i was in my friends pool all day today and after a while, it hurt when i wiped my eyes so i stayed in for like a half hour longer and went home. now my whole face is red and hurts really bad. how can i treat this right now and without having to go to the store because i have no one to drive me there

if you have aloe pour lots on..and try getting a damp washcloth and keeping it on your face..stay out of the sun and if you do go outside put a lot of sunscreen on and maybe wear some shades and/or a hat

ok falling out of love as you put it is very hard..to fall out of love..it will take time..as the months go by things will get easier for you

in the meantime try to
-go out with friends.alot. this will take your mind off him for awhile
-meet new people..form new crushes

to get him back..
-write him a letter..email him..talk to him..phone call..or in person and really have a serious talk of why you dumped him and how u were afraid but now you realize how you cant be without him
-have a friend talk to him

all you can do is let him know how you feel and stuff..its up to him to waant to get back together..it taakes 2 for a relationship

remain proud for your brave brother and maybe try to find a chatroom for famillies of brothers,uncles,dads,etc who are fighting in iraq..i think talking to other people in your situation would help a lot.

Ok, well Im 13 female and I haven't gotten my period. But I've been discharging ALOT lately, its Kinda gross. When I wake up There will be so much discharge down there, and like if im climbin over the couch or somethin and it accidently hits "down there" I'll start discharging like crazy. Whats goin on and how long will it last?

yes it means your period will be coming soon... i would pack a pad or something in your purse when you go somewhere because you wouldnt want to be stuck with your period and no pads or tampons!
its unpredictable...girls may have discharge for 6 months...1 year..you just dont know..be prepared!

I have a small but confusing problem, to do with my friend.(I'll call him John)John's dad is a CEO and he has been out of the country for the past 10 months. He got back almost a week ago and saturday he sat down his family and confessed that he had been unfaithful to John's mother durring the 10 months. This really shook up John, he's scared, confused and really unsure of alot of things right now. And he came to me. And I don't know how to respond to this. I want to be supportive and I don't know what I would do if I were him. And he's alot more than a friend, and about 3 years older. What would you do if you were in our situation?

juust being there to talk to him is support...let him know your always here to talk..

simply hangin out with him and cheering him up by taking him somewhere or going out is supporting him.
if i were you i would comfort him..lend him a shoulder to cry on..and when your not having these serious talks i would try and have fun with him by going out and getting his mind off family problems..it would mean a lot just doing simple things like that

14/f -- my friends in I call ourselfs "the crew". Mainly, it's me & my boyfriend, his best friend & his girlfriend [my best friend], and occasionally a few others. We all have open relationships were we tell each other everything. Except we don't tell our b/f&g/fs everything so we kinda share secrets and give advice and such. tell him that its not happening and your very happy with your bf..yell at him about how he can be doing this to his best friend! tell him to back off and consider breaking up with your friend if he doesnt like her (because lets face it...is it fair for him to still be with her when he doesnt like her?)
think about if your best friend was trying to get your bf to cheat on you with her..wouldnt you want to know? so i would thnk about telling your bf and your best friend...this guy def needs to be confronted because what kind of friend would do this to his best friend?

ok so this is about my boyfriend. we go to the movies and hang out. but he dosnt wear colonge and you know what im saying..girls like it when their guys smells good. Not that he like smells bad..but thats my weekness.. its just turning me off totally..how might i bring it up that he should wear cologne?

my opinion is that bringing it up might start an unessasary
fight. why dont you buy him some cologne and give it to him as a little present..when he asks why just reply "because i love you" or something sweet like that. he will probably use it and maybe get into that stuff more...another advantage is he will wear the cologne you pick out..so when you buy the cologne ..get a scent that will drive you wild when your sitting next to him at the movies.

its a good idea to get him to start wearing cologne without bringing it up and getting into a possible argument.

Hey... ANOTHER field hockey question... well since i hope to try out for the team next year at school which starts in like 2 months I want to get in shape. I was wondering what i can do to be in shape and at my best when playing the sport.. i was thinking maybe swimming laps in my pool.. or i dont really know.. anyone who has any tips i dont care what sport you play but a field hockey player mite help more.. idk ... thxx!

field hockey involves a lot of running so good endurance and leg strength is important..start to walk ...jog..and sprint more. it will prepare you well for field hockey. swimming is good to help with any sport..it builds muscle. just practice practice practice as well running,sprinting, etc.

I have 3 best friends. Well, all these guys like my one best friend and their always around her and soo many people follow her and try to be her friend! It's so annoying because sometimes she ignores me, and my crush is one of the guys that likes her, and shes always hanging out with him. My first question is do you think I should be mad at her becuase shes always ignoring me for boys and shes ALWAYS hanging out with my crush??? i would ignore her for awhile if talking doesnt help. hang out with your other friends and forget her...if shes true she will come back to you and realise what shes been doing and how shes been acting *fake* and neglecting you.

I'm 16, moving to college this fall, I have at the moment 3 people I consider to be my best friends... we're not going to the same colleges, but I never doubted for a second we wouldn't keep in touch, we've been friends for nearly 5 years, had our ups and downs but been solid for a year!
Well we decided a month or so ago we were all going to go together to get some piercings done! and tried to decide a date, it kept getting moved for various reasons... finally we decided wednesday but I found out I had an appointment on that day... and also needed to check with my workplace they didnb't have any problems with facial peircings... so asked if we could go next week instead... anyhow I found out today they went without me! the thing is, they didn't even tell me they were going... my friend said the other two decided to go because there was a party today and they wanted to show it off there... and she went along with them... now the thing is, I wouldn't have minded so much if they'd told me this, but I'm really hurt they value showing a pericing off more then going with their friend... and also that they went behind my back :(
What should I do about this? I have events and gigs coming up where I'm going with them and I don't know what to say to them or how I should react! I do tend to be a little emotional about these things but to me this is a big thing, that they chose this party over me!

things like this happen in friendships..similar stories have happened to me and probably everyone here at advicenators. what im trying to say is dont let this ruin a good friendship. everything else in your friendship is good right? so i wouldnt start a fight over something just to make matters worse. this situation can be fixed by you asking for them to come along with you when you get yours done. im sure they will say yes.

yes im in your situation also. its been a good 2 years since i had a real relationship..since that ended there has been little or no action in my love life. guys just want to be my friend..thats all i am to them..and im often the one to be talking to them about hooking up with my friends or giving advice, that sort of thing. Its frustrating but people like us have personality...character..we're nice..its all the qualities needed in a long term relationship and our day will come..for now though..we have to keep being ourselves, waiting for the perfect guy to come.

What do you think of a girl in her young teens(say 15,16) starting a relationship with someone thats about 11 years older then her. Say, this guy really does like the girl and the girl totally loves this guy. What are your thoughts on this? there is too much of an age gap...thats what i think..i also think the guy should be looking for a woman in his age group..why is he hanging around a young teen girl? i would conclude he wants sex because a girl 11 years younger than him is more vulnerable because she will look up to him..even idolize him. i dont think its a good idea and i would not put myself in that situation because of what i just said and the fact that MY PARENTS would kill me.
