dreamingkat answered Monday December 6 2004, 10:39 pm: Hrmmm.... If my girlfriend got me boxers I would laugh and wear them next time I expected to be undressing around her. If she got me a shirt I would stick it into the clean clothes rotation. I'm allergic to most perfumes and colognes, so I would thank her but let her know that I was allergic to them. I would have actually gotten a stuffed bear from my girlfriend on valentines day - it's been claimed by the baby, but it was sitting on my bookshelf until he grabbed it. As for "nothing", what's the occasion? I've told people that their birthday or yule-tide presents are a back-rub or a kiss before when money was short.
I can't tell if your the girlfriend looking for something to get a boyfriend, or a boyfriend who's trying to determine what the appropriate reaction to a gift is, or just someone randomly querying the advice columnists, so I can't actually give you any advice. xxxxxx answered Monday December 6 2004, 10:06 pm: boxers arent really a thoughtful gift. a shirt CAN be if he really wants it. i personally think cologne is a GREAT gift for a guy. i dont think a bear is a good idea, because what GUY wants a bear? its more of a girl thing. and you should at least get him something if you know he's getting you something.
