Ok, me and my boyfriend have been dating for over a year and we really love each other. But, see, he moved back in January to a town thats really far away from where i live. So, lately my boyfriend and I havent been really connecting like we used to, and its just been awful. I really love him, dont get me wrong, but I've got a huge problem. There's this boy at my school, and he's really my type and he and I have been talking a lot and he wants to date me. I dont want to break up with him but then, hes talking about getting married and he's asked me to marry him and I'm not entirely ready for that. He's my first BIG relationship. I kinda wanna have some different experiences and thats exactly what this other boy is offering...fun, freedom, and no strings. I love my boyfriend, but sometimes I feel smothered...what should i do?
dude i recently went through this same exact thing. i was in the same position as you, i loved my boyfriend with all my heart, but were young and need to have fun you know, and i did feel very smothered. he asked me to marry him as well, and i had said yes. anyway, i ended up breaking up with him. let me tell you that was the hardest thing ive ever had to do and it still hurts me and him both, and this happened in november, but at the same time its a relief. of course i miss him and what we had, but it feels soo great to not be tied down. i told myself and him, breaking up is inevitable eventually. you cant be with one person forever, and if you were, chances are you'd have broken up with them at least once and then came back. you have to test the waters to know exactly what you want in a relationship. does that mean you and your boyfriend are completely over? no. but you cant strain a relationship just because you're afraid to lose it. especially in the situation where you two arent near each other anymore, because thats a big burden in a young relationship. if youre not ready to break up, try just going on a break. ive had another guy like me since before me and him broke up, and i still cant bring myself to go out with him yet because im not completely over my ex, so no it wont be easy. but its worth the shot and it will get easier. good luck girl!

to give a bit of a background...me and this guy went out for about a month in 11/06, and then broke up
we grew up a bit and then start going out again in february 07. we were "the perfect couple" according to everyone. and we agreed, we were always happy with eachother. he got to know my entire family, i met his family, we were really close basically, and obviously cared about eachother
earlier in december i broke up with him, not because i didnt love him, but he was doing a lot of things that really bothered me. i tried telling him, i wrote him notes, i said it to his face, i got his friends to talk to him. nothing worked, so i was left no choice but to break up with him.
it was a nasty break, even though i wanted to stay friends with him. theres some other stuff in the middle of this (he cut, smoked, some other forms of self harm, i tried to get him to stop...)
on the last day of school i opened my locker to find a bag of stuff i got him (birthday gift, 6 month gift, all the pictures of us, everything that symbolized us)
they were his things though so i tried to put them back in his locker but he purposely got his combo changed so i couldnt (he admitted to that)
that bag of stuff (besides leaving me in tears) started to make me realize how much i miss him..or what we had at least
and i cant tell if i want to get back together with him, or i just miss what we had.
because i cant picture myself with anyone else because i know it would never be like what i had with him
do i go back to him?
everyone always misses what they had, especially with a relationship that was really close. its normal. you broke up with him for a reason. has he changed his ways that made you want to break up in the first place? if not, going back out with him would be pretty pointless. it may all be good again at first, but if he hasnt changed youd be back where you started, either trying to get him to stop again or breaking up. if you think you can get past what he's doing, then go for it. but a relationship with someone who is self-destructive and smokes, etc. cant be very healthy. im sure you could find someone just as good as his good-self, or better. the memories will still be there and you will miss them, but getting over that is a part of growing up and moving on, not that itll be easy. if you really think you want to give him another chance, then see what happens, but i think if you did youd be going in a constant circle. good luck!

i have the same problem with the lock set on the screen. i tried "0000" and also plugging into the computer and both did not work. do you have any other possible solutions. thanks.
so the code you made up isnt working? if "0000" and plugging it in doesnt work, im not real sure what to do. it says on the ipod that if you forget your code plugging it in to the computer will unlock it, so it seems like that would do the trick? maybe try resetting it if it will respond, or just leave it and let the battery run down till it dies and see if the lock screen's gone away after its been charged again. if none of the above work, email Apple. sorry & good luck!

ok, so i went to the extras button, and it said SCREEN LOCK. now this is a new ipod nano, so i clicked it, and it had me put in a 4 digit code. after that it locked my screen, and i cant undo it! now it just shows like a padlock, and it wont unlock or let me type in my code. IT WONT DO ANYTHING
how do i unlock itttt!??!

does it turn red when you put in a code? if the code you made doesnt work, put in "0000". i thought i set mine but actually you have to type in "0000" THEN set in your code to change it, which i didnt know. so try "0000".
if that doesnt work, plugging it in to your computer will unlock it.

The girl that I am with has been very peculiar as of late. I really do like her and I have treated her very well so far. Where we run into problems is that when I open up and admit feelings, she tends to blow it off. She sort of lumps me in with the awful guys she has known. Recently she was surprised with how I pay attention to what she says. I commented that "I care about what she says more than how she looks" which is a true statement. But she goes "pffft, as if". Now, what bothers me is that i do care about her. It's like I'm being punished for having any feelings. Also, it really bothers me that I get lumped in with other guys. I've tried being less sexual in hopes it would help but it doesn't seem to. My gut instinct is that she only wants a physical relationship but is scared to face that fact. She and I have had both a strong sexual side but also a strong friendly conversational side from the start. Any suggestions on how to act? I don't want to get angry when she accuses me of just liking her body and stuff. It really isn't the case. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
what happened when you tried being less sexual? how did she react? if she was taken aback by it, maybe she does only want a physical relationship. but, what do you know about her past relationships? was she really hurt before? the fact that she blows off your feelings and replies with things like "as if", it could be that shes blocking out her feelings and preventing herself from getting close to you so she wont end up hurt, especially if it is a reasonably new relationship. if she compares you with other "awful guys" its very possible she has been burned by love in the past.. probably by guys who acted really sweet and genuine and then used her, cheated on her, blew her off, etc., and she is just preparing for the chance that you may be like them. give it time, you can try talking to her, but either way id say lay off the sexual stuff and try to just establish a strong relationship emotional-wise so yall will have some stability and she will be more comfortable around you and let her guard down if it is in fact up. good luck!

Hi a few of the songs I have downloaded and put on my ipod are louder then all the others, so that when they are shuffled to it deafens me and i have to quickly turn my ipod down, then up again after the song lol, does anyone know how to make the song quieter so its the same level as all the other songs on my ipod?

in your itunes, go to edit -> select all.. then right click and "get info", go to options, and make sure the volume is at 100%. click ok. then go to edit -> preferences -> playback and make sure "sound check" is checked. this plays all your music at the same level. all your songs in your library should be at the same level now. make sure sound check is on on your ipod also so it wont be different on there.
I pierced my nose about 4 months ago. I've changed my studs a couple of times already. I really want a hoop ring but i don't know what they look like. I'm kinda confused. Is it like an earring or what? When I go into hot topic, I don't know if those rings are for lips or noses. I really don't want a captive bead ring. Where can I get a nose hoop ring? Online sites? I've always found studs..

you could do online searches. it always comes up with alot. or im sure Hot Topic or Spencer's will have some. theres probably not much difference in a nose or lip ring.. as long as you made sure you got the right gauge. you could ask someone that works at the store, but if you look in Hot Topic's or Spencer's jewelry cases they usually have their jewelry divided up into sections.. ears, labret, tongue, eyebrow, nose, etc. also im pretty sure Claires/the Icing have nose hoops.

honestly the CHI is awesome. my hair is such a headahce to straighten and stay straight, but the CHI works wonderfully. i got mine at Target for $120ish.

I have a boyfriend of a year and 3 months. but, i think im starting to like another guy, and i think he likes me. things between my boyfriend and I have been rough lately and this boy asks how we are everyday and he always tries to flirt with me and even asked me to go to his football game. wow, that is sooo scary. i could swear up and down i wrote this. i JUST got out of the same exact situation and my bf and i have been together for a yr and 3 months too. the guy i liked was the 1st guy i had liked since my boyfriend and heres what i can tell you. i asked my bf if we could take a break [which before i did it, i thought was such a stupid idea], because of the fact that i liked the other guy and it didnt feel right being with one guy and liking another, and because of some other stuff too, but yeah. it broke both our hearts in half. its true you never know what you have until you lose it. we both cried for days, i cried longer actually but yeah we cried together and everything. it ended up nothing past flirting happened between the other guy and i, despite the fact he liked me too. what i do know is my bf and i were apart for a little over a month yet we still acted the exact same; there was no denying we loved each other and pretty soon i was getting over the other guy; he started acting real jerkish sometimes and he just didnt compare to my boyfriend ya kno? any time he and i flirted, or held hands, or anytime he kissed me on the cheek before leavin school, the first thing that came to my mind was my boyfriend and if i was doing the right thing. im over him now and my bf and i are back together and happy as ever. yeah it was a real rough patch but we got through it. dont just stick with your boyfriend because he is a 'sure thing'. i couldnt picture my life without my boyfriend either, and sure enough, i couldnt do it. the question is, if you and your guy do go on a break or break up or whatever, what would happen if you wanted him back... would he be too scared of being hurt again? would he hold it against you? is yall's relationship strong enough to deal with that? who knows, you may find you really like this other guy and yall could end up staying together. if not, you could still be fine without your boyfriend. but decide whats more important.. having a little fun, not being commited and just dating around, or being with someone you know you love and you know loves you, who you could possibly have a real future with.

K.. so i want to join this gym... Planet Fitness in Danvers, MA. They have a package that offers unlimited tanning but I'm only 16 and a half. I was just wondering if I needed parental consent for that? (my mom probably wouldn't sign it)
Because some people say I do, but I go tanning at this other tanning salon in Massachusetts and they don't require parental consent.
**Don't answer if you are just going to tell me I'm getting cancer. I tan for other benefits than just comestic, but my parents just still object**
most tanning salons allow 16 yr olds to sign up without a parental signature, however most gyms require that you be 18 to sign up unless signed up with a parent [and even then someone over 18 has to be with you], so if its AT a gym, you'll probably have to be 18. calling and asking would be the best solution though!
how do you get rid of really bad split ends without havingur hair cut really short
thats basically the only way to get rid of them. you dont have to get your hair cut really short, but a trim should do. you can do things to prevent them but once they're there, they're there. you can keep your hair healthy by using things like leave in conditioner, heat protecting spray if you blow dry, straighten, etc, or i heard rubbing a small amount of regular conditioner works too. if you want, you can do the conditioner thing on your hair with split ends.. it wont make them go away but itll make them look and feel softer and not so dead.
Hi, I really hope you can help; i've gotten mixed responses from others...
Basically, my BF discovered that in my senior year of college (I graduated last year) I had taken two semesters worth of judo classes and he thought this was really funny b/c I don't look like, I guess, a "typical" jock chick--that is i'm not muscular or buff or whatever...i'm your stereotypical "girly girl" in appearance--tall, skinny, blond hair, blah blah blah and I'm like 125 lbs....so he's laughing at me, calling me "judogirl", etc., and I was fine w/all that, if a little annoyed, but then he made a mistake: he challenged me to a wrestling match...and I beat him.
He outweighs me by like 40 lbs. and is pretty strong but he didn't understand that my judo skills would use his strength against him and he just couldn't believe I won. I figured it was a one-time deal, but he was so bent out of shape that he's challenged me several times since then, and I've defeated him every time. It would be OK if he didn't take it so seriously, but he just becomes this mean pouty jerk when he loses and keeps challenging me and now i've refused to wrestle him b/c it's no fun and I hate his sexist attitude as well. But refusing to wrestle just makes him angrier and he says stuff like "you're just afraid i'll figure out your 'tricks' and win...it's so annoying!
I've considered just faking it and letting him win but I don't REALLY want to do that b/c I'm proud of my skills, and just wish he would be too...plus when he baits me w/all this "you're just a girl" crap, it gets my goat and i'm more than happy to throw him to the floor and pin him when he gets too tired to fight me off...
Have you ever beaten a boy at something athletic--whether martial arts or sports--or know a girl who has? B/c maybe if I can tell him he's not the only one he won't feel so bad...

have i ever beatin a guy? probably. ha. im fairly athletic, used to be really athletic and im competitive too. i think i have beaten guys before, but not alot, maybe just a couple times so i cant think of anything right off the bat.
dont worry about him. guys are just sore losers especially when they lose to girls. its just a big hit to their pride and they cant STAND it because they have to be the top dogs in everything. its just a guy thing. either you can beat him over and over and over and let him go on and on and pray he eventually gives us, or just ignore it and tell him he's making an idiot of himself and to let it go.

i am almost seventeen and came out of this period of about two years where everything was going wrong. my attitude has completely tuned around now and everything is different. i want to mark it with a tattoo, but i don't know anything about it.

like they said, pain depends on the person. im not sure where it would hurt the least, but i have heard that the tops of feet, the back of the neck, shoulder blades, and lower back hurt the worst. tattoos can get pretty pricey.. most places charge by the hour, though. so if you get it filled in and all that stuff, price will go up. if you have any friends or relatives with tattoos, talk to them about the places they got them done and then maybe have a consultation with the artist.. im sure they could tell you exactly what you need to know =]
