advice
Tomorrow I'm going to my town's annual carnival. Usually I don't bring a purse, or I leave it in the car, but for personal reasons I'll need to take it with me, & I won't have time to walk to the car every time I need it.
So, any advice on what to do with your purse when you get on a ride? I'd take it on with me, but wouldn't it just fly off the ride or something? Also, I know some ride operators that will hold your things for you, but I'm really untrusting about things like that, & pretty much anyone could just walk up & take it when the operator is distracted. Any advice?
I have a few suggestions.
Is the carnival at night time? It's usually a little chilly at night, so you could wear a jacket with zip pockets and put what you need in them (not to be embarrassing, but I assume you're on your period or something?)
If the jacket idea doesn't work, do you have one of those small draw string backpacks... like those nike bags and stuff. I went to Disney World my senior year & kept a water bottle, sunscreen, and tampons in it while walking around the park.. you know, one of those just in case scenarios. I closed it and put it on my back while walking around & kept it on my back during the ride - very convenient to have, better than a purse for that reason (or even just a small back back should be okay.
If you really do need a purse, make sure it's closed when you're on the ride and put one arm through the shoulder strap and hold on to whatever bar thingy they might have that way the purse can't fall of the ride or anything... it may move a little, but you're basically holding onto it... as long as you're not one of those people who throws their arms in the air during rides - then I have no suggestion for you with that.
When I was younger I had a purse where the shoulder strap part was actually a clip thing.. I used to be able to unstrap it, clip it to my bookbag, beltloop, etc... I bet you could find a cheap one of those... I'd always take it with me to amusement parks because then I could snap it onto the ride & it'd be fine.
(Rating: 5) Thank you. You're right about the period, but it's actually my sister, I just carry her pads with me. Luckily I didn't start, lol. And no, I'm too afraid of dying, so I never raise my arms.
