ok this teacher is crushing me, before this.. no teacher had ever made me cry.. ever, im not that sensitive.. but this teacher has made me cry a total of 4 times - and i've only had her once a week since september!!

i used to have such a great confidence when it came to oral assignments.. and speech in general.. now.. i cant give a speech without crying before, and i always end up messing up. I used to get all sorts of awards for being a great public speaker - now im failing all oral assignments i've been giving. SHE HAS COMPLETELY ERASED MY CONFIDENCE.. and it all started with har calling my speech boring, telling me i spoke to quickly, i stuttered too much..she just had sooo much to complain about.. yet to the rest of the class.. she was sweet and gave them all (almost) great grades. now the semester is over, finally, and i was given the lowest grade in the class. i cry about it all the time.. and i have a fear of public speaking.. something i used to be AWESOME at..

what do i do?? get a privte tutor to help me get my confidence back? talk to a counselor?? or just forget about it??

teachers can either make you or break you. she might be trying to push you to the edge, because she knows your not at your full potential. or this teacher might be just a bad teacher. before each oral assignment, just breathe in and out, and concentrate on someone. prove her wrong, and show that you can do it! if it gets worse, i would talk to either a counselor, and/ or your parents.

I made a new friend this year. We've became very close but she's a Jahovah's Witness (I hope I'm spelling this right). If y'all don't know, they are Christians but don't *celebrate* christmas. So, would it be inappropriate of me to get her a christmas gift?

i have the same problem. two of my friends are Jahovah's Witnesses. I figured that I probably should not get them christmas gifts, because that is totally against their religion.
Ask her what else she celebrates, and get her a gift on that day!

for your friends that are girls-
get them each mini liglosses, lotions, and nailpolish/ nail files. put them into a little tote bag, or a purse. those wil probably cost about 7 dollars each.

for your guy friends, get them a magazine, sports calander, and / or a little bottle of cologne.

you can get most of that stuff at walmart, cvs, brookes, kmart, etc.

for yourself-
ask for makeup, lip gloss, nailpolish, cd's, ipod cases(if u have an ipod), shoes, and gift certificates!

for my 13th birthday which is on 25th december, im getting the top of my right ear peirced and i was just wondering do i use a proper earring or can i use a body bar?? bcoz my mate has her ear pierced in the middle of her ear and she uses a body bar.

you should use a proper earring when you first get the piercing. after the piercing is pretty much permanet, then you can move on to body bars, and other types of earrings. start simple!

Hey everyone :) I extremely need to know this..Okay! Do any of you guys remember a show on FOX (i think), with a single dad and like 5 or 6 boys of his. I think their mom died. Its not Quintuplets i know that. I think it came out like 2 years ago and it wasnt on very long. The name of it is like on the tip of my tongue and i cant remember!! What exactly is an unlocked phone?

Can somebody explain what exactly the point is?

its easier to understand a locked phone first. it is a setting where the owner makes a code and then if you dont enter the code at the main screen, you can not do anything. you cant do anything until you figure out the code. this is usually used when your in a big city, or when your phone could get lost easily. an unlocked phone doesnt need a code to enter the screens. hope i helpedddddddd !

i think that they smell a lot alike, but i can smell a litttle bit of a difference. either way they smell really good!

My ipod has been frozen all day now. I've had it since Christmas '04 and this has never happened to it before. It's stuck on a song, and I've tried EVERYTHING. I've tried resetting it, tried all thr buttons, tried plugging it in to my computer, tried charging. Yet its still stuck. Has this ever happened to anyone else before? What can I do?
BTW, it's an iPod mini if that helps. And I've never had problems with it prior to this.

My bestfriends birthday is coming up in about a month, but i want to do something really special for her.Shes always saying that how she does stuff for other people but she didnt get anything for her past 2 birthdays. Which is true, so i want to do something that she would love. For my other best friend we went out to lunch and then had a sleep over. I want to do something like that.

i think you should throw her a suprise party that is beach themed! also, get her some hawaiian beaded necklaces. at the party, give out leis, and hula skirts. have limbo, and give out prizes. have her over for a sleepover and take her to the mall! make sure you take lots of pictures at the party, and maybe make a scrapbook?

13/f 8th grade

all the guy at my school go for looks in a girl....that's it! that is sooo wrong! as they get older will they change and start realizing that looks don't matter....or will they always be like that?

eventually this should change. when going through highschool, all the boys want the "hott girlfriends." they mostly want them just for impressing people. when they get through high school though, they will begin to realize who their real loves are and who wont do anything for them!

Ok so in my english class we have to present a speech thats 2 minutes long... I know I know, its not that long..... but when it comes to presentations and speeches i get sooooooooo nervous!!!!!!!!!! ANY TIPS ON HOW TO CONQUER THIS FEAR??????? please and thank you.

i had to do the same thing,but mine had to be 5-6 minutes long. when you read your speech just think about how you have known your class for so long, so even if you mess up it will be no big deal. also, when you present your speech, look at one person or the wall, so you can concentrate on something to help keep your mind off of it. just talk slowly and carefully and you will be fine!
