ok so, what do you do if you're stuck in this situation:
your dad had an affair for 3 years .. without telling your mom or you or your brothers
sounds bad enough, right?
well .. he's still with the whore and expects me and my brothers to warm up to her... be nice to her .. accept her into the family and what not. oh right, and to add to that: she has a 2 1/2 year old son who is annoying as hell.
she comes with us on vacations, and i know my dad spends the money ...that he needs to 'save' before we're able to buy a BASKETBALL HOOP? ... on her
thats not right.. and i've tried having those long serious chats with him. he thinks i'm just doing what my mother does ... hating her for no reason. she screwed over my whole life, why shouldn't i hate her? ...what should i do? and don't say i should try to like her .. cause thats not happening .. other than that i'm up for any ideas

i totally agree with you. your dad does NOT have his priorities straight. he has his own KIDS and he cares about his girlfriend more than you. it's sick and pathetic. if that was my dad, i wouldn't even WANT to see him. i'd talk to my mom about this and see if theres anything you could do to avoid him. and you SHOULDN'T like your dads girlfriend, she cheated on your dad when he was married with kids. oh yeah, shes a real good person. i think you need to do something serious about this. talk to your mom and brothers. i don't mean to say bad things about your dad, but i just feel so sorry that you have to go through this. i'll keep you in my prayers.

you can stop this by meeting other guys near you. long distance relationships never work out. you need to meet other guys to get over this guy that you miss. talk to your friends because they can help you through alot of things.

i have a boyfriend who i love VERY much. we (his name is corey) went out for 4 months and then we broke up. when we broke up he went out with my best friend and then they broke up. then he went out with my other best friend to try to get over me and things led to other things.... she was moving really fast and he didnt want to get made fun of so he just went along with everything. well she gave him a blowjob. he broke up with her right after because he found out i still liked him. he regretted the whole thing. i was have a really tough time dealing with everything. then i went off to highschool before him *hes a year younger than me* and i got a new boyfriend. i went out with him for 7 and a half months but i didnt want to be with him. we were kinda off and on for a long time. things happened between me and him that i didnt want to happen, but i didnt know how to say no. i never did anythng to him... he did things to me sexually. and then i finally got the courage to break up with him. all my self esteem was gone by now, as u could probably imagine. i still liked corey a LOT and so we started talking again and we got back together. weve been together for over 3 months and i keep thinking about what happened between him and my ex-best friend. i just cant seem to get past it. he regrets ever doing it and he knows how bad it hurt me. we have talked about it, we have cried about it. i just dont know what to do to get over the past. i keep picturing what happened. and corey cant get over it either, he gets upset about it all the time. how do we get over it and what do we do about it? thanks for any advice you can give me.
well you made mistakes in the past just as much as he did. what you did with your new boyfriend was out of line, because if you regret it now then you know it didnt mean anything. he did alot of stupid things too, im sure he regrets it, but you cant take back what happened in the past. instead, if you two still like eachother, move in from here and start over. spend time with the people who really love and care about you. if you are meant to be with this kid then it will happen. it not, then try to remain best friends so you can look out for him so that he wont go too far with other girls. dont go out with other guys if you Love someone else. if it's meant to be then it will come together.

how do i tell someone that is cutting themselves that what they are doing is very dangerous, without a confrontation?
i guarentee that the person who is cutting already KNOWS that what they are going is wrong. but the pain they go through is so bad that they just dont care. in school we learned that if you have a friend who is cutting, tell the guidance counseler and it will be annonymous, and they will lead them into some profession help. you're basically on the right track by saying "without a confrontation" because the last thing they want to hear is their peer telling them its dangerous to cut.
