hey. since last week, my 3 partners and i knew about the spanish project, which is to "reteach" a chapter to the class within 40 minutes. So, i went home and typed up a plan for us to follow and a packet for the class to do. but once i showed my group, they thought: "yeah its good. we should all do extra worksheets, though, for each topic". and i KNEW that that would not work. last year i had the same project, and my group ran out of time and we were rushing through everything and yeah. well they didnt think we would run out of time. anyways, last weekend i asked if they wanted to go over what we were going to do and they said no. the same thing happened when i asked if they wanted to do it after school this week. well now tomorrow none of us know what we're doing (tomorrow is when we present) and i have tried to get us together to work on it! what do i do? this is a TEST GRADE!

Just as you go up, say, this is MY project. Tot he class and the teacher. Teach it solo, and make your groupmates look bad.That's what I would do.

Is there a way I can get soft ringlets by using a curling iron? I've tried but it all just kind of clumps together and doesn't make separate little curls. My hair is shoulder-length.

Use a small barrel iron and small sections of hair. When you ake off the curls, leave it clamped and get the rest of the hair off, then unclamp he clamp.

What are some really good songs to help you hit higher notes and to help vibrato?

In general, Broadway musicals are going to give you a high range. You can take any song an bump it up an octave to make it higher. If you are looking to increase your range, I would advise buying a choir warmup book with CDs (Singing for Dummies is a great one, and it even has a CD) and doing that. Let me know if you need more help. Are you currently an alto, soprano, tenor or bass? Let me know and I can provide more assistance!!

I've been having a sore throat for about 3 days now... Is there any ways to make it go away? It feels like I'm always trying to clear my throat but I can't. Should I just drink a lot of water? I can't sleep because it feels like I can't breathe.

Eat apples, drink apple juice. That's what they give us in choir to keep our voices going strong. Vicks might help, too.

They're free radio shows (that aren't on the radio) that any kind of iPod can get. Hit subscribe and you're good to go!

Our highschool is having auditions for "The Music Man" Tomorrow night around 6. I need a song to sing...I really can't think of and good/semi It can me with or without music. My voice talents are limited, but they are there, so any suggestions would be marvelous!

Do you know what part (soprano, alto, tenor...) you sing?

Regardless, slower songs from awhile back or Broadway are generally good. Don't go out singing The Black Eyed Peas. I would recommend a solo from your musical that you could sing. That's your best bet.

many talented singers take voice lessons to improve their already decent voice. however, do people who don't have a good voice at all ever take voice lessons? would this help improve a voice at all. I am not just saying this, I really do not have a good voice, I can't hit any notes or stay in tune. I know you are probably thinking "I am sure her vpice is OK, but honestly it is not one of my strong points. I know I have other strengths and talents, but I am basically an awful singer. I am not looking to be transformed into an amazing famous singer or anything, but I would like to have a decent voice so I am not embaressed to sing out loud! Do you know anyone like me that has ever taken voice lessons? Would they at all help someone who has vritually no singing talent? Is it worth it, and would it improve me a little? Or do voice teachers expect only to work with people who are already okay at singing? I would also be embaressed to go to a professional...someone who can sing so well! Any comments or advice? Thank You!

First of all, no professional should ever be embarassed to work with someone not great. Much of what a vocal lesson consists of is conditioning the voice. They really don't improve your voice as they do your stamina. I suggest trying one lesson or consulting with a local teacher to see if they can help you. If they can't, write back and I can help you, I teach and also sing quite a bit. Do you have a keyboard or piano, if not, consider investing in one of these and learn to play it, since tuning your voice revolves around it. Let me know. I actually mean that.

Hello. I am getting a new computer in 2 weeks, and I have a concern. For the songs that I have downloaded and bought for my iPod, do I need to redownload/buy all of the songs again for the new computer?

You should get them onto your iPod, and then just upload your iPod onto your new computer

Since AOL is a paid service, they choose to maintain their user's privacy by only allowing AOL members to see their profiles. AIM is free, so they can usually see AIM user's profiles, as well as AOL ones. I hop I didn't confuse you, and Happy Holidays!

I want an ipod for Christmas. I have a few questions.

What is cheapest? What holds the most songs? How do you connect it to your computer? How much will they be? What ipod do you have/ recommend?

Where can I get FREE music? Where do YOU recommend I get music? (Limewire, Ares, etc..) Does it cause many viruses? How do you get the music into the Ipod?

I want a digital camera.

The iPod Shuffle is the cheapest model, but hols up to 200 songs and has no screen. The regular iPods hold like 10,000. There is a wire that can connect into your firewire or usb port on your computer. iPods range in price from $99 (shuffle) to $399 (iPod video). I actually have the iPod mini (the colorful ones, mine is green), but they aren't really making those anymore; they've replaced them with the nano, which is way too small, physically, but it has the same capabilities as a mini (1000 songs). Your best bet is probably the standard iPod.

Free music is illegal, you are stealing from the artist. Most file-sharing sites give you viruses. I don't know how you'd get the music into iTunes or your iPod.

I was wondering which magazines write true stories..and which ones make them up..(ex: People magazine, InTouch, Life&Style, Star, etc) How do I know which magazine would be a waste of time to read?

I'm assuming you mean tabloids, not magazines like Time, Seveenteen, or National Geographic. While many tabloids do make things up, and most are the same, People and InTouch stand out as awardwinners for me. Star is pretty fake.

Okay, I've had really strong feelings for a guy for about three years, and they just won't go away. I've known this particular boy since I was in the 3rd grade, and now that we're in our first year of high school together, I feel really close to him. We don't talk very much, but occasionally he says something random to me because sits in front of me in one of my classes (assigned seating, he didn't chose to sit in front of me....unfortunately). I told him that I liked him about three years ago, and he didn't feel the same way then. I just wonder if maybe he's changed his feelings now. The thing is, he's already had four girlfriends and I've only had one boyfriend, so I feel kind of inexperienced and immature in comparison. My high school has a winter formal dance coming up soon. Do you think I should ask him to go?
