i think you should throw her a suprise party that is beach themed! also, get her some hawaiian beaded necklaces. at the party, give out leis, and hula skirts. have limbo, and give out prizes. have her over for a sleepover and take her to the mall! make sure you take lots of pictures at the party, and maybe make a scrapbook?

hope i helped=]

That sounds like you guys are really close and have a special friendship. Throwing a suprise party is always a great way to give someone a special birthday they'll never forget. You could make a video for her and give her a special message or you if you're into the crafty stuff you could make a scrapbook and decorate it really nicely and put in there tickets from concerts you went to, photo's of you guys, and write in special memories that you two had together; like how you met or something like that. I always like handmade presents because it means the person who made it has taken a lot of thought and effort for making it for YOU! It may take a little time but it's for a best friend, right?! I had a look on Google and wow, there were so many sites you could go to I can't list them all here. Just type in 'best friend birthday ideas' and have a look at the list. There's quite a few!

Best of luck with this and I hope I could help you. If you need anymore help with art/craft ideas (making cards, wrapping paper, scrapbooks etc.) by hand feel free to leave me a message in my inbox or email me because I would be more than happy to help! Hope it goes well for you!

That lunch and sleepover idea is nice.
If you want to do something extra special for her, how about buying disposable cameras and spending the morning taking artistic photographs? Give then to a one-hour developing place and eat while you wait. Then fetch the photos and go over to wherever you're having a sleepover. Pick out the good pictures and make frames for them. Then give them to the birthday girl.
