FunnyCide answered Wednesday December 8 2004, 1:22 am: sad songs wont really help, when i feel down, i like to turn on some really loud music (Relient K usually does the trick) otherwise, i call my best friend and we talk about the day, our feelings and whatnot. she and i are tight, and we understand each other. talking to someone is such a stress reliever, it helps you to get your feelings out and you will feel amazingly better after about an hour or so on the phone with your closest friend. its better to cry on someone elses shoulder than to cry on your own shoulder. ("it seems to get much colder when you cry on your own shoulder" - Relient K - jefferson Areo Plane) it helps to have sympathy. you may need to write your feelings down. that may help too. (i have written more than one 5 page letter to a friend) you may find comfort in sitting down on your bed with a pillow or something (bear, blanket...) and just cry your heart out. everyone goes through stages like this (i guess) but right now you're going through something that you need to share with a friend. i cant give you a good list of sad songs because i dont particurally like emo songs, and i dont listen to them on a regular basis. i think rock music is a lot better to lift the mood and help settle the spirit out so that it is more even. (believe me - i have seen it first hand, you can cry over rock music) if you need a place to get rock music or some songs, ask away, i'm sorry that i dont know of any emo pop songs, hope your spirits are lifted soon!

What I think you should do is take a close friend and have a long talk with her. Trust me it will be a whole lot better if you are crying against someone's shoulder then to the lyrics of a song.
I find that the radio is really bad everything will feel bad; mainly if you are in the mood then you will find a whole lot of songs sad
My Immortal by Evanescense
Beyond Beautiful by Aero Smith (this just might be me but it made me cry)
These Kids by Joel Turner
Predictable by Good Charlotte
Someday by Nickleback
My Boo- Alicia Keys and Usher
OMG i can't remember any of them... *sigh anyway- you probabley don't regconise any of them anyway but seriously just turn on the radio like a count down and you will bawl your eyes out. The number of times I think that the radio is against me and purposely targetting me is crazy. But I guess it really depends on why you are sad. Then there are just some songs that have bad memories associated with them- I have a Jessica Simpson song which I never want to hear again- everyone's different. But be warned songs have this weird affect on us you should find a friend to talk to [ Shaylee's advice column | Ask Shaylee A Question ]
