How can I, a female under the age of 16, help abused, neglected, homeless, etc. animals? Every shelter that I;ve heard of requires you to be 16 to voulunteer and I cannot adopt another pet. (I've asked, pleaded, begged). I'm thinking of raising money or donating supplies and setting up boxes at random places around my community (continue with what my girl scout troop started) Any advice or suggestions?

I think it's great that you want to help animals, but please, please don't consider joining PETA.

I started to donate the humane society of the united states, and shortly after I started getting flyers from PETA trying to get me to sign up for their bullshit cause. They lie. The talk about extreme circumstances and lie about them.

Lies are only the nicest part about peta. Just don't get involved with them

I used to volunteer at the Humane Society in my area. While you are correct, and they wouldn't allow anyone under 16 to volunteer, you might want to get a parent to go with you. If you can find a shelter that will let you volunteer if a guardian is with you, then it might not be long before you are able help without a parent.

I'm sorry I couldn't be more help, but I just wanted to answer and try to deter you from considering peta as a so called animal rights group.

ps. peta is evil
