I can't really explain to you on how to insert a tampon but all I can say is follow the directions in the tampon box. It may seem hard at first but you will eventually get it and it will be easy. also, a period will last from 3-7 days. To me, I think that the best tampon is tampax pearl.

There are now slender tampons for teens and beginners. The ones with plastic applicators are better. A period should last anywhere from 3-7 days, usually less than seven in the begging of your cycles. By all means follow the directions on the box, and until you are used to wearing a tampon wear a panty liner too.

well since you dont know how long a period lasts(about 3-5 days, but it varies by the way) you are probably a beginner, and since you are new to this, it is best for you to use pads, tampons are better after a few months experience, and personally always is the best brand, and then pick the size that is best for your flow. but if you really want to use tampons, tampax pearl is the best, and there will be directions in the box.
