I'm Almedina. I'm foreign, and I'm pretty much ready to handle whatever life throws at me. Ha, pretty random that I go from being foreign to life,but anyways. I've had this column for about two yearsnow, and I don't update it as I should, or want to but with school and this crazy teenage life of mine, it gets pretty hard to do so. I've been giving advice to all my friends since I can remember and I love trying to help them. I'm out going and extrememly loud once you get to know me. I'm usually shy at first unless I've gotten to know you. I don't understand life sometimes. But I've got my whole life to figure out the meaning of it. I'm selfish at times, and stubborn. I care too much about things I shouldn't and not enough about the MOST important things in my life. I'm very annoyed with people at times, and tend to just block everyone out. I'm afraid to say I'm in love, but I'm not afraid of love itself. I'm myself and that's all I can be. I've gone through a lot, so I'm willing to help in whatever way I can (:

does anyone know any fun different rules for playing socialbles?

I've never played the game, but what you can do is just make up your own rules for it. That way it'll be more exciting.

Okay I personally am a dark person. I love vampires and reading musty books and listening to goth music and I like wearing the color black. Now heres the problem my mom won't let me buy black clothes and I don't know what to do. She won't let me get black nail polish or let me wear eyeliner but I really want to. What should I do? Also my room is really disgusting. In the morning I have very very very very light pink walls and in the evening it looks coffee with creme curtains how do I make it look more gothic or punk. I really want to show my mom that I'm not a normal kid and that she can't change it.

Just tell your mom that's who you are. It's kind of like coming out of the "closet" but not in that way. Tell your parents that's who you are, and they can't change that. And if the object, just keep doing what you are. After a while, they'll realize you are serious and they should let you be.

That does sound sort of gothic, but you could try a dark blue or a dark purple comforter instead of green unless you want your bed to stand out.

okay well i just started school 3 days ago on wednesday. the 6th. and ive been talking to this kid whos a softmore & im a freshman . and we like talk all the time. were always flirting && hes like asking to go out sometime. do u tihnk he likes me or should i wait & see how things go

He ovibously likes you since he flirts with you and wants to hang out with you. Go hang out with him sometime but be careful becuase he knows your younger and he might try to take advantage.

Alright well, I love you too :] Okay well this is going to be really hard to answer because you`re in a tough situation. You`re friends are just trying to do what they feel is whats best for you. You`re friends probably have a reason as to why they don`t want you going out with him. I know who this is and I kinda do think it would be best if you just let the feelings cool down a bit so you both could get a bit of a break to recope everything that has been going on. I mean you should still should keep in touch and hang out but don`t let your world revolve around on him being on your mind. Let the summer flow by and see how everything goes. Good luck babe :]

Hmm, blue eyes are pretty but so are brown eyes. Just put some eye shadow that is like an exotic color so they stand out more. Try like purples and greens !

All you have to do is go to "Your Questions" on the left side, then find the question and delete it.

last year during school.. i cut myself.. and two teachers found out.. and i went to my lunch table crying because no one was suppost to find out.. now the teachers email me asking how am I doing with cutting... and my friends really treat me different. someone has even called me an emo whore because i cut myself. my question is.. how do i get everyone to stop treating me different without getting them mad at me? thank you.

Well first off, cutting is not good. Whenever someone bothers you about this just tell them that that was the past and people shouldn`t be judging you on what you did but who you are now. And if they get mad at you then they are pretty lame because they shouldn`t be treating you differently. You`re not getting fat. It`s just that that`s how your body is forming and becoming into a woman. But if you want you could do crunches or sit ups but you go to your sides instead of to your knees. Good luck!

i always see hott guys around. like i dont personally know them or talk to them but i see the same hott guys lately. ive been goin to this field called east twins and watching baseball (its a boys league) im 16/f and yeah my friend and i go there alot or are starting to. im jealous though because all these pretty girls go to watch these hott guys that they are friends with and i feel stupid going there becausue i just get jealous and upset because im not gonna go up and talk to them since i dont know them--i dont know! i get so jealous when pretty girls talk to guys i think are hott. im sucha a shy person and i would really like to have someone this summer or at least a couple good guy friends. what do you think i should do? my friend and i dont really talk to them that much and plus we arent gonna go talk to them with the "pretty popular" girls there since they are gonna talk to them! i have just been having boy trouble lately and i dont know whats with me! i just feel so ugly around these girls. can i get these boys attention without physically talking to them? is there anyway..because maybe i can get them to come up to me somehow haha i dont know i dont think it helps that i dont think im pretty at all..

Okay first of all you`re not ugly at all, and I know you don`t think you are ugly either because if you really thought it, you woudln`t have posted a website for everyone to judge you. You don`t need to be shy even thought I know how you feel. If you want to talk to these boys, you can just like talk to them when the other girls aren`t around. Since you said they play baseball you could walk up to them one day and be like, " I saw you playing out there. You`re really good. We should hang out sometime and maybe you can show me how to play.." or something like that a lot of boys like it when a girl is interested into their likes. Good lucke

iam going out with this guy and i like him alot and he likes me alot but i never see him. the only times he calls me is on the weekends when hes with his mom. its thats not offten for him to call. i like other guys so i dont know if i should date him anymore since we never do anything. hes not passing 8th grade so if he doesnt pass 8th grade and doesnt go on the the high school i might as well dump him becuase i wont see him at all. so what do you think i should do? just wait and deal with it or dump him and get a new boyfriend that ill see alot more?

Okay, well if you don`t see him that much but you want to try dating other guys then you should probably take a break and see how everything works out. If you just wait and deal with it, he won`t think anything is wrong and then you`d be probably hurting him worse. If you won`t even see him like in high school and you don`t see him a lot other times, then you`re basically having a long-distance relationship. Good luck!

i got a creanberry juice stain on my green velour sweat pants, and my mom put tide detergent on just the part where the stain was. the stain came out, BUT the fabric is damaged. Instead of being velour, it's kind of towel-textured and the color faded. (i think because we used Tide with bleach)

There`s really no way to reverse what you did. Just try to love them they way they are. Maybe try fashioning, (I don`t know if that`s a word or not) them to make it not as noticeable.

okay i think every teen probably thinks the same thing at least once...are my parents doing this because "they care" or is it because they know it'll piss me off? (okay maybe not THAT thing but something along the lines of that) recently i was grounded because i took to many pics with my cam and i was talkin to "unknown" people on IM...YES i know its a bad thing! Honestly, you shouldn`t be talking to people online who you`ve never actually met before because even if you think you know someone, you don`t. I mean I used to talk to people I didn`t know either before but now everyone on my buddylist, I`ve at least seen. You may think nothing will happen but you don`t know that for a fact. Taking pictures and then sending them to people you`ve never actually met is dangerous, expecially if they weren`t appropriate [sp] pictures. Your parents have EVER right to take the computer away from you because they wouldn`t try to protect you if they didn`t care. So yes, they do care. You`re just mad at this moment because you feel it`s unfair, but really it`s only for your own good. Try to meet these people you say are your friends that you`ve never met somewhere public or ask them to come over when YOUR PARENTS ARE HOME because if they are who they say they are, they won`t have a problem with it. Just be safe.

what's a good way to keep your breath smelling fresh and oderless all day long? do listerine strips work well? i know that minty sweet gums don't.. so if anyone has any input,,please tell me!! thanks a bunch!

Actually mints and stuff like that only keeps your breath fresh for a little bit, but they do work. Most of your bad breath comes from your tongue. Just brush your teeth after every meal and floss, because all the disgusting stuff that`s left between your teeth will cause bad breath. There`s also a tongue cleaner that you can buy that will clean your tongue easier and it works.

This is kind of random but do you think that when someone losses thier virginity they should tell thier parents?

Well if you think your parents are going to freak out then I personally would not tell them but I mean you could talk to your parents and explain to them that you were ready and you were safe, and see what happends. |x|

Ok, well here is my problem. There is this kid Matt in my school, and I like him a whole lot. Probably the only girl at school that does like him but I do. People always ask me what I see him and I can't answer that question but I see something and I know what but I just can't explain it. I just like him. Sue me. Matt is really nice to me when me and him are talking alone, like yesterday we ran the mile in school for P.E. and he ran with me the whole time, and we talked alot but I didn't tell him anything about liking him because I had asked him before if he liked me and he said no so I dropped it but didn't move on. When Matt is around his friends he acts really different. He is rude and really obnoxious and it makes me really mad because he is such a nice guy without them. Matt told me one time when I asked him if he liked me or not that he doesn't but that is not what most people who know I like him say. In history class he sits behind me and pokes me and always tries to get my attention. I must admit I like it but I hate being confused about him liking me or not. I have a great boyfriend now and he makes me really happy. I am kind of getting over Matt, or trying to anyway but it is not working. My boyfriend knows I like Matt because I am honest with him and I told him. My question is to you, what should I do about Matt?

Aw that's really cute. Okay if I was in your position I would move on from liking Matt that way and just being his really close friend. I think he likes you though because guys are just like girls. They sometimes don't want to show they like someone in front of their friends. But if he isn't going to come out on his own then don't force him. Well maybe he just wants to be friends. I know you like him a lot but what since you guys are good friends why ruin it ? Because in the end you guys will probably go back out, ya know ?
