My mom and I are really close, and she told me that since I was 16 I could date now. Well I got asked out by this really awesome guy, who I've been friends with for 3 years. And I said yea. Well I told my mom and she freaked. And the reaosn why, is because hes middle eastern. He's not muslim(and even if he was I'd date him), he's not a terroist, his family are not terroists..he just happens to be from Iraq. My mom is saying stuff like "Sure do what you want, get blown up". How can I make her understand that not all people from Iraq are like that!!

I've always wanted to be one. Now I want to be one so bad I'll do anything. After seeing JoJo become a singer and she's only 13, I think I could do it too.

What I need to know is where I can go to shove my singing career off the ground. I've had private lessons on singing, and the only problem is I have stage fright of singing infront of people.

I just need to know 2 things. Places I can take my singing career further, and how to overcome my fear.

Q: OK I'm a 15/f and I'm white.. and my boyfriend's black. It makes no diffrence to me .. I dont care at all but I think my dad does. Eventually he's going to meet my Dad and I'm so afraid of what my Dad's going to say. He doesn't know about my boyfriend yet. Ever since i've been dating my boyfriend, (which is over a year now) I have been smoking pot more and more... I did before that too, but not as much and i am now.

He lives in a rual town, and no one really cares out there, where I live in the suburbs...But last weekend when i was out there, I took the biggest hit ever. Now it hurts to breathe, and I realized that its not the best thing for my body...

It just makes everything so much better. I'm not weak, or insecure, (for the most part) but I just love the feeling.

I have never done, and will never do, any hardcore drugs...

but I really need some advice. I don't want to stop, but I don't want to smoke as much. I'm always around it when I'm with it and sometimes I hate it ...what can I say to him? He understands that I don't like it, but it's his choice you know...I already told him i wouldnt break up with him for it, and I'm too close to him to do somthing like that.

Q: I don't even know where to start. I am so overwhelmed right now and really mad and upset. First, I have been working at my job for three years now. The past couple of months I have noticed and I admit, I have been struggling, trying to stay motivated but it has been hard. I have not gotten a raise for quite a while and recently more work has been plopped on me. I attend school part time and work full time. I have to work. I actually don't mind working, I just know that what I am doing now is not what I want to be doing for the rest of my life. I have not missed work in over two years. In the past few months I have been late numerous times, but lately I have been doing much better. First, I was romantically involved with a guy who is one of my co-workers. The relationship fizzled out last year around this time of year. I wanted a relationship, he wanted just sex. It took some time to figure that out, but once I did, it ended. He never wanted to do anything together, and whenever there was any talk about doing anything together, he would complain about money, and how that is all women want from him. Bear in mind, there was no relationship and I never asked anything of him, it fizzled out about three months later, the usual time it seems that if things go sour, they go sour. Anyway, it hurt for a good couple of weeks and I thought I had come to terms with it until about a week ago. There had been rumours spreading that he was involved with another one of the women I work with, a women who works,often times, with me. He even came in one day and even told me that rumors were spreading, he did not deny it, or admit to anything. I didn't say much, I figured he was possibly trying to get a rise out of me and I played it really cool. Sometimes I can be a really good actress. Anyway, a couple of days ago, he is working on one of the computers in the back office. He is on the internet and is copying stuff off of his email site. He leaves the copies at this public computer at the desk. I was collecting my work and accidently grabbed the paperwork. It was a note from the women to him, saying that she loved him. Now, my brain says, who cares? So why did my heart sink? Why did he leave that around. This is affecting my work. How do I come to terms with this? I thought that even though things did not work out between us, and we have to work together, we could be friends, but now I think he is just a scum bucket. Part 2 is next.

Q: Me and my bf have been together since april but were close friends since june'03. My mum met him Sept'03. Everything was good. She liked him a lot. They would get on really well. Then in April I told her me and him were going out. Her attitude turned completely. She wont talk to him when he comes round. She says hes wrong for me and she says she can see straight thru him and tell that he has a bad character. They have argued. He wont come round anymore so Im usually not at home coz Im with him. She keeps saying 'I bet you're having sex.' Just like that, really spitefully. She keeps making comments. She says if I dont break it up she will. She says stuff about the country he is from even tho my dad is from that country. My dad gets on with him even tho my mum says it hurts him to see me with 'that boy'. My little brother doesnt like him coz my mum says that he makes me cry.
Anyway both my boyfriend and my mum say bad stuff about eachother. My boyfriend says he hates her and makes fun of her. All the stuff they are saying to me is hurting me inside because they are both ppl I care deeply for and are important to me. Its making me really unhappy. I havent really showed it to them. I have only metioned it to them once each. They both said stop feeling sorry for yourself. My mum says if youre so unhappy with him then break up with him. When I told my bf he said sort it out with her. I dont know what to do. Im really unhappy.

Q: My question is I have know this guy for almost fifteen years. We have known each other since the third grade and the whole time I have known him I like more then just a friend. We used to be good friends but in eighth grade he asked me if I wanted to have sex with him and when he asked me I didn't say anything. But after that day we weren't good of friends like we were before because I didn't know how to act around him. But in high school I noticed that he still likes me because I use to catch him looking at me and smiling and sometimes we would smile when ever we looked at each other because we always had a class together through high school.
