Q: I just turned 14. I'm about 5'5 and weigh about 105 lbs. I feel I am fat for some reason even though I wear extra smalls and zero's in clothing and everything. Everyone thinks I am very tiny but I don't see myself that way. Because I feel I am fat I try to do 200 crunches a day along with running for about a half hour. Is there anything else I can do to loose weight and just tone up more? I also don't eat much. Like for maybe a couple days a month I'll eat like breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But all the rest of the time I usually only eat a small breakfast and that's it. Am I over doing the whole weight loss thing? Everyone has been yelling at me and saying I am overdoing it and I really want to know if I am. Please help and answer. Is my weight ok for my height and age? I both cheerlead and run track and want to make sure I am skinny cause for some reason I feel people won't like me otherwise. Can someone please give me some advise and help on the situation? Thanks. *Love Always Annonomous*

I'm tempted to think you're both a little underweight, and kind of overdoing it. I don't think you need to worry about your weight, or your diet.
If you overdo the excercise, it is possible to make yourself sick.
Check your Body Masss Index (I think). I used to know a site, but I can't remember.
I can tell you're a stick without seeing you. Sometimes it's good to have curves instead of angles. I mean, I'm 16. I'm about 5'3.5" and I weigh 112, but I have a great figure (if I do say so myself, lol).
You're still growing. If you don't have extra body fat on you, where's it gonna go when you stretch out (tallwise/widthwise, etc)?
Don't worry too much about fitting the "model thin" stereotypical "perfect" body type. Everyone thinks I'm, like, really skinny, but I'm not. I'm at a good weight for my height and age.
You generally look skinnier than you really are. Not sure why, but it's true. Keep that in mind.
Hope I helped!

Oh, honey. I know EXACTLY how you feel. My boyfriend's in Vegas (Like, all the way across the country) until late August and our nine month is on the 14th.
If he's been with you for this long and hasn't screwed up, he's probably still being good. He probably does miss you as much as you miss him.
I get depressed at night sometimes when we would've been hanging out, and I worry, too, about him finding someone better out there, but then I remember things he's said that reassure me that he would never even look at another girl. He's also told me that girls have attempted to flirt, but he pushes them away.
Just try to think of positive things he's said to you and reassure yourself.
If you need someone to vent to, my screen name's SirenCytherea on AIM.

Q: How do you breakup with sumone that loves yOU?!

All you can do is break it off gently. Tell them they're a great person, but you just don't reciprocate their feelings, exactly.
Breakups are going to hurt no matter what you do, so it's best to not beat around the bush and just break it off - but gently.

Q:
--i have a friend who i seriously think is in love with her best friend! hez really sweet and treats her like gold! the only reason nothing hasnt went down between them yet is the fact that he is *20* and she is *15* i know that is a big age difference! but i was just thinkin if maybe they should try something in the future of course!?

It's entirely up to them.
I know a couple with a six year age difference (he's 21, she's 15), and neither of them have been happier. I've known them both since I was in 8th grade.
I maintain that age is a state of mind, not body.

Q: With guys I have no problem catching their eye but it's always real hard for me to talk to them. I get really nervous and it's hard to say anything at all... any help?

Aww...
I had that problem too. I liked a guy in choir for a few months. He'd always wink at me and hit on me, but I was always too afraid to talk to him. Lol.
Just chill out and imagine you're talking to one of your girlfriends. Or better yet, imagine you're talking to a guy friend. (Just don't talk to your crush about how hot your crush is! Lol that would be...interesting, to say the least.)
If by nervous you mean self conscious (I get this way ("do I look okay? I must have, like, some big ink smudge on my cheek...")), just take a deep breath and tell yourself you're a goddess. They have every right to worship you, and you have no reason to be nervous.
Just breathe. You caught their eye, right? See if you can charm your way into their heart. That's always fun. ^_^

Q: ok me and my bf have been going out for like 2 months and it seems like were like best friends instead of boyfriend and girlfriend... is that a good thing?

|
|
|
|

You should really have a little of both.
Like, you should be able to hang out and talk as if you two were friends, but you should also feel like you're boyfriend and girlfriend.
For instance, my guy and I can hang out with friends, and play video games, spending the entire time killing each other and laughing about it, but we still kiss and cuddle and all that when we're alone. We have no secrets from each other, and all that jazz...
If you can get that balance, that's a great relationship.
I hear way too much about people saying "we have this great bf/gf relationship, but we never just...hang out."
Hope I helped!

Don't use tongue during the first kiss. It'll be awkward. When you do, don't use too much. You're not trying to gag him. Just kind of...touch his tongue with yours.
Anyway, first kiss, keep your mouth pretty closed, but your lips pretty relaxed.

If I was in your situation, I would ask him what he'd like to do. If he's open to help (which he may not be - guys can be stubborn about that.) then do help him out. But if he isn't, give him the space he wants.
Let him make the decision, though. Don't pressure him to let you help - that may push him away further.
Good luck!

Q: I'm going to get braces within a few weeks and I'm kinda starting to worry about playing flute with them. Do any of you have braces and play flute? If so, is there anyway you can position the flute so it's not right on your chin when you play? Also, will having braces dramatically change my performance?

This is one I'm not sure I can help with...
I play flute, too, but I was so into it that I decided against getting braces so they wouldn't interfere with my playing.
My friends told me that the braces get in the way at first and hurt a little, but then you get used to it and you can still play. The fourth chair in band last year had braces since before I met her a year ago, and she was still pretty good.
Hope I helped a little!

Why don't you try calling HIM? He might just be busy. I mean, my guy's in Vegas for the summer and he forgets to call me sometimes.
Don't break up with him unless you find out that he's cheating on you or the relationship is just dying.
But DO find out what's going on. Just call him up. He shouldn't be the one to call you all the time. He might be happy to hear from you.

Well, if you want something to happen, you may have to make the first move. I mean, I had to practically tell my guy to kiss me, or he wouldn't have. Lol.
Just strike up a few conversations. It gets less intimidating when you do it more often.

Ooh, I can answer this one...
I had this problem, sort of.
Ligaments are parts of the body that connect your bones. When you go through a growth spurt, your ligaments have to stretch a little to allow your bones to grow. It's normal for them to still hurt. It'll stop after awhile.

Q: i'm 17 and never kissed anyone, how pathetic is that? the thing is, it's not like i'm ugly or anything because i know many people who have liked me or would've kissed me, but i don't want to make things weird between my guy friends by doing anything with them and the other guys who have liked me are not exactly top rate...another thing is that i never even tell people who i like cuz i don't want to be embarrassed...i don't know what i'm waiting for - someone who i feel comfortable with?? the perfect person who doesn't exist? i'm not the kind of person who would do things just to make myself appear cooler but as i get older it just gets more embarrassing to say i've never kissed anyone

You sound as critical as I am.
Just keep waiting. Your prince charming will come alone. Cliche, I know, but mine did. I ran into him in math class, like, just when I'd decided I was sick of dealing with guys, and wasn't going to get into another relationship. Then I fell for him really hard, really fast. Lol.
Your perfect person may exist, so keep waiting. Never settle for a guy. A good one will come along. I have a freind who's gonnna be 18 in november and she's never kissed a guy, or even admitted to having a crush on a guy.
Don't let the facts embarrass you. They make you who you are, as opposed to "just like everyone else". Be unique!
(and keep waiting for a guy you can tolerate, lol.)
Hope I helped!

Q: is it healthy to use dildos and "play" toys in sex and i was wondering..should you give head to guys with condoms on? and is there a female condom? i heard there was but i wasn't sure

It's perfectly normal. Some people like to do that. You can give head to guys with condoms on, but I hear the latex tastes worse than the penis. There is a female condom, but it's...weird. My mom tried to explain how it works and it just didn't make sense to me. Lol.

It depends on how heavy your period is. If you're bleeding a lot, then it may leak a bit. It is physically possible to have sex while on your period, but it's a matter of preference. Do you want to deal with the blood? Are you bleeding enough to actually HAVE to deal with it?
It's an opinion thing, really.

Awwwwww, honey!
Just take a breath and kiss the boy. Don't worry about being bad. If you are (which I doubt) he may be able to help you...my guy taught me how to french kiss better (lol). I was a little embarrassed, but we fixed the problem. Lol.
Also, if what he said hurt you, tell him! Just say "I know you were just joking around and all, but when you told me I was a bad kisser, it really hurt my feelings."
Kissing is fun when you get past the nervousness...Lol, so just take a breath and go for it.

Q: 2 weeks ago (to the day) I got grounded for acting like an idiot. I screwed up big time. I'm in trouble pretty much for saying I was at a friend's house and then leaving her house to hang out with other people. My parents were pissed beceause they couldn't find me for 2 hours. Understandable. But I have nothing. I'm not allowed on the computer (shh dont tell lol) I can't use the phone, go places, have people over, and they took my cell away. I'm going insane not being able to talk to people. They won't even tell me how long I'm grounded for. They keep saying that I'm grounded until they feel that I have proven to them that I can be let off of punishment. What exactly can I do to prove this? I've been cleaning and doing all that shit. I have a job, I'm active in sports, get decent grades. Honestly, most parents want a child like me. I mess up once in awhile, everyone does, but everytime I do they like spazz on me (usually when i mess up tho its pretty bad..) I just want to frikin be able to do something! i feel like i'm in prison except its worse because i have no one to talk to, i cant go outside, and i have no phone privilages. I'm going crazy!

I sat down, researched grounding (what works, what doesn't) and wrote my parents a 2-page typed (single spaced), five paragraph persuasive essay, explaining to them why they should lift my grounding.
It really worked. I did the whole "sincerely, your daughter __________

Okay, wow...that guy's kind of an ass. He left you just because you're messy?
Oy. You can't be worse than me...I find that really hard to believe.
Honey, for about three months, you couldn't WALK in my room without stepping on something. My boyfriend's room was never that bad, but still messy, so I figured it must be bad if he looked around and said "Yeah, honey, you need to clean your room..."
Sit down one day and just organize everything. Get a friend to help you. It's more fun if someone helps you out. That way you can both laugh at the weird things you find lying around. (I found homework from 8th grade, and I'm gonna be a senior, lol)
Just take a deep breath and dive into the mess...Lol
