smile at everyone so they don't think you're a snot (not saying you are). And in every class, try talking to people around you and holding a conversation with them, try doing that in EVERY class of yours, and then you'll bound to meet new people. And, you won't be the only NEW person in high school, there'll be other people who are in you position and trying to meet new people too. Hope this helps and have fun in high school. it can be nerve racking to make new friends but just be nice to them and smile... i tell everyone that... just smile because a nice smile makes people feel comfortable around you. so smile and you'll do fine =)

Ok, be the nice person you are. If you see a nice looking girl, make a conversation. Talk about a movie, tell a joke, talk about weather, compliments are good, try to be friendly to everyone!
Come to me whenever you need someone.
