To make my love life over the course of high school short, 8th grade I dated a guy (for 6 months) who was an airhead. Freshman to sophomore year I dated a guy (1 year) who was mentally/physically abusive and also raped me. I should also mention he took my virginity. I ended sophomore year on a bad note of one night stands that were alcohol induced out of depression. I started junior year off by dating the same airhead from 8th grade until we ended it about 2 months ago (I'm now a senior).
I feel myself slipping back into what happened to me sophomore year (drunk hookups based off of my need for intimacy). Often guys that I'm friends with will ask why I hate hugs, hand holding, any form of touching. I can't stand to be touched by guys, that is unless I'm drunk. I never used to be this way until I dated the guy who abused me, and it continued into my relationship with the airhead I dated. I don't want to believe that I'll be this way forever...but it's been 2 years and I'm still not okay. I'm going off to college in the fall and it's hard for me to not think of how dating in college is twice as fast as high school. The steps of holding hands or cuddling will be skipped over completely for just sex. I need to fix my issues but I just don't understand how therapy could teach me to like hugs or to be ticklish again. The only person in my life who knows that I have this issue is my best friend and she says I should go to therapy...but I just don't see the use. I just want to set things back.
What you're feeling is very common in rape victims. The best thing you can do is get help. You have to start the healing process to help you recover, and not a lot of people can fully heal alone. See a therapist, contact RAINN (http://www.rainn.org/), who has a web-based crisis hotline, or just talk to anyone who can help you. There are plenty of things you can do to get help. I know you don't see the use for therapy, but it's a tremendous help, and I know this from experience. Also, I'd like to recommend this site: http://pandys.org/forums/. It's a site for rape and sexual assault survivors, and it has a section specifically for relationship violence and sexual assault. If the way you're acting is caused by something in your childhood and not from your experience with your ex, a therapist can help you get to the bottom of it.

Ok so stupidly me and my boyfriend had sex whilst on my period (obviously it was in the time i wasnt taking birth control pills) Ive looked online and im worrying because I saw that the birth control pill can kill a baby when your pregnany, seriously harm it or cause miscariages.
What if I am pregnant? We only had sex 2 days ago so I wont be able to take a pregnacy test but If I am pregnant I dont want to harm the baby. Im meant to be taking the pill starting today.. I dont know what to do. Should I stay off it until I take a test? I am still on my period atm and the only thing that makes me stop my period is the pill. I dont know when I can take a test to find out... does anybody know?
Call your doctor. They can tell you what to do about the pill. I've heard you can take a pregnancy test after about 10 days, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Your doctor can give you advice on that, too.

this might be kinda long so bear with me :)
i have just realized that the main reason why i dont get along with girls my age and dont even get any of them, is not because of me, its because of how they are. i realized that american girls are pretty much sluts, stereotypical, materialistic, insincere, self-centered, and only care about a guy with eitehr a full-on sixpack, or a guy with a ton of money. (Sorry, american women, that's just my opinion.)
i know this might not matter to me, or it shouldnt, but im only 16 years old and in high school, but i've dont some traveling to different countries to see what its like, and what people are like. I went to thailand last summer and all i can say about the people, wow. The men are so patient and calm and peaceful, the women are even the same. they are sincere, always smiling, and always helpful instead of just giving you attitude and scoffing in your face and rolling their eyes.
I went to england and the people there are so civilized. its so different that its unbelievable. The brits dont talk out loud and dont have attitude and dont confront random people in the park about whats bothering them. Its really comforting to be around them, same with Canadians.
i KNOW that you guys might think im being superficial, and kinda stupid like (everybodys different, nationality does change anything) but teh truth is, it does. All of the TV shows in america like, the real world, jersey shore, rock of love, and all of those reality shows influence american girls to dress like the people they see on tv, AND, act like them. Where as in England or parts in Canada, the tv doesnt broadcast so many graphic things as they do in America, And its not only TV, its the radio, music, movies, etc.
i'm actually considering moving to england or to ontario after i graduate high school next year for this reason, just to be in a betetr surrounding, instead of being scared to death in my southern california home wondering if some crook is gonna break into my car.
Again, SORRY to you people who think this is directed to you, its just my opinion. i know this was long, but i appreciate some advice, and some comments. And dont try to talk me out of moving out of the country, ive thought long and hard about it and made up my mind. Thank you!
I really don't know what advice you need, since you didn't ask a question and you've already made up your mind about leaving, but I'll give you my opinion. Please don't think I'm being rude, because I'm not. I'm just going to be honest. First, you live in Cali, so I'm assuming you're an American, so correct me if I'm wrong. Does that make you a stereotypical materialistic, insincere, self-centered slut? No, it doesn't. Because it really doesn't matter what country you're from. Yes, the area you're raised in can influence your attitude and the way you act, but there are rude and violent people everywhere, in every country. That's why there are crimes in every country, not just America. I know you said that nationality does matter, but do you have any proof of that, or is it just an opinion? I'd like to direct your attention to this article from 2009: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1196941/The-violent-country-Europe-Britain-worse-South-Africa-U-S.html. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but whether it's accurate or not, it should still give you an idea that these countries can be dangerous as well. If not, you can also look at some news websites for different countries to hear about some of the crimes committed there. I'm not saying these countries are more violent than America, I'm just saying that you get bad people and crimes everywhere. And I can say that I am certainly not a slut, or any of the other things you've mentioned. I hate that you've had these experiences, though, but can I recommend you visiting some other cities in states in America to see if you can actually meet some good people?
I'm not going to tell you not to move because if you're not comfortable in this country, then you should absolutely move somewhere where you will feel safe, but don't think that everyone here is rude and stuck-up, because not everyone is. Also, my guy doesn't have a six-pack or a ton of money, but I still love him and wouldn't want anyone else.

For the longest time iv'e debated whether or not
i should do online classes but i'm not sure what the steps or process would be to take classes..so can anyone explain in detail what i'd have to do in order to take online classes if i chose to :)
I already have a college so i wouldn't need to choose one
Thank you
I take online college classes. What I did was I contacted the school and told them I was interested, they called me back and we talked about it, and they sent me a bunch of forms to fill out. Then, when you're accepted, you go to the FAFSA website (if you're in the US) and apply for financial aid. Your school will tell you everything you need to do and help you if you need it.

I am a 14/f and my boyfriend of one week is 17/m. My star sign is cancer and his is capricorn... Are we compatible?
Different people have different opinions on this. Some say cancers and capricorns don't make good partners, other say they can, but it'll take work. Either way, you can't rely on astrology to find a good partner for you. I dated a guy who's sign was supposed to be perfect for mine, but it was a terrible relationship. I'm with a guy now whose sign is supposed to be extremely incompatible with mine, but the relationship is amazing. If you like this guy, don't worry about your star signs.

Five years ago i saw a documentary on NYC and it's faults. it said 95 years ago there was world's worst earthquake that killed millions because they weren't expecting it & all of the skyscrapers collapsed. My Choir is going on a broadway trip to see a broadway show in nyc, and i am VERY scared that tehre will be an earthquake because it has now been exactly 100 years since the last major EARTHQUAKE. soo idk if it was true, but i heard that they were expecting such a big Earthquake thatt it will effect pensylvania and more than half of the east coast. Because of Haiti, Chile, iceland, norway, The volcano etc i'm scared that there will be an earthquake the day we go to nyc help asap.
It's almost impossible (if not completely impossible) to predict when an earthquake is going to happen. People can make all the predictions they want, but there's still no way of knowing for sure. I know how you feel, earthquakes scare me, too, but you can't live in fear of one for the rest of your life. This will keep you from being able to fully enjoy yourself. Go on the trip, and have fun. If you're really worried, look online for some online safety tips so you can get some ideas on how to be safe if one occurs.

so my soon to be sister-in-law and i were friends in college prior to her and my brother's relationship. at the beginning of their relationship after a long day of drinking she left me a voice mail about how she had sex with my brother, came over to me and said that i needed to listen to it, i played the message but due to the surroundings i was unable to hear it, so she decided to scream out in front of 10 of my close friends that she had sex with my brother last night and it was good. since that day i had no need to entertain her. when they would come back to where i went to school they would stay with me for free, and ditch me every chance they got even though they were going out with all of our mutual friends. that was were i decided she was dead to me. but after 3 more years of hating each other and the first Christmas after my grandfather passed, i felt like if she made him happy i needed to suck it up and be nice to her, and supportive of their relationship. once they got into town, i apologized to her for being a rude over the years, she apologized for the same behavior on her part. well now its 5 months after the amends, i still feel like she's still fighting with me. what do i do now??
Sit her down and talk to her about it. There's obviously something that she feels like you two haven't worked out yet, so ask her about it. Tell her again that you're sorry for what happened in the past, and you want things to be okay between the two of you, but you feel like she's still not over what happened.

my bf randomly broke up with me because he needed space and time.He told me im the most amazing girl he's ever met and that im his first real girlfriend and ive put him through the relationship experience but now he sees me as a friend and wants to go out and experience his "high school life". We are on good terms and still hangout once in a while, but im still crazy for him.I can't stop thinking about him and i want to get over him or atleast show that im over him! tips!?
It's going to take some time to really get over a relationship, especially one that ends like this. The best thing you can do is focus on yourself. Go out with your friends and have fun. Find a hobby or something you can do to keep yourself entertained and your mind off of him. Cry when you need to, find someone you can vent to, and you may want to put away anything that reminds you of him. If you don't want to get rid of it permanently, put it in a box in your closet until you're ready to face those things again. And while I think it's great that you two are still friends, you may need to take a break from hanging out with him. At least for a little while.

Every day I wake up, I have to think about a reason why not to commit suicide. I am married with children. I love my wife and my kids, but, the only reason I havent' commited suicide, is because I feel guilty about the financial burden it would cause. I have a spinal chord disease and every day is a struggle with unbearable pain and constant medication. I feel my wife is getting tired of me and my illness. My illness has caused me to lose my job and my home, I am bankrupt, I don't have a job or an income. What do I have to live for???? I just don't know what to do or what purpose there is to my life. I really wish God could just give me the strength to do it, so that I don't continue to suffer anymore. My relationship with my wife has deteriorated to the point where she doesn't respect me and, she's probably cheating on me...I wouldn't blame her if she is....Who wants to be with a cripple??? No one does. I really need to hear the right words, so that I can just get it done!!! I don't want to live anymore, but I just don't feel like I have the stregth to go through with it. I need to find a way so that I can do it without feeling guilty. Can you tell me how, please?
I am so sorry you're going through this. I can't even imagine how hard it must be for you, but think about your kids. Imagine how they would feel without their father, especially knowing that their father committed suicide. Plenty of people aren't shallow, and want to be with someone based on who they are, not whether or not they're crippled. I know things are hard, but I promise it will get better. Everyone goes through hard times, and I hate that yours are so terrible, but you have to be strong. If you can just keep hanging on and doing the best you can, you'll set an amazing example for your kids, and I'm sure they'll admire your strength.

okay sorry this is long
my best friend introduced me to this guy she likes (they've meet in real life) via the internet. We had talk a little but no anything major, then yesterday; my friend went on MY facebook account and he started talking to her thinking it was me. I was on her at the time and i started a conversation with him (him knowing it was me) He told me a was the perfect girl for him, ive never meet him in real life so it was kinda odd. When we went back to are own accounts she saw are whole conzo and was crushed , she pretended to be amused by it.
We all had a three way convo on msn, and i really do think he likes me.
What should i do????Hes really sweet and i love his personality
If your friend likes him, you really shouldn't do anything. You could try to take it to the next level, but you're risking your friendship by doing so if she likes this guy. Think about how you would feel if she did this to you. In the end, you need to decide what you'd rather have: your friendship, or this guy.

well i was drunk. nd my "friends" held me down (tied me down) and let his dog go to town on my vagina.. wat do i do?
Oh, wow. That is just horrible. This is sexual assault. First off, stop hanging out with these so called "friends". Friends don't do that kind of stuff, and you're much better off without them. Second, you can press charges for this, but without evidence, the police might not be able to do anything unless your friend/s admit to this. Finally, if you're feeling depressed or anything because of this, see a therapist, or a sexual assault group.

the other night I was with my boyfriend and we were laying on his couch watching a movie when this came to mind: we have been going out for around 6 months and haven't made out yet and we hardly ever kiss. I am the kind of girl that likes the guy to make the first move, and what I am wondering is; why is he being so cautious or as my friends say "like a freezer"?
It could be a number of things. He could be nervous, afraid that you'll reject him. Or, he could just not be fully comfortable with affection. As weird as it is, some people are like that. You can talk to him about it, or you can just go ahead and make the first move. I know you like the guy to do that, I'm like that, too, but sometimes guys wait for girls to make the first move. So, if you're both sitting there waiting for the other one to do something, it'll never happen. Go for it.

My grandmother things i have a beautiful voice. I think i sing best on slow songs, but my grandmother says , " The best thing about your voice is your personality." She wants me to sing fast songs. do you know any?
Hi, sorry about the delay in answering your question. This really depends on what kind of music you like. Judging from my grandmother's taste, some of the music from the 50's has a good beat, and you can still show off your beautiful voice while singing it. The Supremes were pretty popular, and had beautiful voices as well as fairly upbeat songs. But there are so many other fast songs you could sing from all different decades, as well as recent songs. However, it would take me a long time to list them, so your best bet is to think of some of your favorite bands and singers and listen to their music until you find some that you really like to sing.

what do i do if the child im watching is being very bad and decides to get her head stuck in the stair rails
should i leave her for being bad
plaese say yes
thanx
Absolutely not. I know babysitting is stressful, trust me, and I really hope this question is just a joke, but if the child gets her head stuck in the stair rails, you need to help her immediately. It can be extremely dangerous to leave her there.

what is cervical cancer and how do u get it
Cervical cancer is a cancer that starts in the cervix, which is in the lower uterus. It is usually caused by HPV, a virus that is very common and is spread through sexual intercourse. Not all strains of HPV cause cervical cancer, though. Getting regular pap smears is a good thing if you're worried about getting cervical cancer because, if spotted early enough, it is treatable.

my question is when you're taking the driving test is it awkard? like are you supposed to talk? or will the instructor talk to you or what?
are you allowed to turn on the radio?
ect.
thanks a lot!
Talking really depends on who your instructor is. I've had friends who talked to their instructor the whole time, while others didn't say a word. It really doesn't matter either way. I agree with the saying hello and everything, but your instructor is going to be grading you on your driving, not your communication skills.
As for the radio, I would keep it off. Your instructor will probably be giving you directions, so you'll want to make sure you can hear him or her and won't be distracted.

my question is, im going on a diet, exercising and everything and i was wondering about those low fat frozen meals. I tried the healthy choice and those are so disgusting. no flavor or anything =P do you know any good healthy meal brands??! Thanks!
In my experience, you can't just write a brand off because one meal is bad. Healthy choice isn't great, I'll admit, but a lot of these brands have some meals that are amazing, while others are disgusting. Check out this site: http://heateatreview.com/ They review microwaveable food and provide the nutrition info.

on AIM some of my friends won't go Idle and they'll be away for a really long time and sometimes even a day. Do you know how I can do that?
I thought it said will go idle. Sorry. I'm pretty sure you can set it as away, and go to settings and there should be something about when to go idle, and you might be able to turn it off there.

So you know how there is one town. Is there any way to get more than one town like the rest of the games or is it just this one you have to play in? Thanks
There's a free town on the sims 3 official site, called Riverview. Also, other sims 3 users have created towns that you can download and play. You can find a list of a lot of them here: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/162095.page

alright i am a little confused with my sexual appetite. i love pain in the bedroom like real pain. is that wrong? i am afraid that my boyfriend will not be able to handle the things i like but i do love him. how can i find out if he is into without freaking him out?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. In fact, this is pretty common. As for talking about it with your boyfriend, you could try what I do with guys I date. Sit down and kind of playfully ask him what his fantasies are. From there, he'll probably ask about yours, and you can try to ease into it. Also, during the talk, you could try to ask him what his opinions are on a few different sexual things so that you'll know what he wants and what he is and isn't okay with, then throw in the pain thing and see how he responds. If he decides to try it, start off slow at first with a few minor things, like maybe him scratching you or gently biting, then if you're both still comfortable, take it a step further each time. Who knows, he may even like it, too. Good luck.
