I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.

Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.

Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.

Well,i am on birth control,which i take everyday obviously and i havent forgotten a day.
I have taken it a few hours later than my set time on some occasions,but i DID take it before the day was over.[i usually take mine at 8:30 pm]
Lately ive been feeling nauscious and have had head aches and waking up in the middle of the night from night sweats and you get the picture..
I do have unprotected sex frequently ,so what are the chances that im pregnant or am i just experiencing a little sickness or virus?

Well, you need to type your specific birth control into your search engine and find it's site. From there you need to look up the side effects.

There is always a chance of pregnancy with birth control, but they are very slim chances. It is most likely a side effect, but you need to research that.
You can also call your pharmacist and ask questions about it. Their phone number is right there on your prescription label.

Even though you are on birth control, the wisest thing you can do for yourself is ALWAYS practice safe sex by using a condom. It is the only thing that protects you from STDs. Not saying your partner has STDs, but you DON'T KNOW, and it is best to get into the habit now so you STAY in the habit.

if you have split ends and you split them is that bad for your hair?does blow drying your hair really cause split endds?

Heat damages hair.
You need to get your split ends cut, or your hair will break off and keep splitting.
Your hair is dry and damaged, so it is always a good idea to get a good deep conditioning treatment to use once a week if you use heat on your hair or chemically treat it.

hey. well i'm 15/f, and until about last month, i've never really known what i wanted to do for a job when i get older. not some mcdonalds job now, but like a job when i'm like 25. One of my favorite shows is Cold Cases, the one where they investigate old crime cases. well, i'd really enjoy doing something like that when i get older. but how do you get into that?? do those ppl have a certain name or do they just work for the police department? i really want to do that when i get older, but how long do you have to be in college for that? what do i have to do exactly?? and is there any websites that explain that line of work?? thanks!!

Why do girls feel the need to go out of their way to attempt to steal other's boyfriends? I don't mean these two week or one month relationships, I'm talking about 1 year+ relationship. They feel or have this extreme confidence, that they believe they can win over the guy. I just don't get it. Shouldn't they be happy that guys find them attractive and want to be with them? It's irritating me. I'm trying to be happy in my relationship but when all of these girls think my guy will cheat.. it's just.. asldkhlds! I don't know WHY i'm jealous. i don't go to his school but these chicks like him. he obviously doesn't get it sometimes. the little things she does.. irritates me. like when she sits in between his legs sometimes. not close, but in the middle. What am I to do? I just want her to back off.. How can I stop being jealous? =[ I trust him, but not these chicks.

Well, if you trust him, then these girls don't matter. If he cheats with them, it isn't because they twisted his arm to do so.

Some girls who CAN have every other guy they want to have, want your guy because he is a challenge. I think a girl like that has an inner competition to try to get what she CAN'T have.

I can't give you a sure-fire way to not be jealous (I'm the jealous type, myself), but it may help to keep in mind that you can be proud of yourself for having a guy so great EVERYBODY wants him.

Okay so this is a bit of a weird question maybe, but bare with me.

I go to forums alot...so I have tons of posts. Nothing really to be ashamed of in them, but still.

But my question is just as the title says. Does content on the internet stay there forever?

Like if a forum got deleted would the posts still be *somewhere* online? Or if I searched in 20 years, even if the forum is closed down, could I still find my posts?

XD aaah this is bothering me so much.

They always say be careful what you put on the web. Don't put crazy pictures of yourself online that may come back to haunt you later in life.
I don't know if it is actual fact, but I have heard that multiple times.

I really want to become a citizen of the United States (before I turn 18), but my dad won't let me, and he is the head of the household so my mom's opinion doesn't count.

I am 16, turning 17 in March. I moved to the USA (California) when I was 6, and lived here and only here ever since. We have a Green card, and are pernament residents of the United States. I love America, and I would really love a dual citizenship (USA and Russia, which I am already a citizen of). I plan to start voting as soon as I turn 18, and I know I will be very active in politics.

Can I become a US citizen even though my dad is completely against it and I'm a minor? He says I can make that choice when I am 18, but then its not free, and I will have to pass a test. And doesn't it get harder to become a citizen once you're an adult?

Please help me, I will rate accordingly.

Ok so i'm trying to lose weight but i have a question so here it goes whats is the maximum amount of weight i could lose in a week and month if i powerwalk for an hour a day which for me is usualy about 2 miles maybe more and i eat really healthy like organic foods and only drink water, milk, or some juice? also someone said that people who are overweight lose weight fast at first when they start doing that but as you have less fat to lose you lose weight slower if that makes sense is this true?

Yes, when you are overweight you lose OK for a while then tend to hit a plateau. They say the best thing for that is to change to a different exercise routine. Say for example, you power walk- switch to aerobics or something.

They say 4 pounds per week is the safest way to lose weight. It is healthier to lose just a little at a time, plus you run less of a risk of gaining it all back.

I really ned some remedies for congestion! My mom is sick and she has this big business thing friday and she is hosting it and needs help!!! prefer home remedies and natural suff but i will take medicine too! she is just really trying to rest her body and clear up her congestion in her nose. plus she had a bad headache today. please help ASAP!!! What I found to work well for congestion is those Sudacare Shower Soothers. They are tablets you put on the shower floor while you are in the shower. The water runs on them causing them to work.

Now, they are awfully strong- they make my eyes water- but they do help a lot with head/nasal congestion. They don't work as well with chest congestion, but it does help break it up enough to feel better.

I got my period on November 1st, it was like really really light. maybe just a splotch. Then on second day, i only had like hardly any. Then on third day, i had brown discharge, and some more came, but once again. a splotch. Then the fourth day, i dont think I had any. So my period lasted for 4 days. Now its erm. Nov. 28, im expecting it this week maybe. But it didnt come so far. Is this normal?

You are 13. Your menstrual cycle is far from regulated. This is normal.
Now, if it doesn't come for months or LASTS for weeks, then you should set up an exam with your doctor just to be on the safe side.

Razhie gave excellent advice on this. It is something HE needs to take care of. He needs to make a bigger effort to put a stop to this behavior.

It sounds to me like he is either A) letting her do it, or B) he needs to grow a pair and tell her to get lost.

We have a snowball( high school semiformal dance) coming up soon. I bought a dress for it quite awhile ago, and since then I've gained weight. Does anyone know of a any good corset/girdle type things what could help me look skinnier in my dress to help it fit better? thanks

Since we are all designed differently, your best bet would be to go shopping around in stores so you can try them on.
Take your dress with you so you can put it on and make sure the girdle/corset will make it fit. Any good clothing/lingerie store will allow you to do this.
They are expensive, so you don't want to get one that ends up not doing the task you need it to do.

I am 17 years old and will be when I graduate, I live in California.

Legally can I move out of my house after I graduate? I have very, very good reasons however my mom will fight it just to be spiteful. Will I legally be allowed to leave?

You are still a legal minor until you are 18 years of age.
If your mom doesn't want you to leave at 17, there really isn't a lot you can do.
I suppose you can go through the court system and what not, but is that really worth it in the long run? No. You would be 18 before you could even do anything with that.
Best bet is to wait it out until you are a legal adult (18).
Try not to rush yourself- one day you will wish back for the days when you were comfortable, safe, and secure at home.

Well, if you plan to maintain a relationship with any guy you need to be able to tell them how you feel about things.
Don't be afraid to ask him for some alone time. It's not just intimacy that is an issue with never being alone with one another, but it is hard to REALLY get to know someone when you are always running with a pack.
I mean, how can you ever get to know one another on a level where you share your secrets and desires?
So the best thing you can do is tell him you want to spend some one on one time with him.

well. i guess ill start from the begining. this girl that i've loved for idk how long, few years i guess(yes im a dude)has been goin out with this one dude from another town. well me and this girl has went out, and she told me she loved me and all that good stuff, but later on she broke it off cuz her parents doesnt really like me. so she goes out with this one dude, from another town, doesnt get to see him alot. then i hear today that the dude cheated on her, and that she found out last night. heard that from her brother. wel we start talkin about it, then he tells me, that he doesnt get why shes still goin out with him. (that part almost kills me)so i suck it up you know, and head to class
well on the way to class, i saw her. and i looked at her, the girl looked like she was about to cry. and damn that bothered me. still does. so like why does that bother me.?

Well it bothers you because you hate seeing some jerk hurt her like that.
Just be a shoulder for her to lean on during this time. If she ever needs a friend, it is at times like this.

She'll figure out her life in due time. If this guy isn't right for her, she will eventually accept that and move on.
