advice

i have a yankee game tm. box seats, rlly mportant to me, im going with my friend. i have a small cold. my sore throat is going away and i dont mind a stuffy nose but my runny nose will not stop! i drank fluids, like OJ and tea, and chicken noodle soup. im dressed warm even tho its BURNING hot today. im rlly concerned about this yankee game,i seriously wanna go. anything to help stop the runny nose :( please, i really care about going to this game.

I have a cold right now too, and a big dance in a few days, so I can totally relate. Water is what is going to help you the most. Even though you said you already drank tons of fluids, drink more. Drink like you haven't had water in 3 days. (Haha.)

For most people, you will have 1-2 days of a sore throat and runny nose. I think that after the 1st or 2nd day of having a cold, your nose starts to get stuffy. So really, there isn't much you can do about controlling your cold symptoms. Your runny nose could techincally be gone by the time you go to the Yankee game.

You could probably try a nose spray. Maybe ZiCam, if you've heard of it, it's a nose spray and cotton swabs that can help you get over a cold up to 3 times faster.

But, I'm going to tell you the most important thing about being sick: Don't stress out about it. Last week, I was so worried about getting sick, that I MADE myself sick because I was worrying so much. You could make yourself even sicker if you keep worrying about it. Try to stay positive, just keep drinking a lot of water, and remind yourself that colds don't last forever- it will be gone shortly. A runny nose isn't the end of the world, though it may seem like it. (A cold usually does seem like that to me.) So please take my advice, and do the best you can.
