Nallie answered Sunday February 5 2006, 10:32 pm: There are now slender tampons for teens and beginners. The ones with plastic applicators are better. A period should last anywhere from 3-7 days, usually less than seven in the begging of your cycles. By all means follow the directions on the box, and until you are used to wearing a tampon wear a panty liner too. [ Nallie's advice column | Ask Nallie A Question ]
hopelessly_devoted answered Sunday February 5 2006, 10:21 pm: well since you dont know how long a period lasts(about 3-5 days, but it varies by the way) you are probably a beginner, and since you are new to this, it is best for you to use pads, tampons are better after a few months experience, and personally always is the best brand, and then pick the size that is best for your flow. but if you really want to use tampons, tampax pearl is the best, and there will be directions in the box.
