the catcher in the rye is very very good, ive read it twice and love. it has, to me at least, a very profound meaning to it and you just learn and realize more as you read it and for me the second time i read it. go buy it and read it, you most likely like it.
and yes, friday night lights was a pretty good movie.

Q: ok so im getting braces this thursday but before that i need to make a decision whether to get the clear or colored ones. the clear ones are NOT invisilign just to let you know the clear ones are basically the same as the colored ecept they match the color of you teeth. now the thing is with the clear ones if you eat something like chocolate, your braces would turn brown which i dont really want to happen but they say it doesnt happen if you brush your teeth a lot (which i do) but like in school if i have like a chocalate bar or something i cant brush my teeth in school and the other thing is pratically all my friends have the colored ones and i really havent seen many people with the clear ones.
can someone help me figure out what to decide?

definetly get coloured...like me. my cousin has the cleart ones you are talking about and it just looks like there is a bunch of crap/plague on your teeth, it doesnt look any better, and it isnt less noticable. if you dont want that much attention drawn to your mouth, dont get bright coloured bands.
p.s. braces suck, and hurt, buy lots of applesauce + yogurt + pudding!

Q: okay, so i am a 13/f, and i wanna get my belly button pierced.
my parents said it was okay in the begining, but then my sister 16/f, didn't get it so now they are not allowing me for a few years.
so i wanna know what i can say to them to change their minds, or things that won't happen if i do get it pierced (they are afraid something bad will happen to me)
so pretty mucht he pro's not con's of getting it pierced, anything else about it will be apreciated!

-the cost of the peicing job itself, and the jewely
-infections if you get cheap jewelry
-if you dont like it after awhile, there will be a scar
-that is something your parents can take away if your in trouble (along with the tv and phone and such, you get my point)
so i would say wait a while, dont rush it because chances are you wont even like it after a while.

well since you dont know how long a period lasts(about 3-5 days, but it varies by the way) you are probably a beginner, and since you are new to this, it is best for you to use pads, tampons are better after a few months experience, and personally always is the best brand, and then pick the size that is best for your flow. but if you really want to use tampons, tampax pearl is the best, and there will be directions in the box.

Q: Hello, I'm a 17 year old female. Who is interested in taking boxing class.
I've heard somewhere that if you take boxing classes and get into a street fight, you'll be arrested and charged with weapon possession because they would consider your fists as a weapon. Is this true? Or am I the only one that has heard about this?
Another thing is, I get into a lot of physical fights, so if what I said above is true exactly what do you think would happen to me?

you have to be 18 if you do not have a parent or gaurdian present when you get it done. if you have someone over 18 that is there you can be under 18.
a tip-be sure youre going to want this all your life because tatoos are harder to get off then they are to get on.

i have the same exact problem
when i read i go to sleep reaaaaal quick usually unless im totally tired.
the best advice i can give is to not sleep late on weekends so you are used to not alot of sleep, but if you feel really tired alot then just try talking to your doctor about sleeping pills.

well im pretty sure a normal earring is size 18 and they go by 2's, so going from 18(normal) then to 16 might be a little painful because your just starting, but if you wait a good amount of time before going to 14, it shouldnt hurt that bad.

also some tips:
*make sure you are doing this because you really want to and not because all your friends have it.
*if you go to a 14 or bigger you have to leave an earring in at all times, otherwise your hole will close completely.
*putting an 18 in after youve had a 14 or bigger for a while, your hole will close around it and be normal size again.
*i think a really good place to buy them is hot topic, if you have one near you.

thats not HORRIBLY wrong...its not like you got totally wasted and emptied out the whole liquer cabinet(by the way...NEVER do that) you just took a few sips because you were curious...you shouldnt feel quilty and you dont have to tell your parents unless you really feel the need to. just dont go around being all "im so cool i drank vodka" and DONT go for more next time.
