Aol profiles
What does this mean? "Note: AOL member profiles are not accessible through AOL Instant Messenger." i dont get it and really want to know!! thanks in adance! ill rate!

it means that if you dont have AOL, & only AIM, then you can't view those peoples profile that have AOL, not AIM.

Since AOL is a paid service, they choose to maintain their user's privacy by only allowing AOL members to see their profiles. AIM is free, so they can usually see AIM user's profiles, as well as AOL ones. I hop I didn't confuse you, and Happy Holidays!

If you highlight someones screename and the first thing you see in the box besides their screename says internet, you wont be able to see their profile.

It means the screen name of the person's profile that you are looking at has AOL and a person using AIM can't veiw an AOL users profile.

They have AOL and you cannot see them through AIM cause their different programs.

I means that person is using AOL not AIM. Usually not the teen AOL. You can only have a profile on AIM.

It's like, they don't have AIM but another form of instant message but can still talk to AIM members.

If you have aim it means that that person has aol and you can't veiw their profile because it's a different format, aol.

ok, you have AIM right? well if you do, this happens because people that have AOL have a different kind of profile then the people with AIM do, and it doesnt go through with people from people that have AIM.

if you are using a service such as AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) and try to read somebody's profile who just has AOL, you cannot read it.
okay simpler words, you can't read there profile because you have a diff. instant messenging service than them.

it means that they're using AOL not AIM. AIM is juss instant messaging where AOL is a whole bunch of other stuff such as email, IM, internet, games, music, etc.
