I am no longer giving advice on Advicenators, and have requested that my account be deleted.

I am now giving advice on Askville as ->Peter

If you're looking for good advice here, I suggest you ask YoungGrandma. She's the best.

I don't expect to be checking in on this site again, so if you want to ask me something, see you on Askville!

Good luck!

I know this is going to sound like a very strange question, but I need to know if this is normal and if there is anything I can do. I have trouble reaching orgasm; I always seem to have to "stop" before, as if my body can't handle it. It's the same if I'm alone or with my boyfriend. I know I CAN, it just takes a really long time. Is this typical, and what can I do? Thanks in advance.

I don't believe that it's typical, although everyone is different. Some medications and medical conditions can affect the ability to orgasm, so you should look over the side effects of anything you might be taking.

It might just be that you need more time. But since it's bothering you, you should talk to your OB/GYN or doctor. They may be able to help.

Good luck!

Although I was cognitively aware of the side-effect issue, I hadn't actually thought of it as a possibility for me! Vanity, I suppose. Thank you, I'll take it into consideration.
