Hi :D. I've been interested in becoming an actress, and i take musical theater,so i think i'm ready to actually try getting a small part in movies for starters. I would like to know if you know any agencies around Boston, MA? or those places that get you recognized. and if you've been to one, whats it like? any tips? haha, thanks a lot! :D
lilmzhotstuff answered Thursday November 29 2007, 12:47 am: well if you feel confident about yourself and you feel your ready to move on to the big screen then go for it! I was involved in acting a few months ago but i had to stop because it wasnt working out with my school scheduel and all but to tell you the truth, it is really fun once you start getting roles. and the more roles you get the more confident you feel about yourself. Some people get cockyand stuck-up when they get major roles so if you ever do get a big role, i suggest you try and stay the way you are. unfortunately i dont live in Boston so i cant really help you there but i do have some tips on how to get the producers to notice you and have you come to their callbacks. tip #1: if your shy because its your first audition, dont show or act the least bit the way you feel! that is an automatic turn-off for the producers. i learned that the hard way. tip#2:Be unique in your own way! make them like you for you and not some glamour stage girl act you put on in front of the camera. Save that for when you get the role. and tip#3:act confident and smile. be loud and when you're waiting to get called in dont try and put some other girl who is auditioning for a part feel like doggie doo-doo! it just makes you seem like an overly-confident b**ch.
well hope this help! let me know how the acting goes for you. good luck on finding an agency and getting headshots!
lots of luck in the entertainment industry!
