How old do you have to be to get a tattoo? I am a 16/f and I live in WI. If that matters.

im 15/m, i got my first tattoo at 14 with a parent. News is that the law was changed from any age w/ a parent to 16 w/ a parent.

You have to 18 without a parent.. With a parent you can get it at 16.. ♥ Dez

I think you have to be 18, but there was a girl in my science class last year who had one and she was 16 or 17.

♥ Some places are different then others. I live in Springfield Illinois and I know you have to be 18. Some places will let you get them if your parent consents but some don't. So it does all depend on where you live and the place you go to.

you have to be 18 if you do not have a parent or gaurdian present when you get it done. if you have someone over 18 that is there you can be under 18.
a tip-be sure youre going to want this all your life because tatoos are harder to get off then they are to get on.
